Today we are going to bury Pex air line underground so I can have an air compressor in one building and have a shop air system in another building. I do live shows in my shop and can't have an air compressor coming on all the time while I'm filming videos.
I used a Ditch Witch to dig the trench necessary to do this job. I used 1 inch pvc pipe to go from one building to another. I show how to fit the pvc pipe together and to fit it to the buildings neatly. We then push the pex line through the pvc and to the other shop. I then install shop air line system into my shop and install some upgrades to my air compressor.

Well done Jake! Air in a shop is a necessity. Having the compressor in another building is REALLY nice to eliminate the noise. Good job.
After having it in another building... there’s no way I would go back to having it in the shop with me.. especially trying to make videos.. 👍👍👍
Jake awesome job on the running of the pipe in the airline my friend. That's a blessing having your air compressor and another building. Where you don't have to hear the noise. Great job love the video. From doug
Thank you Doug.. it’s sooooo nice not having to listen to that thing. 👍👍
I can totally understand that have a blessed weekend my friend
looks like a pretty nice system. I started using the push-to-connect stuff a few years ago and I'll never turn back.
I know right.. so easy and doesn’t leak.. 👍👍
Good job Jake! Dad watched the video and just kept smiling! !!!
😀😀😀
Plenty of good things & upgrades going on here buddy 👍👍👍
Thanks Buddy.. I’ve been needing to do this for years. 👍👍
The quality of your videos continues to improve. Your hard work is paying off.
Thanks John-Boy.. lol FINALY 😂😂
A well done job!
Thanks Buddy
I tried running electricity to my garage up here in Buffalo, NY. Started with a trencher, finished with an excavator, wound up re-landscaping the whole yard. Finished the whole thing, then the wife reminds me we could use water out at the garage too. Nope, just nope.
😂😂😂 Good Stuff
You shoulda ran a big pvc pipe
Making life a little easier, excellent!
I’m trying.. lol Thank you Ray
Great video! I'm looking forward to using your ideas. Thanks!
Awesome, glad you enjoyed!!
That last thing you forgot to do is where the wife and daughter would come into play here. Hey they are always wanting to help so jump in, besides I’ve never found a shovel that fits well in my hands.
Lol it’s rough getting a shovel to work these days.. 😀😀
I ran pipe exactly like that to run electricity to my shed with a permanent outdoor extension cord lol
That’s what I’m talkin bout Connie!!! 😀😀😀
Heck yeah bro. Pure awesomeness 👍🏼💥👊🏻
Thanks Brother!! 👍👍👊
Pretty good. Cheers Jake 👍
Thanks buddy.. 👍👍
How has that pvc been holding up for the past 2 years?
Everything has held up well.. no problems yet
I want to thank you for your reply of encouragement Of my UA-cam channel Period it’s coming along slowly but I am enjoying the journey still. Thank you.
👍👍👍
Another great video, good learnin points, I use the smaller kit in my shop, love the product 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
You know you can just clap your hands and get that trench filled........come on man, that should be a skill share class 😂🤪💪🏼🤪
😂😂😂 Thanks Buddy
Looks good Jake i used rapidair kit in my shop and will use it in my next shop. Very easy to use. One thing I would recommend is running a wire in the conduit to help locate it in the future.
Awesome!! I really like this air line. 👍👍
Awesome job I thought about building a little place outside my shop to due the same thing but also hold my vac system but at the price of lumber right now not sure it would be a good idea 😂
That price of lumber is rediculous right now.. but I’m going to have to take a dive on the resin room.
The trenches should of had a small blade on it dude.just for filling the trench back in.i know you said where you bought those air lines but I missed it.
Amazon.. links to both kits are in the description.
#1 😉🤜💥🤛👍👍👍
Whoo Hooo 👍
sure hope your air dryer works perfectly ....... normally, we would have a drain at the LOWEST point to be able to catch and remove water. I would NOT recommend having an underground line that cannot be drained
Awesome.. let me know when you make a video detailing how you do it… I will definitely watch and leave you a thumbs up.
@@JakeThompson I am doing one right now, but no underground necessary here. If I were tempted to bury the line, I would install an u/g box with a removeable lid for the line to run thru. Make that the lowest point and install a tee + ball valve so you can blow out any accumulated h2o.
Keep on rockin' in the free world!!
Just curious why did you run airline inside of the pipe instead of sealing it and using a larger feed line into the shop?
I did it just I case I needed to replace the line.. I could have just buried the pex line but I want to be able to replace it easily in the future instead of possibly having to dig another trench.
Im sure youll get this question alot but is this basically pex? Do u think pex would work?
It is pex to my understanding.. absolutely works
@@JakeThompson awesome! I never considered it before but seems like the perfect material
