As a Brit who has visited Oman a few times, its has so much beautiful nature in its deserts, wadis, mountains and canyons an the most friendly/welcoming people you could meet. Crime rate is low to non-existent. You should visit the south near Salalah. amazing beaches, wildlife, swimming with wild dolphins (on you're own at a secluded beach without an extortionate tour company)
I tried Oman airlines business class to Bangkok it was truly the best experience in all my travels around the world, best food, seat and service in air. Oman is an authentic destination and beautiful country that is clean, safe and friendly people. You must go to the city of Salalah in the summer time one of he most beautiful green havens in the Arabian peninsula. So much to see in Oman from sea life to magnificent mountains that were once under water.
I worked years in Oman in Sohar , people are very friendly and still have to works , this in comparison to other ME countries . Nature is also beautiful .
Don't know much about this country. Surprisingly beautiful, love the styles of the houses and the white color. The sea water is so clean. And it is impressive that everybody can speak some English.
Hi Ken! Welcome to Oman. About this question 26:24, Omanis usually drink tea and “Karak tea” in the Morning, while they drink coffee in all the time, not at specific time. They also serve coffee as hospitality to the guests.
Oman is a safe and beautiful country and the people friendly and helpful. Three times visited Oman- love the wadis, beaches, canyon and so the culture.
Oman is chill. I like Oman. It's not like other Middle Eastern countries that try to emulate west with concrete jungles. Indeed, Oman's landscape helps maintain its unique charm. It was a very nice tour.
Oman looks like a peaceful place. And it's nice to know their currency has a higher value than the other popular currencies. Economy must be good. Tks for sharing Ken! 😍

To be honest, l do not know much about Oman so it's truly GREAT to watch this video... interesting, informative and knowledgeable. A huge thanks, Ken for producing such good quality content.
Oman is very high on my travel wish list. While I wish Ken success with the channel, I secretly don't want too many people to find out about Oman. At least not until after I've visited. I feel like it's incredibly underrated, especially in the south in the Salalah area. I visited Dubai with my wife 2 years ago. I wish we would've gone to Oman instead. I have a short list of travel hidden gems that I only share with family and close friends. Oman is on that list.
Thank you for this effort, you are a respectable man, and we have the utmost respect for your post about tourism in the Sultanate of Oman we hope to see you soon God bless you 🌹
Awesome video and captures a pretty good image of the country. Oman has never been on top of my list for visiting but it definitely looks very appealing, specially the place with the quad bike. Just a laid back, safe journey. Also subbed now after watching this and the new China videos!
I recommend that people, before coming to Oman, get to know an Omani person who can welcome them upon arrival, show them around the famous spots, and introduce them to the culture. It won’t cost you much, and you’ll enjoy the experience more. It’ll make everything much nicer since you and that person will be having a great time together throughout the trip. 🥹 I have a brother who loves these kinds of activities, and at the same time, he has an outdoor setup that he can easily use anywhere in nature or on the beaches. ☺️
First of all, welcome to Oman. Thank you for sharing a beautiful video about the Sultanate of Oman and .About skyscrapers Soon skyscrapers will be built in Muscat Al Khuwair town I hope you had a great time in oman

In my experience, the people of Oman and Yemen are among the kindest I have ever met. Their warmth and hospitality beautifully reflect their deep adherence to Islamic values, embodying a true spirit of compassion and generosity. I greatly admire those who follow the teachings of our Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and the people of these nations exemplify his teachings remarkably well.
Thanks Ken for this cool and beautiful trip to Muscat, Oman. The airport is nice, hotel room is awesome and most importantly your mission accomplished...from getting a souvenir, a football jersey (nice one) trying Omani halwa, shawarma and that amazing and fun ATV ride in the sand dunes. Love your travels and videos always !! Great job, Ken.
It's a beautiful city but not in the conventional sense. The people are friendly and honest, the food wonderful and affordable and the roads excellent. Really enjoyed my short stay there
Hi Ken. Judging from the video Oman looks like a beautiful country. Thanks for exposing us to the different parts of the world.Enjoy ur stay n be safe❤
I did a 3 weeks trip in Oman. The most boring place was Muskat actually. You should go to the smaller mountain towns, or in best case, down to Salala. At this time of the year it’s very green down there 🌳 One of my highlights in Oman was a walk (Wanderung) in the Wadi al Shab. Perfect for hiking and swimming with amazing scenery 👌🏻
That turkish restaurant is one of my favorite shawarma places in Muscat and the Indian guy who spoke English is the guy who usually take our order very time
It was a very wonderful video. I enjoyed watching it, impatiently waiting for the next video😍 I am from the Sultanate of Oman and I assure you that you will have a wonderful tour. Welcome, brother Ken🌹
Hello Ken, i truly enjoyed your vlog. Im Omani and definitely biased towards Oman .. but im pretty sure everyone would agree that Oman is truly amazing. We don’t compare to Dubai, they are considered a metropolitan city whereas we maintain our culture and history. Theres much more to do not just in Muscat, you need atleast 10 days. Also, Oman is very popular to Germans as most ‘Europeans’ tourists are actually from Germany. The picture in the currency is His Majesty Sultan Haithem bin Tarik Al Said - our Sultan ❤❤❤❤ who we adore and love Omani Halwa, Shuwa, Mishkak among many dishes are famous, we actually rulled many countires so we learned from their cultures and brought most of them back to Oman (FyI Oman is the only country to ever conquer without bloodshed) Im sure whoever will watch this vlog will know or have enjoyed Oman
What a comfortable and wonderful experience with Oman Air Business Class. It looks great. Wow, I'm going to join you again to explore Muscat, Oman. Let's gooooooo 😂
You can live in Oman as you live in your country and have German friends and work for a sponsor. Those who know Oman do not differentiate between an Omani and a tourist, they treat you like a brother.
I am an Indian who lives in Oman. Oman is a slow but amazing country to be honest. Oman is also a safe country, so I do appreciate your visit to this country, it's really nice 👍
Hi Ken. I was first in Oman 44 years ago. Now my second time in the country, 24 years starting in 1999 up to today! There is so much more to do and see here, you did well to scratch the surface of what is on offer. If you do come back, let me know, and I can give you some pointers, and if free from work, show you around, I live near the airport which is handy. Like many who have visited for the first time, it makes a big impression on them and they return, or like me, stay!
I hope you will also visit the turtle reserve if you are still in Oman and visit Oman again in Salalah in August or September. Autumn starts in early July until the end of the best season in Oman. Welcome to Oman.❤😊
Welcome to the Sultanate. I am Omani and I am not a fan of the constant comparison between Oman and the United Arab Emirates "Dubai" 😅. Each country has its own character, advantages and disadvantages. Praising a country does not mean criticizing another🙏
That taxi driver is not registered at the airport and he cannot operate there, thats why his vehicle was parked at the parking lot. If they catch him operating they will fine him.
I was waiting for the bus to Sur at Muscat airport and literally it was turning into its bay when those unofficial taxi drivers said "there is no bus" 😂 I got my round-trip bus ticket from the office, the man there was impressed how I researched my options, and could speak some Arabic😊 On the way back got off at Bidiyah to go desert camping. Probably the only person to ever arrive to the desert by bus🙃 but can't drive and had no money to throw away as was on a 2 months travel in the region. Quit my good job in Oxford and upped sticks to finally do it. Now back in Oxford and missing Khaleej❤️
I live in the oman village,Oman is one of the countries, the people of this country are so good that their use, language, behavior, always engage in me, their sincerity gets another peace.I ❤️ Oman
Ken, using an unofficial taxi is not just about exposure to high fare risk, it’s about exposure to “risk” in general from using a random unlicensed vehicle/driver in an unfamiliar country. It shows that even a seasoned traveller like yourself can find themselves getting exposed to such risk. Thankfully on this occasion you had a safe outcome. Take care, cheers.
i was also taken aback with the unofficial taxi at the start, was worried for him especially and it came unexpeted esp coming from Oman... my first impressions of the country would have been altered after that. But glad that it ended safely.
Seriously you obviously know nothing about Oman..read the comment from the british member below! Crime is almost nonexistent in Oman..unlike in europe and north america! Get out amd explore the world!

WOW. I had anxiety when you got off of the plane and into the non taxi and the anxiety didn't go away until you got on the ATV. I'm glad you're safe and happy.
I’m currently working in Muscat. And first impression was really good. And omani people are very helpful and sweet. Too❤ I have cane here from India and hoping to explore more
What a nice taste of Oman! Definitely go back and show us more of this fascinating country. The people seem very friendly and easy-going. Do you touch the plane before you board for good luck/safe flight? Will you do a trip to Turkey ( maybe with your father) to explore the Turkish part of your background?
Traditional omani dishes are shuwa which is the national dish of oman and machboos which is similar to bryani. I recommend you try these if you are still in oman.
I love Germany...u shouldn't be ashamed of being German because it wasn't you who created this history..and no one is accountable of something they didn't do... you were born German and no one chooses where they gonna be born in... The most important thing is that you are nice as a person Borders/countries are manmade concepts and how I view it is all land belongs to God .. And thanks for visiting Oman + if it isn't too late I recommend you visit nizwa .. the old capital of oman and the nizwa fort
I like Oman and visit every year. My flight arrives in Muscat Airport at 7.15am and at this time passport control is very busy and has a long queue. You can however pay a fee which allows you to go to the fast track passport desk. I find the passport checking process quite slow. There is a bus service (A1) from the Airport to Muscat which costs half a rial. I think the person on the bank notes when you withdrew cash was the late Sultan Qaboos who was the former Sultan of Oman. Oman is a beautiful country and well worth a visit.

Borders/countries are manmade concepts and how I view it is all land belongs to God
..
And thanks for visiting Oman

10:08 as a Omani,he is the sultan hathim
I like Oman and visit every year. My flight arrives in Muscat Airport at 7.15am and at this time passport control is very busy and has a long queue. You can however pay a fee which allows you to go to the fast track passport desk. I find the passport checking process quite slow.
There is a bus service (A1) from the Airport to Muscat which costs half a rial.
I think the person on the bank notes when you withdrew cash was the late Sultan Qaboos who was the former Sultan of Oman.
Oman is a beautiful country and well worth a visit.
