It’s interesting huh! There’s so much going on in the microscopic world that we just can’t see. I was really surprised to see how much life there was feeding on her
I agree that the passed away brine shrimp was very fascinating to see- small organisms are still incredibly detailed, but there's just so much we can never normally see- I completely understand why it might feel like a different world, and it's given me a new appreciation for these little critters!
"I can't believe it's not Sea-Monkeys!" Yeah I'm ripping off the margarine not butter thing for this 😂. A person without previous knowledge buying this would have probably not put as much work as you did and dump the salt in the small container and all the eggs and then wonder why it didn't work. Or at least dumped all the eggs in the container. And even if it has ended up being Triops they wouldn't have hatched in salt water. Thanks for reviewing this weird thing for us to watch 😂!
Lmao--"lovely American triops". That's hilarious. They almost look like they have little wings. Maybe we can call them "butterLIES", since they're already incorrectly named.
Wow. That really was a mixed bag of crap, John. That ending shot really summed things up nicely. I’m just glad the survivors got to transport to an Ocean-Zoo to be part of a larger community. The volume of knockoff Sea-Monkey kits never ceases to amaze me.
Yup, a pretty terrible kit but it was still fun to test out nonetheless 😅 I have a few other knockoff Sea-Monkey products that I'll be making videos about next year :)

What fascinating interest and channel you have. I never thought about sea monkeys since childhood but it's endearing to see someone take this up as a hobby.
Funny really the name being ripped off makes me think of the possible reason they changed from “instant life” to “sea monkeys”. Wham-O had marketed “Instant Fish” which were killifish (oviparous cyprinodontiform). These beat Sea Monkeys to the market and could have been the end before they began, but “Instant Fish” just didn’t work - almost none of them hatched and they were so unpopular that I’ve heard stores wanted nothing to do with another “instant” gimmick, due to the refunds they’d had to issue and that this was why Sea Monkeys were largely advertised in comics. I’ve been binging your videos, it’s brought back some memories, I got an Aqua Zoo in yellow with an airer, and a magnifying glass - like almost everyone I killed my Sea Monkey’s by over feeding them, it’s a shame I never got anymore, I always loved aquariums of all kinds. I’ve decided to give the old hobby another go, what the hell you can’t reach the age of 30 and not accept the sea monkey challenge! 😂 Can I make a possible request for a future video? I love the inclusion of the microscope and I wondered if we could get a glimpse of the inside of packs 1, 2 and 3 from some kit in a video, if it’s not too much of an imposition? Blows my mind that there’s eggs in “1”, I feel cheated 😂Still no idea what “Growth Plasma” in 4 is, but since it’s about as easy to get as Sea Diamonds I won’t bother myself about it.
Oh I have to say too, I really love the respect you treat these beauties with, (I nearly fainted when I saw the keyring and the watch!) but it’s heartening to see someone with such an obvious and profound love of all life forms.
I have one of those old What-O Instant fish kits! I’ll review it on the channel some day :) Glad to hear you’re trying out Sea-Monkeys again - I think most people who watch my videos are adults getting back into the hobby 😅 and I’m working on a video at the moment where I test out all the different Sea-Monkey packets (will do microscope footage too) 👍
