I have a new Cupra st. Just to clear up 5.7 seconds is the 2wd hatch.
Car ur In is 4.7 seconds to 60. With abt kit it’s 4.4 seconds.
Also the roof net is one touch u don’t need to hold it.also it’s 350bhp now with abt as the new ones have opf filter which restricts it. In 2018 with that kit they made 370.

2° Camber front/Rear. Wider track do to different ET on the wheels, stiffer suspension, Carbon splitter, sideskirts with carbon inserts, Carbon wing and rear diffuser and different exhaust. performance pack brakes (from Audi TTRS gen1) Thats the exterior changes. Mine have been clocked with GPS 0-62mph in 4.6sec without ABT
I was really impressed with this car and it's encouraging to see ABT being accepted in the UK by SEAT.
When you do your review and try to sell the car it would be nice to know your facts and spec off it.

Some lovely aspects to this ST Cuprra, especially the ABT engine upgrade offer from the manufacturer.
VW should do this for the R.
Not sure there’ll be queues for this car tho, limited edition or not. And as for retaining its value......Seats are not really noted for this.

Yes, hopefully VW and Audi will follow suit regarding ABT in the very near future! I'm not sure Mrs Dave will be very pleased if I turn up with one of these on the speculation they go up in value 😂

0-60 in 5.6 is for the leon cupra fwd hatch,
Standard leon cupra estate is 5.0 as its 4wd.
The abt version is 4.6
I have one since may. Its a hoot! Only problem are the speed cameras.... they seem to have them evrywhere. My wallet smells like salt from the tears

5.6 seconds 0-60 is for the Cupra 300 which is front wheel drive..... The Cupra r st which has the haldex system has been recorded with a 0-60 time of around 4.7 seconds so with the extra 69bhp surely your talking a 0-60 time of around 4.4 seconds.
We took that information directly from SEAT's website.....
In Sweden R ST have a offical 0-62mph in 4.9sec. Mine is clocked with GPS 4.6sec

Stable Lease clearly have no clue on cars 😂. That times for the Fwd Cupra hatch. This does it in less than 5 secs.

I've been enquiring about an ABT remap on a 2016 Cupra 290. Any idea if this effects the official SEAT warranty on existing cars? Can't seem to get a straight answer from the dealer.
If the ABT upgrade isn't standard then this would most likely affect the warranty! However we're not 100% on that!
jgtemperton yes it will. If its is installed by an authorised shop on a new car, then the warranty reduces to 2 years / 100000 km. If your car is past any of those markers you will lose existing warranty.

It isnt a supra leon. It's a leon cupra. If it was a cupra leon it would have the new cupra badge instead of the "S" badge
It's the last Cupra from Seat that's why it still has the S badge. Fourth generation platform due next year will have new logo.

It's nice proposition at £25 to 30k but at 40k nah will loose a shed load in value

@@jryalls I love the way people slate the cupra for loosing loads of value , 290/300 are strong now as they are now recognised as a great car and so much rarer than the golf r and endless amounts of Audis out there .
Abt would do so much better these days if they scrapped the whole "only available as optional at purchase" method of sales, Abt UK wouldn't even entertain me when i wanted to buy the formentor abt sportline package, they just said it's only available from a dealership sale. Also the 0-60 time on that car is around 4.7-4.9, the FWD cupra R is 5.7
