Thank you! I typically learn these solos (or relearn them) just for the video lessons... and then a month later, I start forgetting parts LOL Must be called getting older :)

Great job! Alex is a favorite of mine. I learned Tom Sawyer and Red Barchetta a few years ago. Trying to play any of his solos with just the drums and bass for a backing track is hard as hell.

No dots on the fretboard and I might as well just be discovering a guitar all over again.

If you look closely at the top of the fretboard, there are little markers... very faint though :)

Kinda gives your right hand a break too! 🤘 Reminiscent of the lydian, phrygian, whatever... kinda thing in Don't Fear the Reaper... (It was the ultimate musical embodiment of evil for me.)(Perhaps not a 'good' thing to do in the realm of 'we can do it but should we do it' stuff...)

Thanks my man. Nearly had this solo from watching another tutorial. He did a good job, but I knew there we're a couple of parts that I knew weren't quite right, especially in the tricky sections 4 & 5.
I can play the whole song now! 🙂
Funny thing is... I didn't find the solo to be the hardest part to get right. For me, that was the quick hammering and pulling and sliding part... after the main theme parts. Getting the start was tricky too... but once I thought in morse code I got it... it really is _ . _ _ / _ . _ _ / _ _ . . (C being the dashes and F# being the dots).
For years I thought this song would be way beyond my level, but its actually not a fiendishly difficult as it sounds... a mark of genius in my book!
