  • In this video we take a closer look at a Toyota Prius!
    Toyota Prius Gas MPG: The 2015 Prius hybrid is a great option if you’re shopping for a used compact car. The Prius rates highly for reliability and crash safety, it’s bristling with easy-to-use tech features, and it has a roomy cabin that is well-suited for hauling passengers and cargo. True to its reputation, the Prius also yields fantastic fuel economy: up to 50 mpg in the city.

    I've never set out to ever own a Prius and have gotten angry if I get stuck behind a slow one on the freeway but I recently bought one for the fuel economy and as a stopover before I buy a Tesla down the line but I never imagined I'd actually really love the Prius. The range is fantastic and it really opens new areas for me. It has climate control and I can camp in it. It even has me reconsidering ever getting a Tesla at all or at least push a purchase of one even further away than I originally planned. I'd probably switch over to a Tesla faster if they come out with solid state batteries with 600+ mile range and 15-20 minute charge times. Until then, my Prius is great for all my needs.

    I am a december 2012 prius owner. I have the car 5 and a half year. 205,000 km on the clock. Never had any problems or repair coats . Just the normal yearly maintenance. The Prius Never let me down. Our best family car we ever had. And o think it looks fine. It’s Luxury. And my consumption is 4,2L per 100 km

    I have a 2016 basic Prius. Toyota made a lot of changes in this model year, both in the engine, the dash, and the interior. When I asked, the Toyota dealer told me that if I am only getting (what a term, eh? "ONLY") 50 mpg, something is wrong. My car's lifetime average is 59.4 and I get between 65-73 mpg consistently. I know those numbers will go down with age (it has about 78K now) but I am never going to own another make than this.

    Just remember guys they are expensive to maintain, hybrid battery is not cheap and the break booster is not cheap either. Plus prius are awful for the snowy weather plus they are quite heavy.
    With that being said I would still buy them as they are very reliable vehicles when looked after. (I am a taxi driver I can vouch for it)

  • @racingdreamz8021
    @racingdreamz8021 3 роки тому +5

    They are absolutely amazing, Beware of the high mileage ones more work to maintain, Have to remove complete egr system to clean carbon out, The head gasket has problems at 180k+ miles "I fixed mine with a $75 bottle of steel STEAL SEAL gasket repair" I purchased that from amazon, and have to add an Oil Catch Can to stop the carbon buildup issues .

    As a 2012 prius owner, sure the car is great, but I can guarantee that you aren't getting anywhere close to 500 miles on a single tank, and definitely not 600! lol. Per tank, you are looking more at between roughly 300 to 400 depending on driving climate and driving style. The prius is a good car, but you're trying to hype it up just a little to much to the point where it's just unrealistic.

    • @imahmud
      @imahmud 6 місяців тому

      I am getting just over 300 miles per tank. My dash is showing 43mpg (uk). And I am driving as economically as possible most of the time.
      Prior to this car, I had a Kia Niro and I was getting close to 500 miles per tank. No exexaggerated

    I get around 44-50 mpg with mine but I really step on it,this car is really fast on power mode,❤❤❤❤❤❤ love it! I own a 2011,more roomy and a great car to own and drive. I really don’t see the point to own a Tesla now and pay twice for fuel and the price of the car plus more for insurance and to wait to charge the car every time I just couldn’t do it. Based on what I read Prius is beating Tesla big time as Tesla is failing with many things around 250-300k miles. Tesla needs to increase the miles per charge and definitely lower the price and improve it,still new as a concept. Will see if I will own an electric vehicle in this lifetime?
