    I'll be REALLY curious to see what the price is for the base system.
    Something to find out would be if the generator input can be a plug that you plug into the AC outlets that ALL EVs should have(a la Ford Lightning, Rivian, Cybertruck, Silverado)

    All these home batteries are amazing, great tech, great apps, great price.
    The installers are the ones ruining it for everyone. Overcharging ridiculous prices for installs.

    I’m sold on the power wall 3. That said, I am always willing to give Anker a chance as I have their cheap $20 power brick for a phone and it works after 10+ years.
    So, I’m always willing to look at them. But, I have a solar system that generates maybe 28-35kwh a day. I’m hoping this has extra inputs so I can use my current solar system. But also give it a little kick from a constant 1.4-2.4kwh system set up on a shed.
    Anyone chance you know if that is possible?

    Incredible product from Anker Solix. The competition in the residential battery market is heating up, and this looks like it will be one of the best battery options that's out there.

    Home batteries are quickly becoming as standard as a home computer. I give it just a few more years and architects will automatically be designing them into the blueprints.

      At which point, we should also change homes over to a DC system.
      It's such a waste to have SO many appliances and electronics that have individual transformers. There is nothing in my home that requires AC, but tons of things that need DC.

      Yes, with more and more products like this, that offer flexibility, home batteries are quickly becoming just a normal part of a home.

    Am I also an Anker battery because I can discharge from 100% to 0% and not damage myself?

    Ben, I really want your opinion on this... Why do you think home storage systems are more expensive than EVs? For example, why Ecoflow's 90kWh home storage is $10k+ more expensive than F150 Lighting with 98kWh battery and reverse charge capability? How can something that requires way less R&D, raw materials and manpower to assemble, cost more than full EV truck With larger battery? You have more access to this companies so your opinion is valuable on this subject.

    Its cheaper to buy the electric from the grid until the price halfs at least 😮

    How would you determine how many modules you would need to fully power everything in your house in the event of an outage? And how much do these cost? There is no price on their Web page.

    • @BenSullinsOfficial
      @BenSullinsOfficial  3 місяці тому +1

      Price isn't out yet. But to judge how much power you need, you could look at your electric panel and do some math. Or you could get something like a Sense monitor. The thing to consider is how much continuous power you need, not overall how much energy you use.

    Hey Ben, can any of these solutions work with an existing Powerwall system, are is it an all or nothing situation? I'd love to hear if there are any solutions out there that could live with each other rather than being locked into one solution.

    • @BenSullinsOfficial
      @BenSullinsOfficial  4 місяці тому

      It's sort of an all or nothing solution. Once you have a battery it's hard to add a different type unless you have a separate solar panel array and separate electric panel. It's doable, but unless you have a large compound with multiple buildings it's likely not the best option. This is why I love all these modular systems that scale up in small increments. So much innovation here!

    So this vs the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra???? Which wins out

      I'd say they both have their sweet spot depending on your needs. More to come with the EcoFlow Delta Pro Ultra tho!

      The Ecoflow DPU is not able to use rooftop solar that’s grid tied to power home when there’s an outage, if that’s something you care about.

      @@kainoslyfe4260 That would seem to a pretty big oversight on their part

    The ability to use a generator is game-changing for off-grid use. Being self-powered from solar 80-90% of the year is realistic, but to cover the rest (storms and gloomy weather) just isn’t cost effective with batteries or excess solar. A generator can close that gap. A small generator running at full power to charge the batteries once daily maximizes the fuel efficiency of the generator. To my surprise and dismay, Tesla’s Powerwall doesn’t support this!
