They continued Smallville and called it Arrow as Green Arrow appeared on the show. Then Supergirl which was on Smallville but was called Kara, John Jones (martian manhunter) on Smallville but they changed his name to Hank Henshaw on Supergirl.
The thing that always bother me about that scene is Clark never had the ability to fly before and a lot of character on the show had it (Martian Manhunter, Kara, Zod, Brainiac). How did he knew it was Clark?
Yea, I wondered why was Lana in Smallville? Was she there to bust Clarks chops since she is now a Kryptogirl. Full of Kryptonite. Also why in the scene with her when a guy came up to her she lacked super powers? These are on my dark side and it is a thorn in my side. But great ending for a series that needed to end after ten long years.
+Fat Mann That was before she got her powers. What you saw was taken from Smallville season 6, episode 1 - Zod. She got her powers in season 8, episode 13 - Power.
This is awesome!!!! I had always hoped it would end with Tom in the suite flying around the earth just like the movie this is awesome looks so professional
Thank You Thank You ThankYou!!! After 10 years of 'teasers' - brilliant writers and producers and spectacular buildup that pointed to the kind of ending depicted here...just to fizzle out in bed...What the hell was on their minds??? I would've have signed off around season 5 if I suspected what was coming. Thank You Again!!!
Very nicely done, Wish they could have made a TV Movie that covered the gap between saving the world from the big bad in the final episode to the 6 years later that finished the series. The story of how he made the move from "The Blur" to "Superman" in the eyes of the public. But this is a great job of using clips from the series and a few from the movies, to make a more encompassing ending, thanks :-)
Very nice.. It would be nice to see tom welling appear in legends of tomorrow in the superman returns suit from another earth with his cousin kara from his universe. Helping the tan out
Such a good show. After about the 5th season, I decided he wasn't going to fly until the final episode and he would not become Superman until the final episode. With this being said, I also was able to predict the ending. I told my wife it would probably end on the roof of the Daily Planet, he will walk toward the screen with the traditional Superman theme playing and open his shirt to show the "S" and it would zoom in and fade to black. And it would not surprise me if we got to see the end credits in the style of the Chris Reeve movies. I could predict that show with 98% accuracy. Though I did not see the Lana/Lex wedding coming, or the Chloe death coming. To this day, I am convinced that they intended to kill her off. That house exploded the moment they shut the door. There was no time to get to safety. I think they got bad press and changed it. Anyone remember the episode with Tom Wopat, where the paid homage to the Dukes of Hazzard?
Chloe didn't die. She got down to the safe house underground right before the bomb exploded. She then kidnapped by a meteor freak and then rescued by clark.
P.M. Hotard That's what I'm saying. at the end of the season finale, she and her dad entered the house and shut the door, then the house exploded. There was originally no time to get to safety. I think she was originally meant to die.
I love how people come to these things and crow on about how they knew what was going to happen in a show that's been off the air for years. Predicted the show with 98% accuracy my ass. So from day one you knew that it would be Kryptonite that would power most of the big bads? That Lexs dad and sister would be Allie to Clark? That they'd introduce doomsday and Lois into an origin story? Please.
Batman Laughed Don't like it? Go back to your batman videos. Notice I didn't capitalize it? I made my predictions over time, moron. Elements were introduced and was able to deduce where they were headed. I did know Doomsday was coming. I also knew about Zod and the fact that he would be back. I knew how they were going to bring in the Fortress of Solitude. I knew after about the 3rd episode that most of the villains would be meteor freaks. So yes, I saw most of it coming. I saw a trailer with Clark acting like an ass and knew the episode would feature red kryptonite. You can doubt all you like. I have been die-hard superman fanatic probably longer than you've been alive, junior. I never missed an episode of Smallville. Believe it. I knew that most of it was coming. And by the way, I also knew from the beginning of your rant that it would likely be a grammatical abomination with misspelled words like, "ally" and bad punctuation, if you bothered to use it at all. You were probably wrong a lot too, when you tried to deduce what was coming in the show. Go back to Batman. He seems more your speed.
+Se7ven Stones Yeah I get you. I had the chance to watch Smallville as a kid. With my lack of knowledge on superhero I had no idea what was going to happen next. I miss those day...
i liked smallville for its time but its funny it took 10 season for him to have a cgi suit on or just wear a shirt vs the supergirl show she wears it in the pilot. man we have gone a long way of super hero tv shows. i do thank smallville started it all without we wouldnt have supergirl, arrow, the flash etc ( btw flash is my fav show out of all the superhero shows)
This video was great. I really wish that they would bring Tom back as Superman to be featured as a guest star on the Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow. Of course, that's probably too much to hope for, given the upcoming movies featuring Superman.
Two the things the creators of the show said: 1) Clark would not wear the suit and 2) Clark would never fly. That's because Smallville was an origin story. Well they reneged on the second one in the series finale. I would have preferred not to have Lex be president. We got what we got and I was satisfied with it.
The sad part is in season 11 ( the comic cannon to smallville ) he change the suit couple month later. The suit looked more like the New 52 with no underwear, a black crest on the cape instead of a yellow one and a red belt instead of the iconic yellow belt. If they were gonna update the suit they could have done it in the show instead of updating it in a comic not everyone was gonna read.
If you look closely it looks like the one out of the Dean Cain series. The reason they couldn't show more, was they couldn't. Warner Brothers only owns 50% of CW. Warner to keep their rights on their DC products said CW could use some of the characters, but they could only do so much. Like with certain characters they couldn't show them in full shots in their costume. Some they have no problem with. but with the main ones like Batman and Superman you will never see a full shot of them in costume in a TV series. It is the reason you don't get a clear shot of Superman in costume in Supergirl. It is also the reason you will not see Bruce Wayne at the end of Gotham put on the Bat suit.
+Gordon Hotchkiss I heard this, too, throughout SV's entire 10 seasons. They were (supposedly) constantly fighting over character rights, and what they could and could not show, like how closely the costumes could match, and on, and on, and on... I know at one point in Smallville's run - when they talked about Lex in boarding school (with Bruce) - I read that they couldn't use BW/Batman because they wanted to save him for the movies that were already in the making, but I just never really got it, you know?!? Clearly we're intelligent enough to realize that one is a TV show, and the other a major motion picture, so why not make the fans (that are lining all TPTB's pockets with $$$) happy... :) P.S. Love Gotham, and the actor that plays Bruce Wayne - I actually think he'd grow into a GREAT Batman - but Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and Riddler (Cory Micheal Smith) Own. My. Soul!!! :D
wow nice, i loved the new shots but I get why they didn't show it. Tom brilliant actor in smallville just didn't suit the superman look in the superman suit, that was why we didn't get it but great scene must have been agonising to leave it out for the creators. Also just read itas fan made. Great job .
+My Stupid Reviews - Actually I think it might've been a budgeting issue. When Johnathan Kent hands Clark the suit, that's actually the suit from Superman Returns, which wasn't fitted for Tom Welling. So they had to kind of improvise to make it look like he's wearing it.
+My Stupid Reviews The producers have said in multiple interviews it was their decision all along not to show Welling in the suit as that was not the purpose of the series. I smell a bit of B.S., maybe they were too cheap to re-tailor it to fit Welling, or several other reasons, but alas, the producers made a choice... one I disagree with (I see their point, if that's true, but I still disagree with their stupid decision wholly)
My Stupid Reviews Well, I don't think that rule of not showing Tom in the suit applied to the final episode, because they tried to show him in the suit, but didn't have the budget to physically make him one, so they did it by CG. I think it was just a money thing.
Sigh 😔 watching I feel like the ending was a missed opportunity (mostly due to Tom Welling) not wanting to be in the suit because he said he’d feel like they’d be cheating if they did
the least they could've done was make it not look so obvious they were hiding the suit. They should've had a legit upper half (like the undershirt he wore in the final scene on the roof) and just show that and CGI the cape with better quality. Even Booster Gold got more justice than Superman. The poor quality is what was so underwhelming about it. They could've made an original suit and an all-new modern take on it instead of the usual tights. Something like a step up from the red leather jacket and jeans that fit more naturally instead of form fitting. Even that would've been better than what we got. If this was the best they could do, the last scene should've been him flying out of the fortress and a cliffhanger ending of him going on to fight Darkseid/Apokolips.
3:48 What episode is that from in the original, he was wearing the black suit. but Im wondering what episode it is where hes on the rooftop ???? please help
Spencer Adams I honestly don't remember, I've done so long time ago. I only know the title was "tribute" and the author wasn't anyone super-known unfortunately so I don't remember his name. If I'll find it somewhere I'll let you know.
That's not much of an alternate ending. He looks completely animated as if he's not wearing the suit at all. I still shake my head wondering why he's in that awful 'Returns' suit.
Probably because of the budget. Those suit are not cheap. Also I think New 52 wasn't out yet so the outfit still had the underwear. And yes the suit is CGI.
+Michael Terrell you are sure you have seen the last episod of smallville? Because it is exactly that way it ends. WidgetArtficial has just added some plans
+Michael Terrell they should at least shown the superman suit half the season 10... or a full season. season of Superman.. but naaah, we got seconds in the series finale -.-
If I had been in Tom Welling's place, I would have accepted to wear the suit once, just once, if only to please the public and for the final scenes. That would have given the proper closure to Clark's journey to become Superman. Except for one or two details, this is actually pretty well done, good job. Close enough to the way I would have wished the finale was.
+Mr Gerrit Bates It's not like they couldn't have customized it for him. As far as I know, it wasn't that he "couldn't" wear the suit, it was that he "didn't want to". He agreed to play the role of Clark as long as they didn't have him wear the Superman suit.
I like your ending because we don't actually have to have a conversation with Lois and Clark at the Daily Planet just before another distress situation happens that needs Superman. We just need to see that Clark embraced his alter ego and is doing the stuff that we already know Superman does.
Smallville season 10 finale Revision of Lois Lane and Clark Kent when the Clark became superman. Needs to Smallville season 10 Revision in the dvd and the bluray. When the Clark Kent was flying with his outfit to Airforce one.
With love and best regards to Tom Welling, who for so many years played the role of Clark Kent/Superboy/Superman with dignity, talent, and distinction.
Even though Tom was not in the suit very much - the writers wrote "Superman" / Clark Kent / Kal-El well and balanced adding new stuff with the familiar and a touch of homage to the best Superman actor ever, Christopher Reeve. I do not like the Man Of Steel writing of Superman for it makes him too dark and the qualities of the character that make him what he is is sadly missing. In trying to make Man Of Steel like Dark Knight they forgot that Superman is the White Knight to Batman's dark knight.
Well you have to remember that Man of Steel wasn't a superman movie. it was a movie about Clark Kent becoming superman. this is his origin so there's not really a superman to represent anything bc he hasn't really been superman hell we got the suit And like an hour later he had to find Zod to the death. It was the first superman movie that focused on how he got his powers, or where he came from , instead of just showing up and being superman we learned about Clark Kent. it was like his first day on the job of superman. You can't say you don't like a movie just because it's different.
+TheEntourage17 Actually, you can say you don't like a movie because it is different (than what you'd expected/other movies/source material/etc.), but it would be your opinion on the matter and nothing more.
Reffots While yes in theory you are correct, but remember in a movie you cant expect it to be exactly everything that everyone wanted in a superman movie, but, it is all an opinion I cant steal that away from him. But he is mostly at fault for judging a movie that in no way is supposed to resemble the previous incarnations. He's trying to judge the movie based off what it's not instead of what it is.
+Jason Miller I'd just need to correct you slightly, Christopher Reeve was great in all his four movies - the scripting, direction and budget were awful in the last two movies. Some of the best, Oscar nominated actors in the world have looked terrible in poorly written/directed movies (Mark Wahlberg in The Happening, Robert Denero in any named comedy).
+TheEntourage17 I wish you were a Hollywood producer. In this modern era, all the bigwig execs think is retread what has been done before (& unneeded origin stories). I agree with you here, although, yes, it's subject to much debate. In MoS universe, the Kents raised Clark much, MUCH different than, say, they Kents of Smallville tv series. And the consequences of them raising him that way are shown repeatedly in MoS, with results that are much different from any other Superman tale. Personally, my opinion is Kevin Costner's Pa Kent allowed his fear & strictness to overshadow everything else; which is why Kal El was unprepared for his first big outing & Zod. The Superman of Smallville AND the Chris Reeve era would NEITHER allow the metropolis battle to go as it did. Destroy the machine, then get away from civilians & THEN duke it out. In fact, In the 2nd movie, Reeve did just that when he saw he couldn't keep citizens safe, he got out of there for a new strategy & the results were MUCH more tame than what happened in MoS. At least MoS is handling the consequences of the Metropolis battle in Batman vs Superman instead of just ignoring all the devastation & loss of life that occurred in that final act like most other movies do.
We really waited 10 years for two minuets and in the DC Crossover event, Clark says he didn't want his powers; I'm really thankful this fan edit still exists to remind me of what could and should have been.
People need to realise, that the reason Smallville didn't really focus on screen time with the suit is that, this is entirely an origin story. If they ran a whole season or even a couple episodes of Clark (superman) in the suit it'll ruin the illusion of the fact that this is just an origin story. Not about him being superman but becoming superman.
but the whole reason the show was called smallville is because it was suppose to be about clark being raised in smallville. but after season 6 the show didn't take place in smallville anymore. it was mostly in metropolis but clark still lived at the farm for some reason. which didn't make sense because Jonathan was dead and Martha left to do senator stuff and only returned for one episode in season 9 and 3-4 episodes in season 10. clark was better off just getting an apartment in metropolis instead of having to make the trek back and forth to smallville everyday. superspeed or not that is a waste of time. and clark was basically superman already. no he didn't fly but he wasn't being raised by the kents anymore, worked at the daily planet with lois, found the fortress of solitude, knew right from wrong and changed from street clothes into his black t-shirt with trenchcoat, or blue shirt with red leather jacket, depending on the season. they should of ended smallville after season 6 and made a sequel series about clark being superman and called it "METROPOLIS"
@@pishposh1504 but in seasons featuring Lois, Smallville is HINtEd at and He and she is a big part why this show remained the title name of Smallville.
I'm very glad you changed it up the way you did. It annoyed me too that they didn't show Tom in the suit that much. The last episode was somewhat anti-climactic because of it. Thank you!!
MrTwhispers But he sucks as Clark, but it seems that is being remedied in B vs S. FYI - the best is Reeves because he got both roles spot on, that of Clark Kent and as Kal El. Cavill shines his boots any day.
0:34 Now in the original series finale, they could have done a similar shot! With Tom in a CGI suit.
They should just contine Smallville now and call it.......Metropolis!
continue*
Hell Yah, they have a show called: Gotham.
DonLeons Roszavilla I love Gotham I hold onto a hope that Tom will make a appearance in it one day
I think they should just make more of smallville, with tom welling and still call it smallville.
They continued Smallville and called it Arrow as Green Arrow appeared on the show. Then Supergirl which was on Smallville but was called Kara, John Jones (martian manhunter) on Smallville but they changed his name to Hank Henshaw on Supergirl.
That's what should have been in Smallville's Finale.
yes Oliver. say clark's name on loud on his first day as superman. great job
The thing that always bother me about that scene is Clark never had the ability to fly before and a lot of character on the show had it (Martian Manhunter, Kara, Zod, Brainiac). How did he knew it was Clark?
OmarWho no one wouldve acknowledged what oliver said they were busy being shocked from the Apokolips
@@MastarNinja Oliver has eagle eyes so he could see Clark's face as Superman flew past. There, we have now ret-conned how Oliver knew it was Clark.
Why didn't they show that on the last night of Smallville. That was 100 times better then the good ending they gave.
+Fat Mann Because this was not made ;) Some editing and stuff going on here
Fan Made?
+Fat Mann Since the Lana scene remind me of the time Lex had Zod' power I think it is.
Yea, I wondered why was Lana in Smallville? Was she there to bust Clarks chops since she is now a Kryptogirl. Full of Kryptonite. Also why in the scene with her when a guy came up to her she lacked super powers?

For me, this awesome video is the official version now !
Thanks youuuu for your perfect work !

Much better than the version shown on television.
Amazing ending. To be honest, I thought the original version was kind of corny.
This one was just full of awesome.
O melhor super mam de todos tom Welling👏👏
five years ago, I would believe this, nice CGI work with sup returns... Great version!
Better than the original finale. Congratulations for you Amazing work
Sure wish they had Tom in the flash even as clark kent, still be worth watching
Definitely better! Tom Welling really let us down, and I look forward to telling him someday!
Great job for what you had to work with. Congrats!
2:19 best shot of the whole series
i thought i was the only one. It looks like its from the comic though.
But it wasn't Tom though
I love that I'm crying it was truly majestic I wish that they had used an ending so incredible.
I have to say, you did a fair job! I like it!

He could kick Niburu's but like NASA did in 2011. But Niburu was thousands of miles in size in real life.
Come on Clark you can do this... A great piece of directing
+Urban 101 I always wondered how did he even know it was clark.

This is "Superman"!!!!
i wish tom is the one who made a lead role in a big screen,, ,
Nice effort. Wish they had done at least as much in reality.
It was a great efford. A pity they did'nt continue this fantastic serie much better than that supergirl serie.
very very well done
it's me Travis bernardini big fan Smallville returns in 2017
10 times better, could have saved the series credibility
METROPOLIS.... GOOD ONE

This is Travis bernardini big fan of Smallville season 11
What was the track played at the end when clark was looking at the city in the suit?
Daily Planet Under Siege...more at 10.

Lana's scene is from another season, cos she got superpower a few seasons ago
muito boa série está de parabéns
volta Tom Welling's estamos com saudades da serie Smallville
How is it that Lana doesn;t have the power there anymore? She seems human?
+Jermaine Smit That look like when Lex got Zod' power or was possess by him for a short time.
+MastarNinja That's right it wasn't from the same episode
MastarNinja no way different Lana got like a power suite
+Jermaine Smit the lana stuff was from the season 5 finale
Lana got powers in season 8 that scene was in like season 5 that u saw
I still think that Tom Welling should have played as Superman and not Henry Cavil
isso sim e uma miniserie pra assisti👏👏👏
all the fresh beat band all the amazing Spider-Man Robert Peterson
os fã brasileiro espera notícias da 11temporada Smallville

was that suit CGI?
Is it an official alternative ending? I don't remember.

Why did they want to the show he only where the suit in the ending
whats the song on part 3:55
Spencer Adams I honestly don't remember, I've done so long time ago. I only know the title was "tribute" and the author wasn't anyone super-known unfortunately so I don't remember his name. If I'll find it somewhere I'll let you know.
+WidgetArtificialArt Did you ever end up finding the music?
+Joshua Clark its just get back to my head
its armen hambar - tribute
***** Thank you!
+WidgetArtificialArt Spencer Adams is right. This song is awesome. Have you already remember what it´s name is?
chingona edición :D !!
That was some fake extra footage
It's in the description
The series Finally of Smallville was so great. I wish he can play Superman in a TV movie.
fuck yes
That looked cartoony wow. Was Tom Welling not willing to wear The Superman suit even at the end? yikes
Karol, bom dia você tem episódio completo.
And yes the suit is CGI.
where did Lana go?
Lo único que se que klar tenía que tener muchas camisas de repuesto por los botones 🤣🤣🤣
This is how Smallville should've ended.
+Michael Terrell you are sure you have seen the last episod of smallville? Because it is exactly that way it ends. WidgetArtficial has just added some plans
Stephan Action yes I have watched it many times. This ending might be fake but it's a great false ending lol.
+Michael Terrell Tottaly agreed!
+Michael Terrell some things are more logically real than the 'real' screenplay-like this
+Michael Terrell they should at least shown the superman suit half the season 10... or a full season. season of Superman.. but naaah, we got seconds in the series finale -.-
I prefer this version over the original TV Smallville finale. Makes him look more iconic and memorable.
+Fox Bluereaver me too
+Fox Bluereaver it was a legal thing. The studio was prepping Man of Steel and didn't want Tom in the suit.
+Mr Gerrit Bates It's not like they couldn't have customized it for him. As far as I know, it wasn't that he "couldn't" wear the suit, it was that he "didn't want to". He agreed to play the role of Clark as long as they didn't have him wear the Superman suit.
+Fox Bluereaver yes but u don't customize the superman returns suit... They wouldn't even let them touch it because it's a something to be preserved
+ThePandaSupreme Sure, something to be preserved, a memento of a movie that epically failed to live up to the legacy it was supposed to carry on.
I like it. Too bad Tom wasn't chosen to play Supes in the Supergirl series.
or in the movies, last movie I saw him in was draftday or whatever he was a football player going to make the cut
hlauderdale91 the last movie he did is called The Choice
Also, he looks a LOT older now lol
Hes a rather crap actor though
he refused it :/ too bad idk why though
IF ONLY THIS WAS LEGIT, now this ending would have truly been an ending worth the wait
I know. The ending was sooooooo lame. Welling was such a loser for not wanting to actually wear the suit. After 10 friggin seasons!
I miss smallville
Me too, I miss it so much lol
go watch it.
nickiesha lewis I knoooow....but I miss it more, sorry
Bring Him BACK.
Me too! I miss that fantastic shoe!
Clark Kent is the Alter ego.
With love and best regards to Tom Welling, who for so many years played the role of Clark Kent/Superboy/Superman with dignity, talent, and distinction.
Liruzhen
I think his interpretation has been the best
Yes
We may yet get Clark in the suit, at least animated. Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum are down for it. Just waiting for WB to green light it.
+James “king23james” Shannon Thank you!
You're welcome! Mariah Rojas
but the whole reason the show was called smallville is because it was suppose to be about clark being raised in smallville. but after season 6 the show didn't take place in smallville anymore. it was mostly in metropolis but clark still lived at the farm for some reason. which didn't make sense because Jonathan was dead and Martha left to do senator stuff and only returned for one episode in season 9 and 3-4 episodes in season 10. clark was better off just getting an apartment in metropolis instead of having to make the trek back and forth to smallville everyday. superspeed or not that is a waste of time.
and clark was basically superman already. no he didn't fly but he wasn't being raised by the kents anymore, worked at the daily planet with lois, found the fortress of solitude, knew right from wrong and changed from street clothes into his black t-shirt with trenchcoat, or blue shirt with red leather jacket, depending on the season.
they should of ended smallville after season 6 and made a sequel series about clark being superman and called it "METROPOLIS"
coolman9999uk lol, really you thought he was fat?
@@pishposh1504 but in seasons featuring Lois, Smallville is HINtEd at and He and she is a big part why this show remained the title name of Smallville.
Obliviously this is fake but it would've been nice for this to be the ending
I'm very glad you changed it up the way you did. It annoyed me too that they didn't show Tom in the suit that much. The last episode was somewhat anti-climactic because of it. Thank you!!
There will never be a better superman actor than Tom Welling. He is superman.
+Hunter And Darion Yep !!!!!!!!
+Hunter And Darion agreed
+Hunter And Darion TW (and Christopher Reeves) will always be MY Superman... AGREED 100%!!!
+Hunter And Darion Bitch shut the fuck up. Henry Cavill is the better Superman.
MrTwhispers But he sucks as Clark, but it seems that is being remedied in B vs S.
FYI - the best is Reeves because he got both roles spot on, that of Clark Kent and as Kal El. Cavill shines his boots any day.
Still not enough "Tom in the Suit" to me.
I appreciate the original ending, even though it was somewhat disappointing. But this was better.
We need season 11
there is it's continued in comics
+spudplays not in comics, we need real people tho
+Joyce azurin just read the comics its not a big deal
+spudplays where I can get the comics then ?
+Joyce azurin at the comic store
