I’ve defeated Mephiles in phase 1 with a special trick: If a group of shadows are laughing an getting ready for an assault, just stand on the ground and do the Circle Kick (roundhouse kick) so you get to increase your Chaos Meter faster.
When he says "How about this?", quickly turn to face him, jump up, and homing attack him. Then quickly jump and homing attack again to get away from him before he catches you and blasts you into a wall.
For the PS3 version, the only DLC it received was Very Hard Mode which is already done and the playlist link in the description contains it. The PS3 version did not get the other two pieces of DLC the 360 version got and I don't have a 360 so I can't record Boss Attack and Amigo modes.
Sonic's bosses, excluding SIlver and Wyvern, felt so tight timing-wise, almost like they were made with the idea of using Gems to beat them faster. Cerberus is do-able if you get 2 fast hits in - I've found using spindash can help you get on its tail before it finishes turning around after the first hit, allowing you to beat it VERY quick, but it's hard to execute. Iblis actually has a "trick" (not sure if that's the right word here) where, after the second hit, it doesn't destroy ALL the rocks in the front rows - there's one that's just close enough that you can homing attack over to the sphere, and hit him much faster than the first 2 times. It feels intended, given that Iblis dives right away on the 3rd hit. Even with that though, you still need to hold on to all your rings. Of course you could always just damage-boost over the lava, but that's the scrub's way of beating it :P Genesis, I have nothing. Genuinly don't know how to S-rank without gems, even without getting hit... Or I didn't, until this vid. I had NO IDEA you could attack the underside. I'm not sure if that's intentional or not tbh. I mean, it makes sense given Silver damages it from underneath, so maybe that was the "secret solution" to S-ranking it the devs put in, requiring you to think outside the box?
Can we make a remastered version of this game (even if we have the PC-6 DEMO version) but also, it would be better if Rouge and Mephiles didn't break the 4th wall because they look like there breaking it (is different cutscenes, there's not a single ship between them).
forces is not cannon and in those games she was only for love and trying to get sonic heart in Heros and shadow we don't speak of that,in forces i have to give sega credit for making more independent but even Elise did more then her

The better idea is to slide kick him. That way you're still on the move while he's stunned from the attack. He can't catch you at all.
