They used the same crappy-ass suit from the later Superman Movies, so you didn't miss anything ! Consider it merciful that they never gave you a full close-up shot ! They should have at least gone with the original Christopher Reeve suit, but of course they didn't, because the producers WANTED Superman to look crappy !!
0:38-0:50 is so, so sweet and emotional. Clark has finally completed his journey and embraced his destiny as Superman after ten whole seasons of development. Very, very nice.
It's a proven fact that the longer he's under a yellow sun the more his powers increase. He doesn't gain any new ones once he's fully grown, but the ones he does have only increase which means he's always slowly getting stronger. Also the mountain in Superman Returns had Kryptonite in it so naturally it was harder for him to move.
Smallville Clark is the most powerful live action version even compared to cartoons with Superman by far. Smallville Clark is god tier level. Also Clark was only 23 at the end of Smallville. Also the smartest incarnation of Superman.
@@CaptainLunar1994 exactly they've confirmed that Smallville Clark is Silver Age Superman ie the unbelievable feats. He was going past the speed of light before leaving hs. Has super genius mind and photographic memory, immortality like Wonder woman and doesn't age, n was tanking things like it was a feather before he was out of HS that even the main movie verse and cartoon Superman and TV Superman would be crushed. Objectively there's a reason he was depowered during Crisis because he could easily one shot the arrow verse and the heroes included. Even kryptonite started being less and less and less effective.
lol don't take that literally. but yeah, he said he really didn't want to wear the tights, so the show adhered to that. same with how michael rosenbaum agreed to come back to smallville for the finale but wore a bald cap because he refused to shave his head anymore because he disliked it so much during the series.
@@Jozombies115 just researched so I'm not biased. He apparently shaved his head. This is the statement I got "Smallville star Michael Rosenbaum shaved his head multiple times a day so his hairline would not become visible while playing Lex Luthor, and he has a picture to prove it" so I assume like this guy stated on the original comment he probably got tired of shaving and decided to wear a bold cap for the finally season.

What AMAZING thing is that Tom Welling was NOT performing this role after "Smallville "? I mean,SERIOUSLY?!? never understood why this show never showed him in the superman suit. just a head shot with the cgi cape in the background or something from afar, ya know???
-Ahem-when you go back and talk about the Earth, its people, its riches, and it's potential...when you tell others of this planet, tell them this... IT IS DEFENDED
I still love how he says to Darksied. "I will not kill. Its easier to hate, but its stronger to love." Then Jor El does the whole flashback montage and gifts him with the full power and the first thing our Superman does? *flies fist first into Darkseid possessing Lionel and kills him* Our hero!!!
Tee thing about this series not showing us a full suit shot is that Superman is not just another superhero, he is THE Superhero, all other superheros look up to him from both sides. And our generation grew up with Christopher Reeve, we had something and someone to look up to, he even tho just a character in a film gave us hope, the cinematography, the acting, the music made us all see what we could become (Just without the superpowers). With all the mess the world is in these days, we more than ever need Superman and when Reeve died, the worlds superhero died and nothing replaced it. Seeing Tom Welling in the suit as he had Reeves` blessing and as a character in the series too wouldve given us a glimpse of a better time and place we were all in. The world needs Superman for kids to look up to, and hollywood has given us dross and crap. End of rant,. fuck off.
This is my favorite superhero show of all time and it has an explosive ending. I will buy the blu-ray boxset shortly, because I belive in physical format. I also hav music cds for ripping. Damn it how much I miss this show!
they explained numerous times that he got stronger as he grew up. like when lex shot him in season 1 he got bruises but in the season 3 finale (i think its that episode) the car he was in blew up and clark didnt have a scratch. and superman is that strong in many versions of superman although i will agree that after this many years of superman history there are lots of inconsistencies due to the many writers
I'm still sad Smallville has ended...it was a huge part of my life. Now that Smallville has ended I got nothing to look forward to. Another Superman related show is gone and we don't know how long the next Superman-esque show will come on TV. The first show that got me all sad was Buffy and then Lois and Clark, now its Smallville. By far Smallville has been the longest investment of my life.
@@snake7440 28 years old…you have a different outlook ten years later. Still a Smallville fan and I bought the 20th Anniversary Box but Life is more than just one show. Haha.
It seems with Superman power he only uses just enough amount a situation calls for. While Darkseid may be able to beat him ON THE GROUND in strength Superman is able to throw planets out of the way is a bigger fest. He's the all around better "athlete".
It sucks that they waited til for The Series Finale when He finally Flies. SMH. Hello! HE WAS SUPERBOY!! Remember??! And He Always Flew in the Comics at a Young Age long before he Became Superman.
+Jonathan Campbell Actually Clark was never Superboy, it was revealed in the chapter in the comics that Superboy and Superman were from different universes and that Superman was never Superboy
If you remember, in smallville clark needed to accept the fact of being kryptonian and not human. This means, that superman had to admit he was Kal-El and that clark was a disguise, and not just like saying "oh yeah i am kryptonian and not human", Superman had to accept this in his deep mind to finally be able to fly
In the episodes, "Crimson" and "Prey", Clark makes huge super leaps, and lands in the desired area in a way that makes no impact on the ground. Here, Clark is shown to be strong enough to push an entire planet. I always like it when things feels realistic regarding superhero adaptations, to make situations feel more plausible, lowering suspension of disbelief and aiding in the wonderful wish fulfilment fantasy of pretending to be a superhero. Clark clearly possesses immense strength, and it feels like he should be making big thuds sometimes regarding the strength on display. I think it should be said by Clark, that when he super leaps, or pushes a planet, he feels the strength inside him and shifts it, so that when he lands somewhere after super leaping, his strength has lessened at the bottom of his body, and when he pushes a planet, he shifts his strength to his forearms and hands. Noticeably, when Clark didn't know he had superpowers due to a spell by Zatanna in the episode, "Hex", when he super leaps, he breaks the ground's cement.
One of the ways the explain it scientifically like the Flash is Superman's body generates it's on like force field aka also tactical kinesis. What he touchs or touches his body his own persoal field spreads. Which is why his regular clothes and shoes etc. Don't turn to absolute dust running or flying faster than light speed, or why he can run or catch people with them being vaporized or hurting themselves, also why buildings he's holding don't crumble under their own weight.
I really wish in this final scene right next to where Oliver says "come on clark, you got this..." we got to see all the people clark has changed for the better all watching the man of steel go and fight darkseid in like a little flash-like scene. For example, how they showed clark's memories in this same episode. So, show the JSA, the JL, Chloe, Lois, Martha, Pete, Lana, and all the others he has had an influence on....
Although I loved this show, I still never figured out how there ended up being so much wind in space. (look at Clark's hair after he pushes Darkseid's planet away).
Jesus this Superman from this timeline is a fking GOD!!!! Edit: no one tells you content creators this but, thank you for posting this video boss! Hope you get many likes on it!! ❤
No tights no flights... until the finale, and this was the finale episode. They stayed pretty much true to their world, with some slight cheats along the way.
I kinda understand why Tom Welling didn't want to fully be in the suit, but he should have been in it for at least one shoot with no manipulations or tricks. And the irony is that he never wanted to be remembered for just playing Clark Kent, nor Superman, yet that's exactly how people remember him today. Playing such a character, even if it is just as Clark, is going to have a huge impact on anyone's career.
Real superman ? ever since CW bought Smallville, they made the " teen Drama " as you call it. It was all about the "Secret love between Lois and superman ( AKA Clark)... and the Visual Effects.. C'mon they could have done it alot better, but the greedy *** from CW, prefer To spend A little and gain Money from the reputation of smallville's earlyer Seasons..
They chose Tyler Hoechlin as Superman. I say why not have Tom come in as Bruce Wayne. With SG on the CW, there will be lots of crossovers. Barry created somewhat Flashpoint so have Batman involved, not full-time but enough to fulfil the Flashpoint story. Have someone play Hal Jordan and John Stewart. I think if the creators are smart they should do it. And not over look Tom. Anything can happen.
PiazzaGurl yea hopefully cw can turn it around but arrow still sucks. I kinda blame it on flash tho becuz they took all the good writers leaving arrow with poor to mediocre writers
+BRING BACK YOUNG JUSTICE No. Arrow to me hit a slump because Ollie still hasn't changed. Still too dark. I miss the original Arrow from Smallville. He was quick and with humor but also disturbed. New Oliver Queen is just too disturbed. They need to change him. Flash is the shit cuz they play right onto the character from the comics. They need to do that to Arrow. And Supergirl is very decent, so making her a bit more of a know it all would help.
dont forget guys Smallville is still continuing as a comic book takes place 6 months after this event season 11 is amazing so far and it is Smallville because the one writing the story is a writer from the show
As amazing and epic as this moment was, seriously, how do you push a planet out of another's orbit even if you're Superman!? I know he does things like this in the the movies and comics but it kind makes you wonder what is he pushing to move the planet??? lol
In realisty, he wouldnt save the earth. The planet came close enough for earth to have experienced huge gravitational changes. Not only could it have affected earths orbit of the sun, which may alter global temperatures, it would have also affected the moons orbit, again changing tides and seasons and possibly earths tilt - more seasonal changes. But thats not even the issue.... The oceans would have seen massive forces affecting it. The global tsunamis would have wrapped round the earth, killing billions. There could have been tectonic shifts also, triggering huge earthquakes, increasing the casualty rate. And thats ignoring the fact that trying to alter the velocity and direction of a planet moving 5miles per second in such a short time would have torn it apart, causing millions of meteorites to rain on the earth. I hope he savoured that smile through the window with Lois... it would have been the last he got.
Hate to say this, but that planet crashing into Earth. Its gravity would have ripped out most of the United States & Metropolis would be disintegrated into atoms.
if ur talking about the red haired girl her name is linda Tomassone. she has a demo reel on youtube and she was on the haunting hour ep called red dress
I watched all of smallville, but to be honest. A lot of it was like drama over and over and it was like get to the story and action already. And the bit on clark taking 10 years to learn how to fly is just pathetic. I mean seriously how did they end the series like that. I think the series finale to himym and breaking bad sucked as well. But 10 years to learn how 2 fly.................. I think the show needed to be a little more organized. Some of the story added up to be quite fortunate to pass off as a story line. Clark going into the future, the rNb blur, getting possessed like over and over.. Sigh* to sum that all up, the show needed more juice. If this wasn't a show about superman, i never woulda watched it
Till this day, I'll never understand how DC never gave Tom Wellington's Superman a movie. We grew up watching Smallville, only for DC to give us a piss poor superman movie. This was before Henry Cavill, whom DC is dropping the ball again on. Hell, the Lex Luthor in Smallville was far superior to the Lex Luther in the Batman V Superman movie.
Sure, Clark. Spend another 15 seconds staring at Lois through the plane window. It's not like there's another planet falling to Earth or anything like that...
Obvious they (the producers) wanted Clark do a Pre-crisis Superman level feat, I think. And in comics before the Crisis, Superman was so powerful he could tow a chain of them. Then again comics sometimes don't make much sense...

@@brandontrammel4581 Eh that's still Silver Age Superman and All Star Superman. They made robots

Wow that's what I call commitment. I applaud him for going through with it for 9 years, good on him.
Michael wasnt bald for the final season?
@@z.a.y.n-5053 I thought he wore a bald cap the whole time.

Not since "Lois &Clark" were the characters so well portrayed than on "Smallville " Plus, when J.L.A,as well as J.S.A portrayal on this show, haven't been able to view ANY other depicted shows( ie: Supergirl,The Flash,Green Arrow etc) as THOSE actors/Actresses in " Smallville " NAILED the characters!

He was vanquishing the greatest threat to existence because of his love for the rest of Earth.
End of rant,. fuck off.
Superman is overrated. He's just called "THE superhero" because that's what we've neen told.
And then arrowverse had to ruin this masterpiece by taking away his damn powers smh

Arrow was a better show than this but damn that Crisis crossover was dumbed down

his feats on screen make him stronger than most supermen in animation or live action.

When Tom Welling says he played Clark Kent and not Superman, well... there was that one time...
I'm still sad Smallville has ended...it was a huge part of my life. Now that Smallville has ended I got nothing to look forward to. It seems with Superman power he only uses just enough amount a situation calls for. While Darkseid may be able to beat him ON THE GROUND in strength Superman is able to throw planets out of the way is a bigger fest. He's the all around better "athlete".
Bit he would never use that ability because of the loss of life
His hair blowin in the vacuum of space.
Me: I guess if the planets gravitational poles didn't carve each other up, surely there can be wind in space.
Alternate version of him
he was also superbaby, remember?
If you remember, in smallville clark needed to accept the fact of being kryptonian and not human. This means, that superman had to admit he was Kal-El and that clark was a disguise, and not just like saying "oh yeah i am kryptonian and not human", Superman had to accept this in his deep mind to finally be able to fly
Super boy was Conner Kent (Kon-El)
Smallville’s Clark Kent/Superman is gonna be in Crisis! Can’t wait to see him alongside Brandon Routh and Tyler Hoechlin as Men of Steel
A new age begins
I Hope Smallville Comes Back Someday.
Best series ever
Jesus this Superman from this timeline is a fking GOD!!!!
Edit: no one tells you content creators this but, thank you for posting this video boss! Hope you get many likes on it!! ❤
Smallville's motto, back in 2001, was "No tights, no flights." I see they brought it anyway. Meh. And eeeeeeeeeeew, he hooked up with Lois.
They fucked up so baddly.... i'm so sad.. last 4 seasons weren't anything special, tho first 6
he last season was REAL Superman, not stupid teeen drama
Real superman ? ever since CW bought Smallville, they made the " teen Drama " as you call it. It was all about the "Secret love between Lois and superman ( AKA Clark)...
and the Visual Effects.. C'mon they could have done it alot better, but the greedy *** from CW, prefer To spend A little and gain Money from the reputation of smallville's earlyer Seasons..
lexspeady at least its better then superman returns, the movie before the man of steal
Luis Alba Superman Returns was great but Man of Steel reeked!
2:56 that’s how I felt when I finished the university.
Let's hope that Tom appearing in super girl is such a big hit they have to bring him back as superman
+PiazzaGurl supergirl is a shit show tho and arrow suxks too flash carries all of these cw shows
+BRING BACK YOUNG JUSTICE No they don't. And now that it's on CW, lots of changes can be made. SG didn't belong on CBS... at all.

As amazing and epic as this moment was, seriously, how do you push a planet out of another's orbit even if you're Superman!? I know he does things like this in the the movies and comics but it kind makes you wonder what is he pushing to move the planet??? lol
That is a easy question answer. The planet have land. Like earth does. He pushed on the land of the planet Sir.
In the comic book it called World Planet.
This is why you don't bring real science into this.
If you guys are still missing smallville, check out the smallville season 11 comic book run which is a direct continuation from season 10

And so the legend begins
I watched all of smallville, but to be honest. A lot of it was like drama over and over and it was like get to the story and action already. And the bit on clark taking 10 years to learn how to fly is just pathetic. I mean seriously how did they end the series like that. I think the series finale to himym and breaking bad sucked as well.
But 10 years to learn how 2 fly.................. I think the show needed to be a little more organized. Some of the story added up to be quite fortunate to pass off as a story line. Clark going into the future, the rNb blur, getting possessed like over and over.. Sigh*
to sum that all up, the show needed more juice.

I like your default picture:)
