Hi Cliff, I have watched all your gemology related videos and feel I learn so much from them. You answer so many of my questions with your narration. Your work inspires me and is growing my desire to visit Australia. Both for the beauty and diversity of your country and well as a desire to rockhound and discover my own stones. Your work is beautiful and I am learning the importance of each step in the process. I would love to see some future videos where you are repairing a damaged stone where at some point in the process your stone became damaged say by a crack or chip or where in the process of faceting a defect is discovered and you explain what the options are to correct it and you proceed to do so. Or recutting a discovered poorly cut stone in to a better one. One thing that intimidates me is cutting a tiny stone. People have said that it is easier because you cut less facets. That is the smallest stone you have cut in carat weight? Have a great day Cliff and thank you for sharing your lapidary knowledge with the world. Best regards, Tam
Thank you for sharing. I love watching you create beautiful gems! You are an excellent teacher. I may get to try my hand at lapidary soon. I look forward to more.
Its amazing, im would like to lern how to properly faced a gamestones, not for money Just for plesure, to give my new born Daughter Stone maided by myself 👍🏽
What end are you talking about. The stone was fully cut and polished. It was even on a turntable rotating. Maybe you may wish to look at the vid again and see the finished product. All these positive comments and you can't find the end of the video.
The sequence of you cutting the table is especially helpful
Never in my life have I known that topaz is so beautiful, thank you for letting me know that
Thank you

I like that. You don’t even notice any imperfections in the gem. Good stuff
Thanks John.

Thanks Tam. Smaller gems are easier to facet as there is far less work. But the main reason is that small facets are so much easier to polish.
You do a great job .I enjoyed it.Thanks.

When you were talking about the irradiation, is it possible to cut them gem first and then irritate it to get the color
Yes it can be irradated after cutting. Best done before as heat will expose flaws.

I just watched for 18 minutes to not see the finish? At least the completed one was good enough in the last 30 seconds.
Not sure what you mean? The video is a bit over 15 minutes long.
