Graphics meh. Gameplay fun af. I personally recommend Graphics mode with fps unlocked but I get that I may be alone on that. I like middle of the road. lol
how about the biggest problem - view distance & pop in ?

I'm definitely not getting a solid 56-60 fps even on performance mode. Somethin' ain't right here.
It’s noticeable without a VRR display, with one the stutters aren’t as common, personally I enjoy the game, yeah it’s not nearly as good as GoT, but it’s fun
When you walk in a straight line and slowly pan the camera 56-60 fps seems about right. What bothers me is he's not running through the city or anywhere else for that matter while panning the camera fast that's the issue, that's when I notice the most stutter/fps drops. Does that sound about right or is it just me?
I have a VRR display and I’m getting noticeable drops into the 40s just walking around and moving the camera
I can get past old graphics as long as the gameplay is good but i cant look past it having both dated graphics and poor performance.

I agree but my ronin is stuttering every ten seconds. And every other game works fine. Just bear god of war with no problems
@nickdipietro7157 hopefully through patches, that won't be a problem. That said, it would be nice if developers brought out games without these issues
Game is fantastic if you're a big Team Ninja fan and it looks much better IRL than any videos I've seen to date. Day one for Team Ninja fans and definitely recommend at minimum wait for sale if you enjoy soulslike games w deep combat mechanics
This looks so neat. It's not perfect but I wish I had more time to play this.
The game isn't as comparable to Ghost of Tsushima. It's more like an open world Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You get a massive variety of weapons, perfect parry combat, weapon stances, custom characters, and dialogue decisions.
ray tracing on with fps unlock while VRR on is the best way to play 😊
Hope they don't take months to make this better all about the combat and exploring

I think people complaining about the graphics do not enjoy Ninja Gaiden, Nioh, or Wo Long because who gives a damn about graphics with Team Ninja. Combat is king.

Not just those games, take a look at sekiro and elden ring ! Both managed to win GOTY despite ok graphics.
@@Yashdavid51 yeh except elden ring looks incredible, I will not forget how people lied and bitched about the trailers graphics then completely disappeared when the game released
@@Mrz_gotban what ? ER definitely doesn't look like a next gen game at all ! It was basically a PS4 game. GOT PS4 looked better than it. Event RDR2 looked better which came 4 years ago.
The atmosphere and overall environment was something out of this world and thats what clicked with the players.
Bought it and the frame drops are too much, going to have to wait for this to be updated. Why play a game in it's worst position
Play it on graphics mode, frame limit- off. Or prioritize fps and go crazy. I’ve been having 0 issue

@@watchmehope6560 yeah the stuttering is from the day/night cycle. The game itself isn’t stuttering i think? Although I’ve been having trouble seeing people with the bow and musket and stuff. Idk they’re like fuzzy and not in focus
The game is called Ghosts of Tsushima not Ghosts of Sushima.
I mean, just look at the difference in graphics...... GOT looks more next gen than that.... and GOT is 4 yrs older

Visually what is Ray Tracing offering? I can't see any difference. And yet it's rendering internally at a lower resolution making it look soft. I see no point for a feature that actual degrades the overall look. 60 fps is the way to go for a fast action title like this.
Rasterized lighting, shadows, and screen space reflections is more than a match for current ray tracing in many titles.
Ghost of Tsushima's main character modal looks 10 times better, but not to distract from the fact, Rise of the Ronin maybe a great game.
Spot on. Ray tracing is garbage on current consoles. They just can’t handle it. All it does is massively sacrifice resolution and framerate for reflections in windows and puddles.
@@Lewis-4 Tons of games where enabling RT doesn't sacrifice resolution and image quality. Take Spider-man 2 for example.

As he said, better lighting and shadows. You can play the game on RT + 60 FPS and if you use VRR the frame drops are very bearable.
Rise of the Ronin has a character creator while GoT has a fixed, perfectly designed character.
I wouldn't say it looks like a ps3 game. More like a game that came out around the first year of ps4 release. Gameplay is fun and the combat is it's saving grace but we definitely need some updates for sure.

They could've released this to ps4. Ps4 could handle ghost of tsushima which has 100x more amazing graphics and details on this. Rise of ronin graphics on ps5 with Ray tracing on=ghost of tsushima graphics on ps4. Ray tracing doesn't even show much difference in this game
This looks like a updated wild hearts Game , I’ll grab it on sale for 29.99
For a $70 game that was only being developed for one system this has no excuse looking like this. Too bad I opened my copy that I bought from GameStop. Next time I’m gonna hold off from buying any Team Ninja games cause this is unacceptable
Frame unlocked with vrr?
Funny enough the RT mode with unlocked framerate, ps5 set to 120hz, and VRR turned on. Really gives you the smoothest experience.
@@danquaza9275 It's good, but not the smoothest. Smoothest way is Performance Mode + VRR
