hallo! yes alcoholic beverages are included free of charge, earphones are provided as shown at 10:07, although I would recommend bringing your own headphones if you can as the ones provided obviously aren't great, and a blanket and pillow are provided as shown at 7:12. danke!
very underrated, if they improved their food game they would honestly be with the big 3 in economy for me, they have the world class airport and hard product to back it up and unlike etihad screens on narrowbodies. thanks for watching!
This month I flew with Oman Air for the first time from Frankfurt to Bangkok via Muscat. The legroom is very good but the entertainment was not particularly special, at least with German films, which were difficult to find. The food is monotonous, on 3 out of 4 routes there was only chicken with rice or a vegetarian meal and on one route there was fish instead of chicken. The service was also not particularly special, on 3 out of 4 routes there was only food service, a round of drinks immediately afterwards. Then a drinks service shortly before landing, which on 2 out of 4 flights also included a muffin or small roll. There was nothing set up in the kitchen for self-service but you could ask for snacks and drinks. It is also annoying that you cannot change your paid seat reservation after booking. We had chosen row 45 and later I saw by chance on UA-cam that this row only has a window on the back of the seat in front and could no longer change it. All in all an average flight that will only be repeated if the price is very cheap. In future, I will continue to choose my flights based on aircraft type, as the B787 and B737 seem to have narrower seats than comparable Airbus models (A320, A330/40/50) - that's my impression. Only Airbus or, with Boeing, only B747 or B777.
so I think hard product wise, oman air has it locked down. comfortable seats with ample legroom and a nice looking cabin. their business class is also very good. however, as you said, they really need to up their game with the service/soft product. I agree the entertainment is pretty mediocre compared to the likes of emirates (obviously), qatar, turkish etc, and I’m just going to say it: the food is not good enough. it’s not just the quality but the lack of options, every flight has the same two or three meals: chicken, pasta, and fish. I’ve never seen anything other than those three on my flights with WY. the flight attendants have always been very good in my experience but they just cannot make up for this disappointing level of service provided by the airline. the soft product is absolutely what’s holding WY back from truly being competitive imo, and they need to improve on it for the prices they charge sometimes. thanks for watching and for your thoughts, I appreciate and agree with them completely!
I'm from oman❤
