Because SMART torpedo is not now fully operational. It is just tested. But Varunastro is now in active service in Indian Navy. That is the main reason Smart did not include. Jai Hind🇮🇳🇮🇳

The approximate location would also allow a retaliation and with an air launched torpedo, the sub would have its work cut out for itself. A modern ship would stand a good chance of defeating the hit. A much better option is a supersonic torpedo that finds the ship by pre programmed target with a passive terminal seeker. A ship of 10K tons of steel has a large magnetic distortion. I think that would provide a better chance of not being detected or countered.

I believe the UK should develop the electromagnetically propelled topedoes that can also travel around the world and can be launch from mainland meaning the UK can build many at one time and out shoot it's multiple enemy like a China Russia pack.

Not really. 2008 JTFEX joint training op aka Operation Brimstone. An Italian U212A submarine silently pass the whole US fleet and fakely sunked an US Supercarrier Theodore Roosvelt class, then retrieving again unnoticed by the US fleet.
Now immagine if that wasn't a coalition op and the Italians would have fired some Black Sharks to that Supercarrier.
