The greatest thing working against the progression of society is human nature. Greed, envy, and ambition are all double edged swords. They can be channeled into innovative passion or simply to steal and take from others. He's not wrong to value computers and robots. They don't lie, they do exactly what they're programmed to do, and any deviations in their behavior is entirely your fault as the designer. They are a force multiplier for someone that is actually capable, especially with how much of a genius that Doctor Eggman is. And much like Superman and Lex Luthor, Eggman hates Sonic because he refuses to believe that any being can actually be objectively good, much like Luthor hates Superman because Superman could at any point just decide to eradicate humanity and there's basically nothing that can be done to stop him. I’m also really enjoy that agent Stone, a character who as far as I know has no in-game basis. Has become such a prominent and likeable character throughout all the movies.
9:58 _"Throughout Heaven and Earth, I Alone Am The Honored One"
ALL of that advanced technology... and my favorite scene? When he pulls out a flip-lighter to find the breaker-box to get the power back on. Sometimes, the best tech is the low-tech used when the power fails.
casting team: "the main character will Sonic"
Jim Carrey "Hold my mustach"
Director: "And cut! Wonderful Jim, always a pleasure watching you play the psycho. Great acting!"
Carrey: "What acting?"
They really wrote the line “look what came out of my egg sac” and that made it all the way to the final take. Incredible.
I will die on this hill: for as funny as Jim Carrey was in this movie, Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone was the funniest thing in these movies and by a wide margin.
I will ABSOLUTELY DESTROY that hill, i will be EGGSCITED to see ITS DEMOLITION!
Jim Carrey single-handedly carried both movies on his glorious back
The mobile base built off an 18 wheeler is a very believable start to his inventions. Love the progression.
Robotnik had Galvatron in the first film
Robotnik is kind a guy that would 100% build Galvatron on purpose.
@ wait really
@@brandonharris7516 Yes. The semicab that pulls his mobile lab trailer is the same one that was used in Transformers Age of Extincion as Galvatron's vehicle mode.
@ yep that’s right! And that must’ve what happened to him after age of extinction and it seems like the perfect cover
@jacekpietrzak445 I read that as Semi-crab. I thought that you were saying that Eggman’s crab in the Sonic 3 was also in Transformers 4
I could honestly talk about Jim Carrey's Robotnik all day, he's absolutely my favourite version of the character, but something I haven't seen many people mention that I really love about him is how he actually makes egg puns, embracing that "egg" side in a funny way, rolls his r's in a few scenes just like Baldry did in Aosth and how absolutely nuts he acts in some scenes, truly showing the "Mad" side of the doctor. He's completely lost it after the Mushroom Planet and you can tell.
i love how in the movies lore he made working holograms and instead of patenting them he just uses them to run away from a trex or go snowboarding or whatever else vr youtube video he downloaded
I love how he slowly becomes more and more unhinged with each movie 😂
“Throughout Marble Zone and Green Hill Zone, I, alone, am the egg-headed one.”
- Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik
rounded one
I love the transition Jim Carrey's Robotnik has gone through over all of the live action movies, in terms of character portryal and appearance, from a movie studio looking like they were doing their own thing to make a fictional franchise work in the real world, to making the character more accurate to the source material.
I know this has style began in the comic book superhero genre but it's good to know it can be applied to the video game franchises too.
8:39 this is my favorite part
He definitely loved everything about it
He’s darn acended to rap god
I'm with you there.
Jim Carrey is just perfect for the role, can't think of anybody else
Jim Carey is the Best robotnic i see ever

Doesn't Knuckles punch through it all anyway?

0:06 is gonna be every job except farming one day 😂😂😂
That was very smart of Eggman creating a back-up manual control maintenance, just in case if he lost the Master Emerald.
7:23 I love that Robotnik has the Bee-Bots from the first Sonic the Hedgehog games. 🙂
How the power went out just for sonics quill 2:39😂😂
Power Overloaded, of course.
Eggman overloaded his truck power sourse whit the infinite energy from sonics quill
I like how in every movie he becomes more like the game version of Eggman in appearance
6:28 Helldivers.
Odst did that first 🙄
Both, both are good, yes, both
Sonic: Hey look a giant talking egg
Jim Carrey is a literal comedy god, no one beats him.
We truly do not deserve this man. Jim Carrey is a comedy god.
Oh but seriously who were those three dudes that Eggman takes out at the start of the second movie before Knuckles shows up?
Robotnik is my absolute FAVORITE character. Jim does an absolutely amazing job bringing him to life! 💕
I like how over the movies you see him become to look more and more like eggman
Jim Carey's performance is both HILLARIOUS 😅 and BRILLIANT.
A+ performance 👍 👍!!!!!!!!!!
Took me until the second movie to realize that these drones were shaped like eggs… but I couldn’t tell because they were flying sideways.
And I feel dumb.
I get stone
I'd do anything for this man
What do I look like, an imbecile?
Of course I want a latte…

"They don't need a time off to get drunk on a pond water!" xD
i love that he shows his love for the duds coffe but shouts out at the same time
"You know what I love about machines?....They do what they're told"
Metal Sonic: You there...Yes, you....Hold my beer.
9:33 bro inhaled it
Yum
Even robotnik can appreciate a good fire light lol
I love this so much. Jim Carrey does a fantastic job playing Dr Eggman Robotnik. I am so looking forward to see Sonic the Hedgehog 3😂😂😍🥰💖💜💙🌈🦄📱

😂 I’m disliking this comment
Eggman's stand alone movies starring Jim Carrey would be nice. 🎉❤
Jim Carrey nails the classic "Dastardly Villain" so well.
I like how further on in the movies he gets more game accurate.
I love Jim Carrey 8:33
The first thing we hear from his about his inventions is wild 💀
Jim Carrey is a great choice to play Robotnik ❤

Best Jimcarry as Eggman moment
Jim Carrey was born for this role. He made these Sonic movies!❤
Says he was retiring after Kickass 2. Comes back fukin swinging like a baws banging out great movies left and right.
"Of course i want a latte I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM!" 😂 my favorite line
first movie:I LOVE THE WAY YOU MAKE THEM
Second movie:Hmm
Could use some mushroom...
I've seen quite a few movies with Carrey and you can tell the ones he's really having fun with.
And he is having a blast in the sonic films.
Dr. Robotnik is a genius smartest scientist know everything. But also cause of chaos
Robotnik's transformation is almost complete. We're almost there!❤
Jim Carrey was suprisingly good as DR Eggman
Jim playing Egg man is similar to both actors of Deadpool and Captain Jack Sparrow. I can't see anyone else doing the role better.
He met Sonic and went totally insane…
robotnik looks down: "so glad it didn't cut my..... mustache..."
