    This is by far the best black pepper sauce recipe on UA-cam. I make this with steak and on another occasion made it as a side sauce for ribs. So amazing!!!! Thank you so so much for sharing!

    Hi there! I was making the School of Wok's recipe of black pepper beef. Didn't have the black pepper sauce they called for in the recipe so I found and made this one. It was excellent and worked perfectly with the recipe. Thumbs up from my daughter as well! Thank you :)

    This recipe is amazing. I ground 30/70 ratio of pink / black peppercorn and the aroma is heavenly! Poured the sauce over smoked chicken thighs. ❤

    Years ago, I had chicken, water chestnuts in black pepper sauce. This sounds right for it.

    OMG, I have been looking for this recipe for years. One of my favorite restaurants in Zhuhai, China had a "Black Pepper Chicken" dish, consisting of boneless skin-on chicken thighs, pan fried with this sauce. It was so good, and this sauce matches it exactly.
    Every other recipe is either an italian black pepper sauce, or just a generic soy based wok sauce with black pepper added.

    I've tried making this yesterday. IT"S SO GOOD!!! it goes well with everything! made chicken steak and beansprout with this sauce.

      Do you think it would go good on burgers? Actually I'm thinking of searing a deboned chicken and putting it in a burger bun with that sauce

    With the soy sauce ketchup and Worcestershire sauce why would you need salt?😮 I'm going to try it though without the salt.

    Has anyone tried this black pepper sauce, with added oyster sauce? I see some other black pepper steak sauce recipes using beef stock and oyster sauce and am torn which recipe to try first.

    Hi everyone. I'm looking for thick black pepper sauce for steak. I had it a few times many years ago at French restaurant in U.S. it was very thick. Almost like a chili. Can't find anything close to it.

    What’s the function of the butter that you put on the last step ? Is it for make it feel greasy and fatty or what ? And is there any substitution for that ? I want to use this recipe on my cafe

      It gives it a buttery umami taste. Restaurants that make this sauce all use butter, you can try using shortening as a substitute.

    Why you use a salt? I think you already to use a 3 tbsp soy sauce

      You may omit if you want it to be low sodium but the recipe is pretty on point

      I haven’t tried any substitutes for the worstershire sauce but maybe try using balsamic vinegar or apple cider vinegar

      You can certainly try! Ketchup has a sweeter taste so maybe if you use tomato sauce, add a tad of sugar.

    My first thought was to use beef stock not chicken..???

      Beef stock works too! You can use any stock you like! If you’re vegan you can even use vegetable stock!

      You can opt to not add salt. It may be the chicken stock you used is high sodium.

      Also at the end I made a mistake on the time, it should be cook on high heat for 10-15 seconds not minutes.
