I found one in 20 gauge at a pawn shop. It had a little surface rust on the hammer and around the chamber area. The Bore was good and so was the wood. I got it for $75. A minutes rubbing with an oily rag and the rust was gone. Your comments apply to buying any used gun. Thanks for the video.
At that price i would buy all they have if they have good solid lock ups and no serious problems.thecolder guns made out of solid steel and wood are way better than the new ones made of plastic and designed to break after so long. The old stuff was built to last multiple lifetimes
One way to look at it is what are you going to get for $75 that's made to day to the same quality standards as that old Stevens? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. A little elbow grease and with a clean-up you've got one fine servicable shotgun that will last for decades. Not a bad deal at all for less than a C-note! l.
I had an old single barrel that if the hammer was cocked, you couldn't open the breech. With an unloaded gun, practice holding the hammer with your thumb, pulling the trigger back, and letting the hammer down slowly.
They’re proud of those old turds around here they want more for one of those than they do for a brand new Stevens 410…lol. No-brainer by brand new with a warranty and removable chokes.

hell the typical old single barrel where i live is around 140
Great video!
Pretty reliable guns but they do tend to need new ejector springs but besides that they are solid

Is this a safety hammer ? As in, if you don't get the shot once the gun is loaded, can you unload the hammer without triggering ?

My bar tab exceeds that purchase price,
and lasts longer than a bottle of Red Breast 12 year old!!

Have you seen the newer ones they're made out of plastic and they suck. I'd rather have an old-school one made out of solid steel and wood
holy fook... the action is perfect and the stock ain't busted...unless you are taking it to your gay pride parade... what more do you need ?
Yeah the case hardened receiver does have some pretty rainbows in it !!! 😀
Found a 94c frame in the bottom of my inherited gun cabinet. Just the frame, no barrel, no stock.
