Two NS heritage units, & CEFX AC4400CW's at Rosemont - April 21st, 2024

It's been a while since I've been to this crossing, so I figured it's about time I got some action here. Two heritage units! NS 8099 on NS 171, and NS 8098 again, on NS 123! Also, another big surprise. I sure did not see this coming on the Norfolk Southern line! NS has been acquiring used engines from other railroads, such as the ex-BNSF Dash 9's from KCS/CPKC, and more surprising, AC4400CW's from CEFX on the later side up to 2004. One of them is an ex-Central Maine & Quebec unit! I haven't gotten that one yet, but I hope to catch it sometime soon. It seems to pass through a lot on this line. At the time I shot this, the two ex-CEFX units in the video had barely been on the NS system, after having had their patches applied only a week or two before. It feels like 2014-2017 again with these secondhand acquisitions happening.
