You're a very genuine guy with very genuine advice. Pretty cool. Not going to lie, I'm a little surprised, didn't expect an RC basher and eBay business owner to be so insightful. Helps my faith in humanity
Just installed a GPM steel front drive shaft and new output cones. My UDR is 5 years old and I could have kept running it and the plastic drive shaft was really in pretty good shape, but the out put cones did need replacing. I do use only a 4S battery and it handles that power reliably.

Ah gloves are essential, still calling you, Pat, 8'S Steve and Spike out on a Midnight Water Crossing. I'm talking big like a 1 Mile water crossing at night on a boat on the Colorado River is what I'm going to do. I'll take what ever you can do on a pond or small puddle as long as it looks cool. another thing that helps with assembly and disassembly is exploded diagrams (traxxas has them on their site with the downloadable manuals)

I see so many people coming into my local hobby shop telling them to fix something as simple as a driveshaft on a slash. It is really sad to see how lazy and uneducated some people are. They don't want to learn.

You could put the go pro at the back of the cabin in the middle and cut off the inner shoulders of the people rather than the head and you would probably get a better view cause it’s in the middle

i learned how to fix all sorts of things by watching then doing my uncle and grandfather taught me how to work on cars cause they worked on my uncles racecar

I am finally getting more into the maintenance and repair side of the hobby... as far as the UDR goes, do you think it is possible to purchase any part and fix anything that goes wrong? I'm still kinda new to this, and want to keep My UDR going as long as possible! what websites would you recommend for parts and or upgrades???
So before you put it together you should use the stock one to make your fabricated one

I got an imax b6 charger and does it matter if i balance charge my 5.2A/7.4V battery on the settings 2A/7.4V? Because my power cant handle 5A.
