The one Mario sports game that Nintendo NEEDS to bring back. Tennis and golf were cool, but this game and its sequel were the best of the Mario sports games.

Definitely. It's unfortunate that Nintendo mainly only cares about the Mario Party and Mario Kart games.

Nintendo usually cares more about expanding other IPs than continuing spin-offs. Mario Party was a hit all the time since not alot of games did what Mario Party did, Mario Kart is still the best "engaging" Kart game to date since, to me, Chocobo Racing on the ps1. For Mario Strikers these other sports spin offs don't continue as much is because of what its targeting, rather than if its a popular sport. FIFA makes alot of money for its players getting added, since there are multiple ways to get new teams and all that (like how EA LOVES to do loot boxes and get your fantasy team), rather than just the idea people love Soccer. In order for a new Strikers to be successful is adding in multiple characters from all corners of the Mario universe that haven't gotten in before, and make it online, as well as future dlc that adds in Nintendo characters and even more Mario characters. Sadly, it comes down to this: You can't compete to FIFA due to the Ultimate Fantasy Loot Box system, but I would still buy a new Strikers game over playing fucking FIFA.

I don't know if the chat told them or if they found out later, but sprinting makes it so certain moves (pass, turn, shoot) have a delay as the character has to exert more force to run faster.
And you can just run against a ball if someone is sprinting and take it.
Man, we *NEED* a new Mario Strikers! These games were so fucking hype!

Strikers looks like an actually fun soccer game pre-Rocket League, almost NBA Jam-ified. I never did find a soccer game before that wasn't boring as fck, especially on SNES.
Mega Man Soccer was ok.
International Superstar Soccer Deluxe is fun, the others are boring indeed.

For the captain charge shot to be unblockable you have to hit b two additional times to land the white cursor as close to the green bars as possible

Ah yes, the Dark Souls of Mario games, and also one of my favorite games of all time. This game in normal or a higher difficulty is insane. Watching them play it makes me feel happy and really needs to come back

I love this game! It's crazy! You get to tackle in a game of soccer (aka football in European countries). Also, when you don't have the ball, you can press the "Hit" button to tackle.
It's football in Latin America, Africa, Asia and Oceania as well.
I HOOOPE they play the second one that crap has WAAAAY crazier mechanics, with special power shots, IR goalie blocking, Crazy rebound charge shots! It was awesome!

No it was Gamecube night, but with the way things sound they might play the Wii version.
I never played either of these, is there a difference between the two outside of console and controllers used?

Damn they really need to bring back this series. The Strikers games are the best Mario sports games imo and I'm pissed that they haven't brought it back.
Also, if you guys get the chance you should try Strikers Charged, as it is even better and more fun than this game imo.
