Unless your lure is in the cone of the sonar, its kind of hard to really ascertain that. What you really want, if you are wanting to watch something behind the boat outside of the cone of your 2D sonar, is live sonar where you are shooting sonar in a horizontal direction. Such as Active Target, Live Scope, etc.

This is while trolling at ~2MPH for Salmon with a large 11" flasher and a spinner for a lure. Is there a way to determine when images that are history meet up with your trolled lure?
