Just a comment from Bob here... I just got a new 2018 Prius Prime Advanced....holy crap. They have got the Prius right now! Everything is so...advanced. just took the first trip in it . Mixed interstate and hilly 2 laners -plus in town. 278 miles total...average MPG? 72.9! What a fantastic piece of machinery. You could sit there all day at 75 mph and still get in the upper 50's MPG. In electric is more powerful and super agile. Turning radius is tiny. Snag these while there is still a fed tax credit. I'm sure we will all be upgrading to Coal fired cars soon, but for now - enjoy the future with a Prime!
Bob Nagy Sad you elect to drive at 75 mph. I use 65 mph for better mpg on any car with very little time difference. May I suggest you do keep records and see the benefits? Thanks
I have toyouta prius 2013 when i driving on Eco Modation its very selow looks like doesn't get the power but when turn off the Eco its okay i don't know the car has a problem or not what about if i drive without Eco is it use more fuel
Driving 53 miles on a high way you are asking for someone to rear end you..... fuel prices are below $3 seriously. Whats the point of driving on the high way. Save on tools drive local roads. You can drive 50 mph legally and will bother no one.
With regard to optimal braking: It's worth noting that, the higher the speed you're going when you start braking, the less you can depress the brake pedal to fully fill the CHG indicator. What this means: The battery can only "suck" at a certain rate... when you're going faster, the M/G makes more power since it's spinning faster so be mindful of your pedal depression. As you slow down, you can start to push further and further down on the brake pedal to "use up" more of that available regen, without going into disc. This is the best way to capture the available energy and get as much of it back into the battery as you can.
Thanks for this video Bob. Especially enjoy the tempo of your video and the calmness in your voice. Too many people in this world rush through their days in anger and haste. I am finding more and more that hypermilers in particular (not just prius drivers) fall into a category of people who are actually really mellow, smart, and neat people.
Thanks. Well, there is lots to be stressed about these days. My other car is a Nissan Leaf that is charged fully from solar panels. (150+mpge). It is all about efficiency vs waste. If you waste resources, you not only have to work a lot more to pay for things you throw away, but you endanger the country from forcing it to bankrupt itself trying to stabilize oil rich regions. The transition from hunter-gatherers of energy to farmers of a permanent supply MUST happen. We are already late. I teach regular folks to install solar power systems - because that's how I can help.
The A/C on this car in inteligent, use it in auto mode and select the temperture you want. The computer will make the A/C work with the less power use posible.
Yea, even here in Arizona summer it seems to find the sweet spot. Starting really aggressive but once it gets near the ideal temperature it drops down to barely doing anything and just keeps it there.
A/C is like engine. It uses much energy to get where you want it, but is minimal once there, if the desired point isn't demanding. Maximum A/C is fully demanding, whereas setting temperature above 70 isn't. Going above 65+ mph is demanding and inefficient. Going below is less demanding.
you all prolly dont give a damn but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot my login password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
@Noe Ahmed I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process atm. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Awesome video, this sums up everything you need to know. Wish i found this a week ago. I had to learn it all on my own. I'm a racer but enjoy all different driving styles. Since i got a Prius i've enjoyed "maximum mpg driving." Never thought i could have so much fun trying to consistently get +70 mpg. I'm actually going to do some modifications to get even better mileage. Soon i'll find out how that works. =)
Thanks for the info. We bought an '05 Prius new and it's amazing. Best consistent mileage has been 58 mpg. That was highway. IMHO, by far the most important variable is tire pressure. The small tires seem to be very temp sensitive. Pressure will go down as the weather gets cooler. A small drop in pressure greatly reduces mpg. We found this out over time. I don't exceed the door jamb pressure, but keep your eye that it doesn't drop by more than 2 lbs. Your mileage will be fantastic.
Thank you for sharing this video! Its like taking a Prius drivers ed course. I had to watch it three times and take notes but man was it worth it! I'm now getting an avg of 62 mpg city and 57 hwy in my 2015 Prius C3 without feeling like I'm over thinking. Thank you from the bottom of my wallet!
Great tips! I just bought a '13 model and the dealer didn't explain these things to me. I'm still reading the owners manual and did see the part about stepping on the accelerator and letting it up and lightly stepping on it again for better mileage but your video explained it very well. Thanks!
George Palmer I remember John Rambo in first blood when he was talking to colonel troutman saying when he got back from nam he was going to Cruze til the tyres fell off , I just thought I would chuck that one out there
Thanks Bob! Great info and teaching. I liked the words printed on the screen to so I could pause and reread through the info if it went by too quick for me. Cheers!
Just bought a used 2010 Prius, and I haven't loved a car this much since I bought my Mustang GT new back in 02. My priorities have changed for sure, and this overview of the Prius' modes and charging methods is greatly appreciated. THANK YOU.
just bought a 2013 prius and am very happy and excited to challenge myself to meet some of these great standards you have outlined. thanks for the great video!
Very informative and well made video. I just bought a 2015 Prius III yesterday and will be using these techniques. Thank you for potentially saving me money!!!
I get 46mpg out of my Gen II 2009 Prius. It has 270033 on it. Battery pack changed at around 180K. No real mechanical issues with this Prius. We now have a 2013 and a 2012 V. Not going back.
Thank you so much for making this video. I recently got a 2015 Prius and using the techniques described I was able to get 64 mpg using only 7.8 gallons of gas. Great video.
Thanks guys! I do Solar instructional videos and thought I'd just do a quickie on exactly how to get 60mpg on a Prius. I'm racking up the miles fast.. 30K in 1.5 years.. but it is such a great highway cruiser. I suggest a little piece of 1" foam as a lumbar support on the seat. I sewed one up with a cloth cover. Shell is the best gas, but it is pure Saudi Oil. Original tires are fine.. wearing normally. Oh, with the lights on, the display is low..roll the brightness control to the top and push.
Awesome video, Thanks!. I pretty much put in practice these techniques and they really work. I t took me a while to learn how to drive a Hybrid vehicle, but now I'm a believer.
Thank you thank you. I just bought my 2011 prius and have no idea how to work it at all. So this helped out alot. First time I ever own a prius. My dad has a toyota rav 4. And mom has a Kia so we are very unfamiliar with it. The first person was my grandmother who has one. So thanks again
I practice most of these techniques in my 2012 model 2 with 100,000+ miles, and I regularly get 52+ mpg. If I really try I can get 67 mpg on some trips. The best I have ever done was 82 mpg for a 12 mile trip at mostly 25 mph. With a bike rack and bike on the back at 62 mph on the interstate I only got 47 mpg, that is the worst I have done.
the worst i've done was pulling a tiny uhaul trailer up a snowy mountain with maybe 500 lbs in the car and 600 lbs in the trailer. i'm pretty sure i had no bars on the mpg.
Thank you. This is the first video that helped. The owners manual is worthless, as well as the other videos. The truck was having vehicle in MPH to start.
@GoMetricToday - Fantastic! See, you really do get about 20% more mpg. It is a totally different driving technique. I've also found that wind speed and direction has a large effect as well. Nothing we can do about that! Remember, you'll drop about 8-10mpg in the winter because of the gas being thinner, the car heater keeping the gas motor on and the battery efficiency going down... plus road friction increases from rain and snow. Glad I could help!
Thank you!! My '01's hybrid battery just bit the dust and we're considering getting a Prius V (2014, 3rd gen Prius model), and this is the best video I've seen so far providing a tutorial on how to drive the 3rd gen similar to what has become second nature to me in my 1st gen. I live in Seattle but am from Michigan, so I also really appreciated the obvious midwest fall/winter setting you recorded in. :)
Glad I found your Video helps on driving your Prius. I have a 2016 "C". I have been trying technics to help Improve my mileage. I live in an area that is mixed hills, mountains and flat areas. Summer gas averages 58 to 61 mpg at fill up. My best fill up was 66.6 mpg! Longest distance traveled was 510 miles on 8.5 gallons of gas! I hope with your suggestions that I will improve on my mileage! Thanks!
Very good basic introduction to economic driving. That being said, the heating part is debatable. The car's climate control actually controls the fans and hot/cold mix in almost exactly the same way as Bob is doing manually, and once the desired temperature is reached it uses the minimum amount of energy needed to maintain the desired temperature. What Bob is doing will only save the energy needed to run the fan at minimum speed between "bursts". This is a very insignificant amount of energy saved compared to the inconvenience of doing this manually and having 5-degree temperature swings constantly. Also, If you live in an arctic climate you have to run the heater to prevent the windows from fogging
I did not read all of the 254 comments, but one thing I have found with the Prius that diminishes fuel mileage is when the car is first started in the winter. The gasoline side of the engine runs longer to get the engine up to a temperature to furnish heat to the cabin. This has been a cold winter in the East, often with temps in the 30's and below, so cabin heat has to be run more than in a normal winter. I, normally, get 55-57 mpg but this winter I have averaged 49-52. On some very cold days I have noticed that my average is down to about 47-49. All of the tips that you gave I use and on my regular daily routes. I know all of the places for drifting, pulsing and electrical engine only useage. One tip that may help is that under normal conditions, the pull away from a dead stop will be all electrical up to about 17 mph. If you pulse at that point, the electrical engine will continue up to about 34 mph. I do that a lot and then catch back up on the electrical charging when braking or at speeds that the gasoline engine returns. I have standard tires and try to keep 38 lbs of pressure. It makes for a little bumpier ride but I have found it increases the mileage by about 2 mpg in my 2010 Prius with 84K miles.
I used all of the techniques that you espouse and even with 7 years on the battery (2010 Prius) I was getting about 55 in the summer and 48 in the winter. Just bought a new 2017 Prius 2 eco. I made them fill the tires to 38lbs before I would drive it off the lot. It's much easier to do high mileing with the 2017. The battery is the new lithium Ion battery much lighter than it predecessor with more punch. I can actually pull a smaller hill in ev mode. It had much more power than the 2010. Then I can drift down the hill and charge the battery at the same time. I am averaging about 68.5 mpg, verified at the pump 3 times in the last month. This is a mix between city and country driving. I expect to get 75 on a real trip of say 200 miles. By the way my mechanic says that using 38 lbs of air pressure should give you 28+ extra miles per tank.
Great video Bob. You can upgrade your battery and get more electric driving with an upgrade kit. Also with a bumper plug you can add a small heater to warm it up before you drive, make it nice and toasty, melts the ice off. Here's a video explaining why a battery upgrade is useful: 40km Plug in conversion
Great, in my day I had a 283 1967 Malibu. Standard three speed manual transmission but it got over 20 miles per gallon which was good in those years for a V-8.
Very informative! I thought I'd read everything around about how to get even better mpg with the Prius, but I learned some new tips here. Thanks for taking the time to share these tips!!
Good video. Some things I do with my Prius is when I'm coming to a highway ramp exit that's about 1/2-1/4 mile away, shift into neutral until the exit ramp to allow the Prius to roll free. On highways, use the cruise control. On city streets, if there is a slow driver, use that slow driver for the car and use the electric since you won't need the gas engine.
I am glad you are so understanding about what I said, because I'm sure others have no idea how that math would work. What type of motorized bicycle do you drive?
Some people are so thick! I driven 90% of cars on this planet coz I'm a vehicle inspector. For those who say these cars are rubbish are realy thick. What a lot of people don't know that when a normal petrol or diesel car is stuck on traffic or so the there car is always running constantly so that's burning gas constantly. You see people don't take that into account where the Prius is always switching of the petrol motor off but doesn't reflect on the mpg you save.
Yup...grid-locked traffic is where Prius owners are smiling... car stays in electric... motor off... A/C is on...and about every 20 minutes, the motor comes on automatically to top-off the battery and then shuts off again. Bliss.
I just did that the other day. There was an accident up ahead and I was stuck in traffic for about 20 minutes, inching forward just enough to keep my display from show 0 mpg on any of the one-minute segments. So I got 12 full bars in a row before the battery ran down and the engine started!
That is absolutely right. It is the only way hybrids gain on mileage. Conventional gas powered cars which switch the engine off when stopped, like the VW Blue Motion range, actually match hybrids for gas mileage. The other assets of hybrids, like regenerative braking only compensate for the extra weight of a hybrid.
Another tip: When driving under about 40mph, instead of using the A/C, turn it off and open the windows. However, when driving at highway speed, open windows will create more drag and decrease mileage more than using the A/C, so close the windows and use the A/C.
We have a 2007 Prius but I just got a 2013 and was looking for advice on when I should use the various driving modes. I'd already discovered a lot of the other techniques on this video by noting the MPG gauge, but I definitely appreciate confirmation that I'm doing it right and am grateful to you for explaining when I should be using Eco mode. I've been getting pretty good mileage so far (first real week of driving it) but I'll try Eco mode on the highway tomorrow and see how that does. Thanks!
One of the things I do in my Prius, mainly to save the brakes, is when I know I have to slow down ahead is shift into B Mode. I am surprised you never mentioned that in your video. It allows you to slow down a bit faster without touching the brakes until you have to.
that was terrific Bob Thx for the lesson . Are you related to John Nagy the artist from long ago who taught drawing ... I had his kit from back in the early 60's !
I like your informative video and I learned few new things . One thing you should add to the video is about not impeding traffic. On my way to work I see many Priuses blocking the whole highway driving 50mph on the left lane.
Correct but you don't have to stare at the display. I stopped doing that when the novelty wore off. I was nervous about buying my first Prius, an old one, then I just bought a younger one. They're very reliable and relaxing to drive. When I arrive at my destination in 'drive' I just press the start/stop button and get out. It a auto selects 'P' .
@@capacityplus I found out I can drive up to about 63-64 mph and still get over 55 mpg even when driving in power mode and accelerating quickly, especially when the temps are higher. I had a 2010 and a 2016, which I averaged 62.5 mpg over a full year and about 44k miles with the same driving habits as the last. So with that kind of gas mileage, I had no problem driving 70 mph or so when needed because it's usually only a few minutes at a time and doesn't tank the gas mileage.
Thanks for your insightful comments "Bashingyourshit" . I wish you could have posted more helpful observations, but I'll bet your mom wanted you to take out the garbage. She never lets you do anything! Hey, do you ever coast your bike even when you're not going down hill? It's the same as in a grown-up's car like this.If you haven't tried coasting on level ground, try it after cartoons on Saturday morning.
Slow down and enjoy the journey. Improves traffic not stop go stop go so you actually get there faster, and alive. Also stress is the #1 killer and nobody else is paying your gas/ maintenance bill. Haste makes waste. Relax, Breathe. The two best doctors. You can even take a nap in the back w a foam pad bed like I have in mine. Make a second home w a nice skylight view in the back or even a lazyboy chair lift back (stops rain when you liftbacking). Second Prius owner and this car is still super inspiring :-) Did I mention you’re going to have this car forever if you slow down/ enjoy the ride (and maybe even your body and mind too).
"Forever" will be a very short time in some locations; it all depends on how many people you piss off how badly by just going an MPH or two under the limit. I find you *cannot* impede traffic, and to hell with laws like speed limits, following distance -- the typical child driver out there can't tolerate two seconds' delay. Not even cops give a damn any more.
I don't have a prius, but these techniques pretty much help improve mileage on ANY car. Its the people who speed and accelerate towards red lights that burn excess fuel.
Been driving my 2010 for almost 2 years now, glad to discover I know all of these techniques! It's just applying them to Cleveland traffic that's a pain lol. My cabinet filter needs replaced but I typically only get about 40-45 mpg with 35mph zones predominantly and minimal highway. I assume I'm doing alright 🤓
@@nickiemcnichols5397 I assume they were checked any of the times I got a free full inspection offer by Toyota, but I've never heard any comments on them. Why do you ask?
I love my prius and cannot wait to try out these techniques Bob i was reading online and someone suggested to me that while "gliding" to shift the car into neutral, is that good for the car? I do notice the indicator does nto say it is charging.......
just got my 2013 plug in prius. it's ok to drive in EV mode as much as possible when close to my house?? Is it ok to fully charge it 2-3 times in a day?? Great video
Good sound advice but you neglected to mention the 'B' mode used for going down steep inclines. A normal non-hybrid engine would keep your speed under control by using the engine to brake when your foot is lifted from the accelerator. This does not happen with hybrid engines as the petrol engine is not directly linked to the drive. Using 'B' mode collects the energy more rapid and charges the hybrid battery having a slight braking effect and not letting the car run away whilst your foot is not on the brake pedal. A bit like the F1 racing cars KERS system harvesting the braking energy.
No. the B-gear is only for going down extremely steep grades. The re-generation is from braking exclusively. B would only reduce your efficiency if you used it regularly. The normal brakes plus re-generation provide serious strong braking. I've never used B mode and I live in a mountainous area.
Last time I had my car in for service, I had to replace the brakes because my efficient recuperative braking meant they were hardly ever engaged, which led to rust build-up. So now I do some hard braking on purpose a few times a month to ensure that I have enough brake wear to avoid rust.
Actually, every time you brake to a complete stop, the hydraulic brakes engage when velocity drops below about 3mph, because at this speed, the motor generator (MG1 or MG2) are not rotating fast enough to generate enough counter-electromagneticforce to continue slowing the vehicle. In other words, the hydraulic brakes will always engage in order to come to a complete stop or conversely, the car will not come to a complete stop unless the hydraulic braking system engages.
Kevin Diaz-Lane, did you reply to the right comment? Yours makes little sense within the context. But in case you did intend to address my comment: I know that the brakes have to engage at very low speed. But at those speeds, there's hardly any energy left for the brakes to capture. It certainly doesn't cause enough wear to keep mine from rusting, at any rate.
if you want to clean the rust, put your car in neutral while going and use your brake. The regenerative system will not engage in neutral and you will only use your friction brake. Of course, do this on a parking lot or low traffic area.
@Yavor54 Thanks, getting the average over on Prius Chat. It is possible to get the performance of a V6 on a prius, with 60 MPG, if you replace all the gaskets with acetone resistant materials and add pure acetone to the fuel mixture, but that would require major work and the oil companies would not like it very much. You would also need a way to get the acetone into the tank without getting near the paint.

the worst i've done was pulling a tiny uhaul trailer up a snowy mountain with maybe 500 lbs in the car and 600 lbs in the trailer. i'm pretty sure i had no bars on the mpg.
my best was 3.9l in xp9, that is a non hybrid, just you know what we are talking here
2014 Prius here...averaging 51mpg on my 75 mile commute...temps have been between 30-50 degrees...hoping to get 55 in warmer temps...thanks for vid.
Thank you. This is the first video that helped. The owners manual is worthless, as well as the other videos. The truck was having vehicle in MPH to start.
@GoMetricToday - Fantastic! See, you really do get about 20% more mpg.
It is a totally different driving technique. I've also found that wind speed and direction
has a large effect as well. Nothing we can do about that! Remember, you'll drop about
8-10mpg in the winter because of the gas being thinner, the car heater keeping the gas
motor on and the battery efficiency going down... plus road friction increases from rain and snow.
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this video. Before watching this I had a complete wrong idea about my prius c mpg .
Just got my first Prius. 2012 two. First hybrid too! Thanks for the info. Super helpful for newbies like myself :)
Great job on the video, you were born for this!
Thanks!
I just got a 2015 and this extremely helpful. Thank you so much.
Hi, Bob, I just bought a 2008 Prius and like it a lot. I have to learn the various features still.
Great video Bob, I was really impressed. Very informative and well explained.
These are great techniques for hypermiling almost any car!
I’m coming to a Prius from a bmw 5 series and happy with the 50 mpg’s!
Amen, and the Prius runs on regular.
Excellent. The best video. I do 80% of this techniques thanks to this video.
Clear Sailing!
Im 23 years old and just got a 2013. very exited
Great, in my day I had a 283 1967 Malibu. Standard three speed manual transmission but it got over 20 miles per gallon which was good in those years for a V-8.
In case anyone is wondering, these techniques work on a prius c as well, minus the power button because they don't have one.
How do you live without power mode???
Yes it does
Very informative!
On city streets, if there is a slow driver, use that slow driver for the car and use the electric since you won't need the gas engine.
this is AMAZING!! God bless you for posting such an informative video. New Prius owner here. whoop whoop! Feeling so blessed~ :)
Very good information. I have been wondering about this for months now and I am so glad to have it so well explained!
A/C is on...and about
every 20 minutes, the motor comes on automatically to top-off the battery and then shuts off again. Bliss.
Never heard of start/stop technology?
I just did that the other day. There was an accident up ahead and I was stuck in traffic for about 20 minutes, inching forward just enough to keep my display from show 0 mpg on any of the one-minute segments. So I got 12 full bars in a row before the battery ran down and the engine started!
That is absolutely right. It is the only way hybrids gain on mileage. Conventional gas powered cars which switch the engine off when stopped, like the VW Blue Motion range, actually match hybrids for gas mileage. The other assets of hybrids, like regenerative braking only compensate for the extra weight of a hybrid.
I love my prius
Another tip: When driving under about 40mph, instead of using the A/C, turn it off and open the windows. However, when driving at highway speed, open windows will create more drag and decrease mileage more than using the A/C, so close the windows and use the A/C.
bruh its been 105F+ everyday where I live, I'm not turning off the A/C lmao
@@UrAdversary Understandable
How much does AC influence mpg? Roughly?
Wtcrazy
Absolutely wonderful video. SO useful. Thank you, Bob.
Weather and no rain I feel like have the biggest impact on MPG, Pray to the weather gods and you will get good mpg
that was a excellent video!! I really learned a lot. I will share this video with my friend since he just brought one! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks!
Really great video. Thanks for making this, very informative!
One of the things I do in my Prius, mainly to save the brakes, is when I know I have to slow down ahead is shift into B Mode. I am surprised you never mentioned that in your video. It allows you to slow down a bit faster without touching the brakes until you have to.
Nice!
that was terrific Bob Thx for the lesson .
Just got a Gen 2, loving it so far
I get over 50 on my gen two. And easily over 55 in my gen 3. Super fun to drive. Like a real life game
This is a great video! I sell Toyotas in San Francisco and I always share this video with my clients! Thank you!
Thanks man, just bought a used Prius and had no idea what that indicator was for.
Interesting note: these techniques (without the tricky Prius displays) work with literally every car on the planet.
It a auto selects 'P' .
the display makes it easier to keep track of and the whole pulse and glide thing is obsolete with cruise control
@@jaredlupton6838 was that US or imperial gallons?
@@jaredlupton6838 wife has a 2016 and i have a 2015.....very big jump in technology....from one to the other....
@Resistoon These techniques will work for ALL Prius models.
Great info! I have a 2010 Prius. I love it. I want to sell it so I can buy another one that has the solar roof. Great cars!!!
Excellent video! Well done and thanks for posting!
Thanks for your insightful comments "Bashingyourshit" . I wish you could have posted more helpful observations, but I'll bet your mom wanted you to take out the garbage. She never lets you do anything! Hey, do you ever coast your bike even when you're not going down hill? It's the same as in a grown-up's car like this.If you haven't tried coasting on level ground, try it after cartoons on Saturday morning.
what’s the intro song
"Clear sailing" Such a calming voice. :)
Great discussion. I think you need to teach using the b mode as well.
I don't have a prius, but these techniques pretty much help improve mileage on ANY car. Its the people who speed and accelerate towards red lights that burn excess fuel.
Should I always drive in eco mode? Will that help me save gas?
Can you explain the purpose of the "B" mode and how to use it? I find it just charges the battery and runs the ICE even when at a complete stop.
Love the tips! Now I need a Prius.
Eric Schmid have you had the battery cells checked?
@@nickiemcnichols5397 I assume they were checked any of the times I got a free full inspection offer by Toyota, but I've never heard any comments on them. Why do you ask?
love the 90's inspired music. Feels good.
Very useful and nice 👍 information, thanks Sir
what happens when it goes to the RED bar? beyond the eco mode when you press pedal to the metal
Thanks you, I really enjoyred your video and found it pretty useful.
Samed Abraham Gantus lol
When you finally integrate my driving techniques, you can expect 58 mpg average!
I love my prius and cannot wait to try out these techniques
Bob i was reading online and someone suggested to me that while "gliding" to shift the car into neutral, is that good for the car? I do notice the indicator does nto say it is charging.......
just got a 2011 thank you for this great info.subscribed.steve in Clearwater fl.
Thank you for offering all this info
just got my 2013 plug in prius. it's ok to drive in EV mode as much as possible when close to my house??
Very good and usefull video - Bob Nagy explain all throughly about Toyota Prius and it's Hybrid system..regards from Serbia - Marko
what song is this??
No. the B-gear is only for going down extremely steep grades. The re-generation is from braking exclusively. B would only reduce your efficiency if you used it regularly. The normal brakes plus re-generation provide serious strong braking. I've never used B mode and I live in a mountainous area.
Can you make a video on how to get the maximum MPG on a second gen Prius or did you already make one on that?
I have a 2nd Gen prius and using these techniques work the same. You just don't have the exact same computer display
Great informative video. Thanks
I have a PriusV, my mpg is about 43-44.7.
In Winter in Winnipeg, MB, Canada I only get about 7.5L/100kms with studded winter tires.
