Binging Columbo within a full week was a near-suicidal experience, would try again. Also, still severely annoys me that we didn’t get The Warriors over here- so we’re currently stuck with the terrible old release. Yippie.
Ugh, there were _sooo many_ great releases this year, picking favourites out of the lot would be impossible! 😫 Unless of course I just focus on the "most long-awaited" titles... in which case Arrow's fancy 4K sets of Naked Lunch, the Psycho and Ju-On franchises, and Anime Limited's Gunbuster and Nadia boxsets take the cake. Years of longing have finally been rewarded, and it feels great! Here's to lots more in 2024! 📀
I didn't know about that warriors release, I'm gonna have to check that out! The whole movie is about a street gang that was framed for the murder of another gang leader and they need to escape back to their territory. Super 70's exploitation/camp but I love it. The video game is a little long in the tooth but it's also fantastic. Also planning on picking up Weird, glad to see it has some good bonus features. As a life long Weird Al fan I feel compelled to own a physical copy
Wow I bought a lot and I mean a lot of Physical Media last of 2023. I think my tops with no particular order are. 1= Barbie movie, = just because w surprised I was at how much I ended up enjoying it. 2= Tie Chi Master= I not only bought it because it’s a Chinese Film but also it stars my Two Favourite Asian actors and plus it’s really an enjoyable movie even if it has some comedic moments in it. 3= Seed Of Chucky= just because I’ve seen the rest except Seed and Curse, and sorry to say I didn’t really enjoyed Curse all that much. 4= Batman Returns 4K= With Batman Returns being set at Christmas I’m bite of a sucker for that sort of stuff admittedly, not only that but Batman Returns is literally my favourite Batman film out of the original four maybe because of it. And lastly she is my all time favourite Catwoman. 5= Batman Forever also on 4K= Only because I wanted to upgrade the Kiss By A Rose song just because that song is tied to my very first and so far my only Cruse aboard the Oasis Of The Seas 6= Psycho on 4K= Just because I enjoyed that film. 7= The 6 Disc Dracula Movie Collection= Just because of Dracula’s Daughter, as after watching g the clips I really enjoyed it to the point where I wanted to watch the full movie. And I ended enjoying the other films as well. 8= And finally= DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow (Season 2)= As I needed to not only complete the Invasion Crossover, but also every single Arrowveres Crossover. As that is the only o e that I still needed to complete. Just to name a few………..
Not sure if you would know but, does Paramount do disc replacements for other stuff? I got Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning 4K for Christmas and funnily, it came with a Star Trek blu-ray instead instead of the blu-ray for the movie
Even though I got the steelbook for The Warriors I kind of want to get the Arrow stuff. But boy do I need to watch and read through my backlog. I have so much to watch on disc and on streaming. My favourite release is hard to decide, but I did get my first Arrow Video release this year in the Gamera Heisei set….which I admittedly still need to watch. Also a bit of an aside Best Buy getting out of physical media to me is kind of dumb as we are seeing more companies do physical releases, and like with figures we are also seeing the rise in boutique and collector based companies. It helps I’ve been a special or collectors edition buyer for movies almost my whole life.
@@Soundout12 Ya I'm pretty lucky that we have a Sunrise Records store in my closest mall that sells a lot of the boutique companies. Now its also owned by F.Y.E so prices can be a lot

I hope we see more webstores pop up that sell Physical Media and have good customer service, the options for that are dwindling a bit
