Awesome... We'd love a black cherry, but don't want to wait for one to mature. I'm not sure we have the room for one anyway. I hope it grows well... our cucamellon is still in hiding. :/ Thanks for watching and commenting!

Cool idea! I am kind of participating, I have a volunteer pumpkin that must have come from a jackolantern (that a deer ate half of) and I watch it like crazy! It’s in prime watching area and even though in central TX I doubt it’ll do much, I’m still enjoying it.

It might do okay in Texas if you can keep it watered enough and the bugs don't get it. We hope it makes it for you! Thanks for checking us out!

Nice video. I follow Scott as well. This year was my first single seed challenge. I've been going around looking up what other folks did while trying to figure out what I want to do for 2022. I'm excited to see you chose the gherkin! Will you grow it again? Have you decided for 2022?

Thanks! The gherkins were weird... the specific seed we planted for this didn't make it (someone may have thought it was a weed at some point), but we did grow some more. They are still susceptible to pickle worms and the time between "ready to eat" and "tough and bitter" is REALLY short. You have to pick them at just the right time and it's really hard to tell. Also, they were a LOT smaller than I was expecting, but that could have just been our conditions this year. We may try something a little different this year... we still have time! :)
