I'm a hobbyist who's been producing for about 12 years, considering going professional. I definitely don't need Collectors Edition right away, but for 50% off cyber sale... I couldn't resist lol. Cannot wait for my Mac Studio to arrive in a couple weeks and load this stuff up. Thanks for the vid, helped in staving off any buyers remorse haha.
@@christianrae5179 It's on annually, usually from mid-November to December, sometimes into January. They also have summer sales, but that just ended as far as I'm aware.
I was pondering on collectors, but for such price - got it immediately. Such a vast amount of instruments. Especially love Ashlight, perfect for Dark ambient
This is my first try with Komplete, bought the stand 14 then upgraded to ultimate then to collectors. It’s way more than anybody needs but I like that! And when 15 comes out I’ll see if the upgrade enough to get it, but there is a lot there! With the full flstudio and Cubase pro, what else would anybody need?
Bro I just bought the collectors edition at 50% off for $900 thinking I spent a lot but your video makes me feel positive and happy about my purchase. My next goal is to get those keyboards
I got my K14 CE! I'm so stoked to use it. Just download it all in my external ssd waiting to finish installing. Too much downloads its the only down side haha.
Awesome!!! Welcome to the club! Best thing is from here on it’ll always be $250 for the update! I have mine on an external 2TB ssd as well. No regrets! Comment your favorite instrument once you’ve had some time with it! Congrats 🍾
Even with a large external hard drive , you need to have extra space on your main computer. Hard drive is going to use some of that and spit it back out later.
@CARLTONMOXLEYUnknownpianist Thanks for your response. Yea I bought an external 2T ssd for it. I also didn't download it all. Just a 1T of it; I still have 500gb of libraries to download. My computer still has 1.2T of free space. My problem is that the Plugin icons for komplete kontrol or Maschine, which you can find on the NI Resources folder 📂, it does not regenerate.
I've just upgraded to Standard on summer discount, but even if there is much less thing than in ultimate, I dont think I would use all instruments there. First of all, there is too many of instruments, and review all presets gonna take you loooong time, which I dont have. I just upgraded mostly for few intruments: Kontakt 7 ( to host instruments from other producers and better UI than kontakt 6) , guitars, effects (like Guitar Rig 6), Massive X and Ozone Standard. Even it I got only these for 200$, this is fucking awesome price for all of that. I for sure will upgrade to ultimate next year on next discount ( I want this Orchestral stuff! ), but not this one : I've bought already too much others VST last few months and I need time to learn work with them, including NI Standard. What is funny, I didnt want to buy Omnisphere, which is also great, just because I was thinking that its too expensive for me, but I've already spend more money on all others VST this year. Lol, its like almost addiction for me, hunting for discount VST's, and I need to stop it.
Yea it really just depends on what you’re going to use it for. I produce so many styles so I need a lot but standard is still really good for a lot of productions! And yes I’m a gear junkie so I gotta collect them all haha
I haven't moved past Komplete Start yet to be honest that is where people are supposed to start and get a feel for it. Why haven't I upgraded? Because other brands basically got to Me first and I have had more then enough to mess with already.
@@ZacBarnesMusic Mostly for the symphonic stuff, clasically trained and into movie soundtracks so i think a lot of the expansions i dont use but only way to get the symphonic was collectors
Ok yea I would go CE. You’ll get a kick out of the full symphony series and it’s a bargain for that price. Spitfire and LASS and EAST WEST are much more expensive. Definitely recommend CE edition for film scoring. I don’t regret it at all.

Yessir! Enjoy it man! I scooped up a 2TB Samsung ssd for $199 to hold everything and more in one nice clean place.

I use Komplete Ultimate since Version 8.... Upgrade to CE when they started. And i am verry happy with this Product.
Cool Video!

Wow!!! This was awesome, great job my man. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the kind words!
Just got komplete on the summer sale and I think it was a great deal. Probably gonna wait for summer in 2 or 3 years to upgrade again
That’s what I do. Jorge are every 2-3 years.
Do you know when the summer sale starts and ends?
Sob it ended July 6

I got the Komplete 14 Collectors edition for 956 USD, TOTALLY WORTH IT!
Nice thing is from now on you’ll get the upgrade price of $250 (if you wait for summer sales)

@@ltserge3226 it was May 5th-July 6th
Lovely overview!
Thank you!
missed the summer sale...gonna get it now with the 20 percent off at least, dont wanna wait another year
They do a sale during Black Friday season too

Yea if it ain’t broke don’t fix it! So many good sounds these days. We have more than we need that’s for sure!
@@ZacBarnesMusic Definitely.
Is K14 running fully compatable on an M1 pro running ventura.
Im haveing problems with senoma and might need to downgrade.
I'm on ventura and it's running fine on my M1max
Standard is all you need whether you hobby or professional
I disagree, most of what I use came in the CE edition but I do agree that Standard has a lot for the average user.
Great video!!

The way my bank account is setup 😂 I'll have to update my 13 CE at the next 50% off sale.
It’s every summer so you’ll get it for sure!💪🏽
Shouldn’t you say you’re getting paid by NI?
Why would I say that? I bought this with my own money and I’m not getting paid by them 🤔
a waste of money
