Just going to cargo trailer make your own 4 quarts of the price it be just as good as a Colombian better depending on the hell your workmanship is.. but DIY is the key guys DIY do-it-yourself that's what I say that must cost at least 50 Grand..

Ended up picking one up this weekend. $17.5 with tent, tv, truma fridge and awning. Today's market I would say that's a good price. I don't care to wait 6mo+ to save $1000-2000, was the memories with my small boys I am after. This video really helped me feel confident in my purchase. Thanks again

Looks like its perfect for families with kids. Send them upstairs to the 'fort' and get peace downstairs! I like the sliding roof deck which becomes a patio shade awning, very smart idea. I wonder if we can use that for solar panels so that awnings become additional solar collectors and shade vehicles in the sun. The pull out kitchen is very Australian outback style.

What a great dad. He's exactly right.
MY father was an excellent survivalist, with the best ski training the 82nd Airborne could provide in Leadville, Colorado. I camped at Camp Hale one May on my way to Idaho from Gunnison, Colorado. It got below freezing that night, and I didn't vent my 3-season tent well enough. So I got a taste of the suck, but Dad got a full dose.
So he COULD do it. He KNEW how to keep us warm, dry, etc. But why would he do that when he had a perfectly good, dry and warm HOUSE that he worked all day to provide? To him, taking us camping was like torture. He COULD do it, but he didn't want to work that hard on his day off. "Let me sit in my damn chair and read a damn book. That's MY idea of a fun weekend!" He just wanted to be left alone, so he could re-charge his batteries for another not-fun week of work.
The few occasions he did take us anywhere on trips, he was in a bad mood and made everyone around him miserable. It wouldn't stop until we were around relatives and he pretended to be a good guy, and the rest of us got a break.
This guy in the video thinks the way I do. And I bet he gets real satisfaction from making things (close to) perfect for his family. I ended up not having kids, because I knew I was too much like my father, and didn't want to put myself where I felt low and started taking it out on people around me who couldn't fight back. I'm pretty sure I'm not like that, anyway, but I'm not sure that being childless isn't the reason I had time to genuflect and mature. Having kids makes you grow up really fast in some ways, but it also stops you growing up in other ways. This guy's found the right balance. A true alpha male.

I just purchase the 2021 model in the toy hauler version and the generator is a must have, but a pain to carry around once you get to your destination, a permanent location up front would be very cool. Does he run that while mounted there or does he have to remove it? Think I may be concerned about the vibration and exhaust while running on the rack.

It's a nice layout for a large teardrop style camper but some owners have reported major flaws in the older generation(up to 2019) NO-BO trailers. There are a couple of users on Expedition Portal that report the rear wall cracking at the corners, Interior framing of walls cracking at the welds, walls separating, roofs de-laminating, the AC unit working loose and more. Apparently the frame is only 14ga(barely 1/16") steel so expect it to flex pretty bad off road leading to more body issues.
Not to be a 'Debbie Downer', I honestly hope Lex gets as much enjoyment out of it as possible with few problems, but potential buyers should do exhaustive research and beware of pit falls. There's a very good reason the serious overland trailers out of Aus tend to cost 3x as much(and weigh more).

LOL! Corned Beef Hash! Smells like dog food when you open the can. Never ate the stuff until I was in my 20s on a fishing trip with a friend of mine. He fried it in bacon grease. After it got crisp on one side, he'd flip it over and crack 4 eggs over it, slap a lid on it for a minute or however done you want your eggs. Nothing better for breakfast to warm you up and power you up on a chilly morning.
I don't like the slide-out galley. I think people just like the look of them more than anything else. I wouldn't want to be frying corned-beef hash that close to the trailer, next to an opening that's really hard to access for cleaning. Others have pointed out that it's a good way to get food particles building up in nooks and crannies YOU can't get to, but that the ANTS most definitely WILL.
Besides I like my white-gas Coleman stove. A 1-gallon tin can of the stuff will last for weeks of daily use. Propane is highly overrated as a camp fuel. Big, bulky tanks that run out WAY before the same weight and volume of kerosene, lamp oil, or Coleman fuel (white gas).
Torsion axle's better than nothing, but like the guy said about Forest Service (and county back-) roads, you're going to beat things up pretty good if you don't have good suspension. I don't think Timbrens are necessary, but these Nobo's don't come with the greatest suspension.
But do like the bare-bones toy-hauler capability. Depending on the trip, having a loading ramp for cargo adds value.
I'd rig up a convertible back door, with hinges top and bottom. Pull the pin out of the bottom hinge, and you have a porch with an awning. Pull the pin out of the upper hinge, and you have a ramp for your dirt bikes, an ATV, or a micro snow machine. (I didn't even know they made them, 'til a couple years ago, watching a guy unloading one from the back of his pickup truck. I think he could pick it up all by himself.).

@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures yes, but I was more looking at the smittybilt trailer.. but still pricey for what it is.. thinking I will build my own frame, and then build a box on top, and re-inforce the corners with steel angle iron. and rhinoline/raptor coat the entire thing.

Look at the Intech Flyer trailer. Awesome! Much stronger construction than Forest River.

Is it the same weight, that may be why this one was chosen

@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures it's a little longer and it weighs 3,500lbs so the jeep could still haul easily even up small mountains and rough terrain. Especially if he is having his family join it's a much more comfortable trailer. But when i say $1,000 I mean last years models still never used. If you buy this years new models it is $3-4,000 difference..

      Allison Chau yeah nice
I ended up buying a custom trailer with a beef up frame and suspension
Ended costing me more but oh well
