40145 on the Scarborough Spa Express at Huncoat, 17th August

40145 worked the Carnforth to Scarborough train as far as York in place of the usual West Coast locomotives. The train was sold out. The 40 came off the train at York and was replaced by a steam locomotive. The 40 would work the train back from York to Carnforth in the evening. The class 40 is seen here heading towards Huncoat Station. You could hear the class 40 long before it came into view and so I have included a part of this at the beginning of the video. I don't normally do this but as it sounded so good I thought I would include it.
