#CountryMusicReaction #BorrowedAngel #MoPitney
Mo Pitneys "Borrowed Angel" is the best version I've ever heard.
This is from a "Country Family Reunion" show. Bill Anderson is the MC, Mike Johnson on the steel, and Jimmy Capps on the guitar, and the rest of the room is filled with the legends of Classic Country.
I've never heard a better voice and more precious personality that comes through his performance of this song.
This song was my introduction to Mo Pitney and remains my favorite. 👍🏽🙏🏻🇺🇸
Mo Pitney has left me speechless!! What a talented young man. Idk why he isn't BIG TIME yet? Not many have this kinda special talent! 10. + That song is so beautiful and this guy sings it better thAn anybody I have ever heard b4.
Agree, best ever version, Mo sings this song better than Mel street .
At age 72 Mo Pitney is my favorite singer. Wish him the very best future. HE ROCKS
Wow....what do you do after this! This young man’s got it all. What feeling in his voice.
@Nancy Russell Right? What a treat to follow Mo's career from such a young age!!
You hit the nail on the head ....... HE'S GONNA FILL THEIR SHOES ..... superstar, no doubt about it.
ua-cam.com/video/S_MGLbWCHM4/v-deo.html
yes he is
Mel Street ...another gifted artist from the hollows and hills of Southwestern Virginia , Eastern Kentucky And Southern West Virginia. Mo Pitney is definitely someone with the ability to carry the torch for traditional country music.
I've loved Mo Pitney since the first time I heard him. Thanks for showcasing him !!!!
CAN’T GET ENOUGH OF THIS VOICE!
Me either...He is a great singer. Have you heard any of his gospel songs? If he puts as much feeling in them as he does this song and I am sure he does, it has to be some great songs......This guy has got it going on and like some of the others said he is cute as a puppy too. I am glad his wife is singing with him at times and supports him in his music...You GO, Mo!
Revive real country music! If todays country acts would sing one country song from the past, in their shows it would be wonderful. It would be a good start for music, that's been pushed to the wayside.
@@marilou24557 f
Every thing he sings is awesome. He can do any of the old songs. I have danced to this song many times.
The first time i heard him sing, i think was 4 years ago. I had to stop what i was doing and just listen. What a voice and character.
Mo Is Country , Thank God !
Thanks for keeping it Country Mo! You're awesome!
Just love Mo Pitney that voice is the best today in country
Beautiful cover of Mel's song! Big respect, Mo!
RIP Mel ☮️💖🙏
I like Mo! His character is adorable and with that syrupy voice I'm sure he'll be getting more radio play! Well deserved rating!
Thanks, Christine---glad you liked the rating and glad you used the word "syrupy," since that one would NEVER have dawned on me!!
Country radio today sucks. More rap, hiphop, pop stuff is being played while they ignore talents like Mo.
@@markynsaibasandarsondiengd2298 you are so right.
Amazing voice, love to hear him sing!!
You're right, he could fill their shoes! He has an awesome voice and seems to have a great personality.
He is getting a good start, at filling their shoes and I hope more acts will get on the bandwagon, to help revive this music.
He has Real COUNTRY in his soul!
@cindie grimm Amen!! And welcome to the channel!!
He's better than a lot of male artists. What voice control!
When a country song comes on the radio I sometimes joke to my wife, "It's funny how the same guy sings ALL the country songs. There he is again!" (even though it's a different singer each time). Not so with Mo Pitney; his voice is his own and it's GOLDEN. And those little vocal runs at the end? Amazing.
He certainly does a fantastic job on this. Mo is the best artist that has come around in years! He is traditional country and not the trash that is out there now.
A real old-timey country voice. Love it!
Great song , good rate, this kid does the song justice. This is country!
Amen, sista!! And always good seeing you around here, Bleu---I hope things are going well for you these days and that everyone's treating you well.
I think Mo is GREAT!
I found Mo Pitney a few months ago. My reaction was the same as yours! I adore him! ❤ Since you liked this you will also like his version of “the note”. I can’t stop listening to it! Oh I found your UA-cam this evening! Lol cheers!
Mo Pitney is amazing ...perfect old country voice and so glad he’s loves old country. Mo , his sister Holy and then Ben Haggard...love the all..
Beautiful voice from a wonderful person. He sings country oldies, but goodies. We need more singers and songs like this to educate this generation, what real country music was like from days gone by. Mo is filling there shoes there shoes, but he can't do it alone. One of the most influential singers, from the past was Marty Robbins and I hope his music will be revived. These country acts today aren't interested in old country, but if not for old country todays acts wouldn't make it.
Beautiful video, thank you so much.
@Margo Mason I'm glad you liked it, and you're welcome!!
I've been listening to Mo on a number of sites, and I've left this or a similar comment on several of them. He sings the classics so beautifully, but what makes him great is his natural vibrato, gorgeous tone, and a way of bending the notes that make the songs his own without changing the original melody. That's not easy to do.
The best young singer on the country scene the real deal. I listen to this version all the time real country music.
Mo gives us hope for country music.
What a song ! He has the country voice. So true to life.
The sound of the steel guitar mixed with Mo's voice is so pure. Thats what Country is about..His voice reminds me of old country music.
OMG! I would love to hear mo, sing old gospel songs. Wonderful is all i can think of!
I would love to sit in on a taping of this show and just listen to the stories this room full of legendary singers tell.
This boy can sing . He is one of my favorites and wish he would do more. Yes he can sang.
Amazing country voice ! I love him he’s awesome
Mo Pitney is great in so many ways .... the voice is stellar and the personality is winning!
How I love Mo! Oh my what a beautiful song and this guy is going to be even more popular as people get to know him.Classic voice of country! He’s fun and funny! What a young talent!
WOW!!! He’s amazing 👏🏻🌟🎤❤️‼️. Great reaction 👍🏻😊❤️‼️
Love this kid......he’s got to keep going.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
That was just SO fantastic! Mel Street was a GIANT, and Mo's version was, as hard as it is to believe, even better. I'm a FAN!!! Gotta love Mo...good lookin' boy, too! (Just admirin', not desirin'.. ) Hope he has all the success he can HANDLE. GO, MO!
I don't have one complaint, this was perfect. Mo has a beautiful voice and I hope he keeps singing the way he is.
he's got that keith whitley quality
I went looking through your library for more Mo because of the “who’s gonna fill their shoes” reaction. I haven’t heard the original, but this cover is more than good enough to go on my personal country playlist. Great reaction as well, keep following Mo!
Mo deserves much success..,what a voice! True, real country!
Listening 3 years later, just as great.

@@mo_malc4351 No I haven't seen that but will have a look for it now thanks.
I did like his tribute to Ray Price too though when performing Don't You Ever Get Tired Of Hurting Me.
@@amazed66 So sorry I realised It's only showing on M/P county page F/B but you can see Mo at station Inn Nashville tribute also martin Methodist college Palaski I'm trying to redeem myself here lol.
amazed, I just saw this post so please forgive me for not responding sooner!! That was a great bit of info you provided, and you know your stuff. Wow, I'm blown away at all that. Thanks for posting!
@@RockN2Country No problem Don as I'm sure your channel and the requests are keeping you busy and once I had posted, it was there for you and anyone else to see as and when you found it.
All the best from Sean in London, UK at almost 4 o'clock in the morning lol.
Mo Pitney is something else. Give him time. Be yourself Mo, you'l see.......
This artist is amazing. Love this song so much.
i love this track and certainly this version and it has been on my playlist for quiet some time..
I love Mo Pitney. This is my favorite song of all time. I love his voice. Great rating for him also.
Mo usually sings a song like he is living it. That's cool!
This is taken from the TV show Country Family Reunion. Their UA-cam page has many other videos that are primarily classic country performers and songs but they do include some of the more traditional current artists. Episodes currently air on the RFD-TV station and the same country that makes that show also makes Larry's Country Diner which does a similar thing but in a different setting with 1 artist per episode instead of this show where there is a whole group gathered. Mo was born in 1993 just outside of Rockford, IL so this would have been from roughly 2015 depending on his birthday. His closest song to a hit (if you are looking for a 2nd song of his to do) is called Country. Unfortunately, he is considered too country to be played on country radio since all they want are pop-country or country-rap songs.
Good stuff, TNF999!! Great info right there, so thanks for posting it here for everyone to read. Love this kind of background info on shows like that.
Yes, the song, the song, the song••
But it's the singer who 'sells' the song, so I say: MO PITNEY, a young man who brought this song back to life on this
stage and reminds us what a great country singer sounds like!
Now THAT's 'my' reaction. Thanks.
This kid is amazing and so talented..
YES!.Thank you Rockin.
I've been waiting on this.Thank you so much!!!
Mo has a gift.
My pleasure, and I'm so glad you recommended it to me!!
Good choice! Love anything MO.
Mo is the next merle haggard you should listen to "I met merle haggard today"he wrote that's song to or farmer daughter you can't go wrong with him.
I've heard Mo live a couple of times and he is awesome. I was raised with the original old country and yes I agree more would be the one to fill their shoes !!!!! Keep the original country sound alive!!!!!
@A W What a treat for you to have seen him a couple of times! I'm going to see Colter Wall this Wednesday and am totally looking forward to it. He's another one who could fill their shoes, or at least their flip flops. Ha!
Linda Davis's reaction to Mo singing was priceless!
I agree! Love Mo!!!
Mike Johnson has to be one of, if not THE BEST, peddle steel guitar players out there. Mo Pitney will be a huge star any minute now.
He is a very good traditional country music singer.
What a voice he has!! I'd love if he came to New Orleans!!
First heard of Mo a few years back when his debut single "Country" got some radio play. I remember reading that his whole family were country/bluegrass musicians. Don't know for sure but usually when someone's accent is different than the locals, its because of the way their parents speak. Don, when you mentioned Miranda "capturing a sliver of life and blowing it wide open"...I couldn't help but think of her throwing a salad in some ladies lap she was arguing with a few days ago. That lady definitely caught a few slivers of something!! "Don't Mess with Texas" (gals)!
David Emswiler please check The Harmans B/Grass sessions with Mo his Dad And brother theres a few like still loves this Man/salt creek....( back to the bar room again)
@@mo_malc4351 Thanks mo, I will check it out!
That Song Means alot to Some people who have experienced that Song. It does For Me .its 4 years of My Life and if she would pop Back In my life I would welcome Her Back Again .
Mel Street was great, and Mo did him justice there
I never tire of listening to this video, Moe is Awesome. I've watched this over and over.
I found him.last night and loved listening to him, you talk about melody, hes got it! I love his voice with this song.

Now that is beautiful.. Borrowed Angel. Mo Pitney Aug. 21, 2023
I get lost sonewhere in time listening to Mo Pitney; what a great country singer!
I'm so glad that you did this, I love Mo Pitney!
Mo has a lot of great music, and this was a good intro to him and a great reaction on your part as always. I'm always super busy with work but I enjoy binge watching some of your videos whenever I have the time. Keep up the great reactions!
Mo is one of the new up and coming artists, that's keeping country - well country. His hit working with Bill Anderson - Country is brilliant. Moe Bandy, Bill Anderson, Jenny Sealey, Roy Clark, Ray Price, Jim Ed Brown, Joe Diffie, Gene Watson. The Gray-haired guitar player just passed away, as well as Roy Clark, Jim Ed brown.
This is hilarious. I literally just copied the link of this performance to post in the comments of a Mo Pitney reaction video you posted - then it followed on autoplay.
Great minds.
This kid is very likable and seems capable of carrying on "real country".
That room is full of country legends some of who is not with us any longer

His voice is such that can tug at ones soul and cause tears to run because he sings it sooo very smooth.
Always love to hear Mo sing this
Lov, Lov, Lov this kid , He is One of the Best I’ve heard in a Long time, Best of Luck Mo.
Hi Rock2Country, I love your videos, your commentary is always spot on.
You have reviewed some of my favorite country singers and you tell it as it is. Great reviews. Seldom have country music played on radio stations in Australia so have to find it online or UA-cam. I'm living in Western Australia's Southwest country town which is mainly cattle farming (cattle ranching). Have a great day.🎸🎸🎻🎻
Love me some Mo Pitney!
Amen, Teresa!!
He is a great guy and he singer ❤️🙏❤️ love watching his videos and song and music watching and him and his wife singer 💕❤️🙏❤️ Lena from Jellico Tennessee God bless y
be. safe travels out there my friend 💓💓💓💓 💞💓💓 God bless you
Wow! Tony Booth in the crowd!!! And The Whites! Moe Bandy, John Conley, Jeannie Seely, Jan Howard, Rhonda Vincent, Jim Ed Brown, Darrell McCall. Fantastic steel guitar Mike Johnson. Violin: Hank Sanger. Guitar: Jimmy Capps. Back up singers: Duane Allen's wife and daughter. Another song from this tv program was Daryle Singletary singing "Set 'Em Up Joe" is truly amazing.
@Sally Bedow Great stuff and incredible knowledge you've got, and welcome aboard the channel!!
Heard him 1st time loved his music in Columbia,Tn on Nov.9th2023 great concert thank you Mo!
I seen Roy Clark,TG Shepard,Bill Anderson and many more.
I scanned through a lot of the comments and didn't see anyone say this, but If I'm repeating someone else's comment then I'm sorry. This TV show is hosted by (whispering) Bill Anderson , and is call Country Family Reunion. I believe it is aired (in reruns) on CMT Friday nights at 8:00 or 9:00. There are many older artists who perform, and sometimes younger artists like Mo Pitney . Mo was born in 1993 so he is still only 26, which makes the TV show episode about 4 years old .
Who are these people you ask? That’s a collection of all hall of famers of country music, the best of the best.
Love to listen to Mo He has such a beautiful voice. Great reaction Love your chanel
Saw Mo at The Boxcar Festival in Bakersfield. He's my new favorite country singer. He seems like a very nice Christian man. Hope he keeps the faith.
May I request “just a dog” by mo Pitney. He actually wrote that one and it’ll bring a tear to your eye..
Yes it does!
I love his voice so much, that I downloaded one of his albums from Amazon.
