Sorry (not sorry) but Enterprise should be one of the best CVs in the damn game. Even with Picard, she still struggles like hell. It takes one hell of a CV captain to make this thing work. It is still a CV at the end of the day, so its possible to still decent with her... it's just harder to lol.
I don’t know why they cant let you have an option between AP and HE bombs. Of course, unless the AP bombs are buffed, everyone will use HE bombs. No worries though, it’s only the most decorated carrier in US history…

It feels weird the fact that they hyped the most famous carrier and how strong it was but maybe they were scared the last minute of release and took out like half the power she was supposed to have.
I guess honestly these ap bombers are meant to counter CV pretty much. The torpedoes is the only source of damage so far. I am getting this piece of history of a legend, even I'm not a CV main, and we get this in that state? It's just sad. Very sad.
You have to build Picard with Engage and the torp HP skill since the Bombs have very niche matchups so most of your damage is coming from your torp planes, my inspirations are Tanaka and Santos and I’ve been cracking consistent 170-200K matches
Tried that commander build already and I would still say the Enterprise is a forgettable ship. Everyone will quickly get bored with her especially with a lot more better carriers to choose from.

It's funny to me WG was fine for the longest time with Ark Royal being completely broken (probably because it was a premium they sold), a ship primarily noteworthy for one thing, crippling Bismarck, and they introduce Enterprise, which was not only technically superior to Ark Royal in almost every way, but practically was the war in the pacific for the first 2 or 3 years in such a mediocre state. Then, predictably, they sell a commander to buff the ship at least a little. I'm thinking if enough people complain about it Enterprise will, eventually, get a buff seeing as how WG loves making carriers/airplanes stronger, naturally. I'm with Ghost on this one, either make all carriers as mediocre or make the Enterprise stand out.
Give it a week and nobody will be using the Enterprise because it's at best mediocre. To many tier 7 and even tier 5 carriers that are much better making the Enterprise forgettable. Shame on WG in making this iconic ship a floating turd.
Shoulda given us rocket planes instead of ap bombs. I bought the campaign the second it came out and regretted it as soon as I saw someone post it. Stick with Lex, Sho or Kaga.
This is what happens when you take a game that initially focused on surface ship combat and try to shoe horn in carriers ( and submarines on PC) into it. They should have created a different game engine that incorporated carriers and submarines from the get go, it would be easier to balance the ships then. Wargaming, you screwed up.
Yup, that is why I also passed on buying this season as well. WG got greedy period. They have been holding off on this ship since the launch of the game, knowing we been asking for it for years, and instead of making it a bureau project they put it behind their paywall. I have the saipan & going for Kaga now I'm not wasting my time on buying out seasons or giving WG anymore of my hard earned money. I've been investing my 💰 into Nintendo products now for over a year. She was the most decorated ship overall of the second World War. Not to mention, she survived the war. It’s honestly criminal that they didn’t save her as a museum ship.
It seems like Enterprise should bomb cruisers and torp BBs. I don't have the ship yet to make fair competition. She has 3 more (weaker) bombs per drop than the Germans. More powerful (and slower) torps. You did great against cruisers. Percival just overpins them. But damage against bbs is a joke. Also, other American CVs take half of a cruiser per HE drop. So what is the reason for Enterprise? Who should be the best becomes the worst. (conspiracy: It looks like russian wg making fun of American Naval History).
The torps are fine… it’s the bombers that need to be buffed. Americans are known for their dive bombers and yet they suck in game on enterprise which makes zero sense in real life enterprise absolutely crippled bitches with her bombs.
I honestly feel like this is the best version of CVs so far, I don’t miss being cross dropped on PC back in the day or perma spotted by fighters. I feel like this is a good version I just think all other CVs need to come down to this level or alternatively give them something to do other then just raw damage, I’d be interested in a CV with reduced raw damage output but increased chances of putting a dot on the enemy ship or planes that could drop a smoke screen etc. just have to find away for it to reward the player for it.
Definitely rather it be underperforming and either get buffed or other CVs get brought to her level, than be overpowered and either A: not get nerfed and stay broken, or B: stay overpowered for a long time

You’re mentioning a history book but the IJN had a cracked carrier fleet, probably was better than ours until we caught got lucky at midway to even the tide. But i get it, Enterprise is definitely not performing to her standards that we would expect her to perform to.

I mean in real life American torpedo bomber sucked dick… it was there bombers that did most the work so I mean it would make sense and it would be interesting. Honestly, though they should just make the torpedoes meh and the bombers really good as it was in real life.
I will tell you what they did,they messed up the AP bombs due to adding a commander with a bomb dispersion radius ,they had to program into game,as we know they messed something up,the corkscrew useless unless you get a friendly ship to just sit beside you,more times than none,the games are over quickly
I find that the planes health is to low they at most can get 1 to 2 strikes out of every run you send out the AP bombers don't do much damage and the torpedoes move to dang slow so it's a weak ship needs a buff

I think asking for nerfs based on your region player base is short shighted, besides they created the solution already, the new commander has anti CV dmg reduction. I think it’s just you need buffs on American CVs , but I did notice that some CVs are meant to be anti CV and there dmg on other ships is pitiful. Might be intentional. 100% plz buff American CVs and improve the bomber dispersion without requiring a commander for it lol .

It's pointless to go for a full AA build on a ship, because even if you manage to shoot down every plane, you still get hit and the carrier has already printed out another squadron that is on its way to clobber you again!

From personal experience in the Shoukaku and in the furious they are not printing planes you need to pre-drop almost every strike just to have enough planes to make it to late game.
