I listened to B2M for years and I was fired up to hear HF cover this song when I first heard they were doing it. When I saw them live I thought they did it even better than they do in this version. You were speaking of expanding your exposure to and taste in music. Mine has been super wide ranging my whole life. I think they are the reason Rob found that soul deep down inside. Austin is from Tifton, Ga. When he joined Home Free , Tim had to translate what Austin said. They couldn't understand Austin. I laughed so hard I cried. HOME FREE IS THE BEST.

When they won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. It’s so good and Rob was great in the lead. The bass’s part was not allowed to do it as the original. The original band had a falling out with the bass singer. They phased him out. They allowed Home Free to cover this song, but NOT as the original bass singer did. They didn’t want him to get any of the royalties.

Hahahaha….loved your reaction AB. Home Free is so good. I just discovered them last year during the pandemic. All “a cappella” so no instruments and their beatboxer is amazing. They can all sing. When they won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men was a judge and he loved them. I think they wanted to do right by him. It’s so good and Rob was great in the lead. They also love to be silly but even though silly will sound so good. Try Butts Medley, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Helplessly Hoping to hear more great harmonies.

I’m *not* a country music listener at all. I stick to almost exclusively reggae. I freakin LOVE this group. So talented.
The bass’s part was not allowed to do it as the original. The original band had a falling out with the bass singer. They phased him out. They allowed Home Free to cover this song, but NOT as the original bass singer did. They didn’t want him to get any of the royalties.
