Good to see the progress. I love the wooden doors, they look great! I was thinking that maybe the first concrete path went to a washing line or a shed? It looks like you are having fun discovering all of these hidden paths. Have a great month and Ihope the weather improves for you.
She's coming along nicely, I am budget old shool and I love the white dimple tiles for the laundry walls maybe the toilet walls too maybe? Path to the old chook shed down the back.
Yeah definitely put the floor tiles down first underneath any future cabinetry in the laundry and even put a floor drain in because at some point a washing machine will leak, either from the inlet or drainage hoses. Looking good, would've been nice to have a quick tour of the house again in full just to see how everything is looking.
I agree 100%. Or you have to get a new washing machine. It's like carpet. You put all your furniture on top of it, not carpet around stuff. Looks good. Next vid can you show rest of house too. 😮
Hi Taddy, great to see your house coming along so nicely!! Loved seeing the bandicoot! Amazing to discover concrete paths! The one that just ended may have led to an outside dunny. Yes! The doors look good!
@@QuietLivingOz majority is just me now, just had some help in the initial few months of doing structural and demo work and doing the plastering. The ensuite bathroom fitout was 100% done by me start to finish.
Good job, the doors even sound great, better than our crap hollow ones :) I'm happy you survived the storms, power was off for 7 days here, no shortage of fire wood with all the trees down, all part of living the dream in Tassie eh ? :)
U should put a slim like cupboard in the laundry. The doors look amazing. I think that path in the backyard may have been an outdoor toilet perhaps? The renovation is looking really good. Can’t wait for the finish results and the view that will be something you’ll never get sick of.
G'day mate. Looks bloody good. Its good to have had Mum on the shovel but not much dirt got tilled. It sounds like it will be very nice when its all finished. Well done mate.
Great watching the progress. I wonder if that path went to a clothesline? You'd have to lay tiles first wouldn't you in case you ever replaced the cabinet you'd need the tiles down under it. Lots to do. Enjoy!
I add to all the other comments lol but just wanted to say that if you have a darker floor and white herringbone pattern tiles i think a grout the same colour as the floor tiles would tie it all in. Break up the blinding white and show the detail in the herringbone pattern. If you really wanted to be totally innovative use white grout on the floor tiles. I would totally do it lol. When it comes time for window frames the best way in my opinion is to make the window sill wide enough for a plant pot. When we built our place I was talked over by the architect, builder and my husband and ended up with window edging sloping in towards the window so the ledges are way too narrow to be useable. Last time I listened to popular opinion!
Great progress with all the doors ! @@Therenovatedcottage it is not really near the house or the old wash house so not sure! Somebody else said maybe to an old outhouse which is possibly more likely.
It’s really starting to come together now..if you’re going to get a front loader machine then maybe consider putting in a plynth for it to sit on…makes it so much easier to load and unload…and definitely tile first…IMO…🇦🇺

Oh the joy of sanding plaster.😂 And thrill of the cleanup not. 😅 Tile first cabinet's on top . Don't go to dark on the floor tiles, dark shows every mark and spec of dusk, you'll drive yourself mad trying to keep it looking spotless . Never again !😊
@@ellbow7287 already have the floor tile. I think they won't show too much as they have quite alot of "character" to them with white, and rusty coloured veins but are predominately a dark slate colour, they are a matt finish. Beware of the bandicoot carrying paralysis ticks if you have pets! We had two dogs pick up ticks from one that lived next door. We spent thousands of dollars and saved one of our dogs but it was too late for the other one. Bandicoots can carry thousands of paralysis ticks because they've built up an immunity to them.

House is coming along nicely , I reckon the path went to a hills hoist ? Definitely tile first put vanity etc on top . 👍 Excellent content .
Love the doors. I have kept the varnished skirting boards in my house also, along with the polished wood floors, which ties them altogether.

Hard to say about the path...old clothes line old long-drop or even an old water tank stand , looks like previous owners had garden beds everywhere.
