Love my p07. And my wife’s 75 compact. You can find p07’s right now rod for well under 500. A steal for that gun in my opinion. Mine is accurate out to 75yds and I’ve even rang an 8inch plate at 100 yrds a few times. Nice video, love cz’s

Just picked up a p07. I wanted a good middle ground between my Beretta and any of the many striker-fired guns I've fired. This gun strikes a perfect balance if you're like me and prefer DA/SA to striker-fired. Having the option of a decocker or a 1911-style, locked and cocked, manual safety is pretty amazing too!

The P07 has been solid for me. I will be adding some Talon grips to it ($25) and milling it for a red dot, but I'd do the milling on the P01 too. The mag compatibility with my P10c was just a bonus. Very good video. Enjoyed seeing these compared.

Get the regular P-01 for the shortest trigger pulls and resets but you’ll need CGW packages which is well worth it. In hindsight I’d buy the regular P-01 instead. I do love my Omega but I just didn’t know what I didn’t know at first. Trust me the reset on the regular CZ 75 P-01 assisted by CGW parts is super sick! I sharing this from experience👍🏾
Appreciate the feedback! The only thing I would say is that the OG P-01 and the right parts makes it easier to get a short and light trigger. The Omega takes a lot of extra tweaking and tuning since it’s got the omega sear assembly which is easier to breakdown but harder to get that crispy tune. With having the 75 sear assembly in the original P-01 it’s a pain to deal with but once everything is in, doesn’t take much more tweaking. I had the CGW trigger kit I did in my first P-01 you will find on the channel and that thing was fire! Took my omega a second to get right but now it’s actually better. Fantastic video and very well done! I have both of these guns too and I love them both (my P01 is not the Omega model)! These are my 2 favorite guns I have and will never get rid of them. I have the P10 C as well and for me the CZ are very hard to beat and the price on these are very affordable. Me personally I can shoot my P01 slightly better than my P07, but they both perform flawlessly!!
I’m a great fan of the CZ P-01 Omega , l love the design and de-cocker system. The trigger system is better than the original P-01. I Cajunized it with Cajun Gun Works trigger system parts kit and other goodies . Had it going on two years.
I’m actually not a fan of the omega system. I think the original p01 has a much better stock trigger and the trigger system is much more tunable to your liking. If you have a rarer manual safety p01, you can convert it to SAO and run it similar to a 1911

Kinda hate when youtube reviews about accuracy on pistols. Unless you're shooting grandmaster you're not going to really be seeing any difference or improvement, even at close range for matches it's not going to really matter. The specific variances between the ergos of each person's hand in relation to the dimensions of that platform and their own personal experience matters way more. p07 is way too smooth from the factory, at least grip tape sets are cheap. 2oz between the two models is always a suprise. Big note is that the p07 can be milled to a full size dot while the cz75s are stuck to smalldots unless you use a plate or that dovetail system. Thanks for producing content! $600 vs $400 is a big deal for some.

IIRC the P07 will have feed issues with 75 magazines. It may fit, but it might not be happy about it. Otherwise kick ass video! I love my P01 Omega, and intend to just practice with it as it is. I may change some things internally but not much else.
Internal upgrades on the Omega are solid. I’ve taken some time with my P-01 Omega and the trigger is crazy good for an Omega trigger. Same with my P-07 too. It’s definitely worth it if you’re trying to make it a close as you can to a Shadow trigger
Very clean video and detailed information. The only thing I would suggest is take your time and slow down. Practice what your going to say, so it comes natural. It just felt you were rushing (which happens if your new to this, imo). Again, good video. Keep it up.... I had P07 was pretty good, just disliked it wasn't optic ready, and felt it was too thick to carry. Like to get my hands on a P01.

I own both, with the exception that the P01 isn’t the Omega. I think you’re splitting hairs between the two, its that close imo. I haven’t spent enough time with the two to say which wins with accuracy, so I cant speak on that. The P07 is slightly lighter, comes with the Omega trigger, mine came with better stock sights imo (although I upgraded both models). The P01 comes NATO tested and approved, has a metal frame, and grips can be upgraded, but out the box is better than the P07 imo, and the slide serrations offer more bite vs the P07. So to me the P01 gets the edge but its real close.

I just wanted a DA/SA with a de-cocker, and no desire to carry cocked and locked, but the DA trigger pull is way more than 10 lbs and it's such a slab of metal, I'll probably never carry it so it's mostly relegated to home defense. But fun to shoot?? Hell yeah! And coincidently I have Lok grips on, with the Omega symbol, though not in the same colors and not the thin ones. Overall, it's a great gun though.

Are your Dawson optic sights adjustable or fixed? Do you like one sight over the other? Thanks for the video. I've had a P-07 for about 5-years and love it. My new 75 P-01 is in the 7-day wait period hell until Friday and I can't wait to pick it up and hit the range, but I know I will want the Dawson optic sights right away.
The Dawson sights for both are fixed but work really well. I prefer to have the battlehook to rack off my belt or any edge easily so I would have to say the P01 sights over the P07. If you love the P07 then the P01 will be great for you. Just to throw that aluminum frame on pretty much the same gun makes a solid difference but also’s super comfortable in hand. Thanks, that was really helpful. :) (Seems like there's no deal-killers involved in any of the compact CZs for me but yaknow, I like CZs. :) Think I'd prefer a little more old school still since I don't really need a light rail, and slimmer up there is nicer for my carry options. :) And don't need the 'omega' option cause decocker is fine and why make the trigger less-good over it. :) (if it's a safety I'd really want it ambidextrous more urgently than with a decocker, so that'd be another bit of hassle anyway.) (Also I really appreciate the way you talk about grips, even if we have really different hands. (In my case it means, 'Yeah, the more Cz-like backstrap would be the way to go. (I have like the palm equivalent of high arches so I like that swoopy backstrap CZs are known for.)
I appreciate the feedback! The grip on CZs is just undeniable nice, definitely once you initially lay hands on them. I’m glad I could be of assistance though. Since you like the classic style guns, why not just go for the DWX compact? Has no light rail to worry about and a slimmer up pretty perfect to carry, ya know. Just to let you know though the omega trigger can definitely be made better than the standard decocker but man does it take some attention to detail. At least in my experience, plus you still get an ambi safety option that takes all of the 2 minutes to swap out. Not too bad to be honest with you. Thanks for watching!
PS. NDZ baseplates?went with the pinky extension version on the 365.1st one I have tried. more better. Only thing I might do to that gun is try an optic. Don’t have one. Have shot with one on a friends ar. Haven’t shot a handgun with one yet. It’s got the cut. Might as well.
With no magazine my CZ P-01 is 23.7 and my P-07 is 24.9. It’s just an oz though and could change depending on which grip material you have such as aluminum or g10. Like you said negligible for sure
At 22:05, is there a problem with the recoil spring on the p01 on the left, it looks different from the p07 on the right like perhaps it is not inserted correctly or is that the way it’s supposed to look?

The P07 is solid! I got the fiber sights from Dawson which were easy to install. And yeah I polished the barrel myself so I could keep the aesthetic across my CZs consistent lol
I’m biased to the P-01 honestly. First CZ I ever purchased so for me that one was the best decision between the two then. Now that I’ve dealt with both I’d still go with the P-01 but the P-07 can really be a beast for a polymer gun. Thanks for watching!
Ive read several complaints about the CZ P01 Failure To Fire. I used to have a slide lock issue and now im having a double feed issue. Anyone figured out the issue?
I heard stuff years ago but nothing as of lately. If you’ve had a Failure to Fire it’s either your striking pin, striking spring, or hammer spring, unless you just got some dud ammo. Slide lock has to do with you slide release or magazine spring tension and follower. If you’ve tinkered with any of those things then that was probably your issue. Since you’re still having a double feed issue now, typically that is still a byproduct of proper mag tension or recoil spring weight unless you feed ramp has been physically obstructed. Other than that if you’ve done absolutely nothing to the gun and it’s stock having all those issues then I would simply just call CZ. They could probably give you specifics if not fix the problem. @speccivilian Thanks for your answer. The gun is less than a year old, and only the sights have been changed. Everything else is stock. The 1st time, I only shot 30 rounds or so. The 2nd time these issues began with the 3rd mag. I'll contact CZ, but the word online is that their customer service and warranty claim process is terrible.
@tsomers01 Yes, although I can not name all the ammo, I have tried 4 different types and have not used any reloads. These failures occurred regardless of the ammo that I used.

The ability to change the decocker to a safety aside, would the Omega trigger be a better purchase over a stock trigger? I would love to have a safety, but I keep hearing that the Omega trigger is a downgrade in terms of shooting over a stock one. One of the reasons popping up is what you mentioned in the video, the long take up.
The OG P-01 is more meticulous but is much easier to try and tune to be close to a Shadow 2 trigger with a super short reset and short take up before hitting the wall. The Omega system takes some big upgrading to try and get the same clean break in the trigger stroke. Even then it’s not the same, not bad just not the same. If you plan on going through an upgrade process then I would just do the OG P-01 if I were you. Check out my P-01 vs Omega video and I go into detail for you
I Was thinking between these two guns as my carry. I want one so I can protect myself as I live in Chicago, and going to be possibly getting a city job as a parking enforcement, and we all know that kind of job can go south with some people so i was looking into maybe the P01 as to me it looks more aesthetically pleasing, and pretty lol, but I wanted to get the upgraded 15 rd flush fit magazine for my piece, and possible future hammer, trigger, and sight upgrades in the future. If anyone has any advice on this please let me know thank you!
Appreciate the feedback! I grew up on the south side of Chicago so I know all too well what you mean. Much respect for even handling that line of work. Both are amazing choices so I get it. The P-01 is definitely more aesthetically pleasing until you realize that the P-07 is the polymer Shadow 2 Compact then it’s start to look a bit better lol The P-07 has the Omega internals which is much easier to clean and maintains while the traditional P-01 is some real work. The P-01 omegas are discontinued so it’s a wrap for those unless you can catch a deal. If you know you’re going to wanna update some things later then one thing I will say is that the P-01 you will have to send off and depending on who you use turnaround time could be ugly. If you have a good gunsmith at your local shop then the P-01 could be a solid choice but if no then the P-07 has a system that is easy enough for most people to update things themselves without fault. Of course if one is not comfortable then by all means use a gunsmith. You can easily get the 15 rounds mags for the P-01 but the new issues should come with 15 rd stock unless you’re getting a CA restriction firearm. The p07 will also take canik mags it just won't lock up. I accidentally ran my sfx mag through mine one day. It worked.

Are your Dawson optic sights adjustable or fixed? Do you like one sight over the other? Thanks for the video. I've had a P-07 for about 5-years and love it. My new 75 P-01 is in the 7-day wait period hell until Friday and I can't wait to pick it up and hit the range, but I know I will want the Dawson optic sights right away.
The Dawson sights for both are fixed but work really well. I prefer to have the battlehook to rack off my belt or any edge easily so I would have to say the P01 sights over the P07. If you love the P07 then the P01 will be great for you. Just to throw that aluminum frame on pretty much the same gun makes a solid difference but also’s super comfortable in hand. Thanks, that was really helpful. :) (Seems like there's no deal-killers involved in any of the compact CZs for me but yaknow, I like CZs. :) Think I'd prefer a little more old school still since I don't really need a light rail, and slimmer up there is nicer for my carry options. :) And don't need the 'omega' option cause decocker is fine and why make the trigger less-good over it. :) (if it's a safety I'd really want it ambidextrous more urgently than with a decocker, so that'd be another bit of hassle anyway.)
(Also I really appreciate the way you talk about grips, even if we have really different hands. (In my case it means, 'Yeah, the more Cz-like backstrap would be the way to go. (I have like the palm equivalent of high arches so I like that swoopy backstrap CZs are known for.)
I appreciate the feedback! The grip on CZs is just undeniable nice, definitely once you initially lay hands on them. I’m glad I could be of assistance though. Since you like the classic style guns, why not just go for the DWX compact? Has no light rail to worry about and a slimmer up pretty perfect to carry, ya know. Just to let you know though the omega trigger can definitely be made better than the standard decocker but man does it take some attention to detail. At least in my experience, plus you still get an ambi safety option that takes all of the 2 minutes to swap out. Not too bad to be honest with you. Thanks for watching!

Facts! The P-01 is killing the P-07 with ergos bar none
I added a set of Talon Pro grips to my P07 and they make a huge difference in how it feels. MUCH better now.

PS. NDZ baseplates?went with the pinky extension version on the 365.1st one I have tried. more better. Only thing I might do to that gun is try an optic. Don’t have one. Have shot with one on a friends ar. Haven’t shot a handgun with one yet. It’s got the cut. Might as well.

The Cz p-07 is lighter than the p-01
P-07 is 27.7 oz and p-01 is about 28.4

With no magazine my CZ P-01 is 23.7 and my P-07 is 24.9. It’s just an oz though and could change depending on which grip material you have such as aluminum or g10. Like you said negligible for sure
At 22:05, is there a problem with the recoil spring on the p01 on the left, it looks different from the p07 on the right like perhaps it is not inserted correctly or is that the way it’s supposed to look?

The P07 is solid! I got the fiber sights from Dawson which were easy to install. And yeah I polished the barrel myself so I could keep the aesthetic across my CZs consistent lol

Great question! The P-07 has mag compatibility to the P-01 but not vice versa. Omega or not, the P-10 mags won’t fit 75 models in general

I’m biased to the P-01 honestly. First CZ I ever purchased so for me that one was the best decision between the two then. Now that I’ve dealt with both I’d still go with the P-01 but the P-07 can really be a beast for a polymer gun. Thanks for watching!

Ive read several complaints about the CZ P01 Failure To Fire. I used to have a slide lock issue and now im having a double feed issue. Anyone figured out the issue?
I heard stuff years ago but nothing as of lately. If you’ve had a Failure to Fire it’s either your striking pin, striking spring, or hammer spring, unless you just got some dud ammo. Slide lock has to do with you slide release or magazine spring tension and follower. If you’ve tinkered with any of those things then that was probably your issue. Since you’re still having a double feed issue now, typically that is still a byproduct of proper mag tension or recoil spring weight unless you feed ramp has been physically obstructed. Other than that if you’ve done absolutely nothing to the gun and it’s stock having all those issues then I would simply just call CZ. They could probably give you specifics if not fix the problem. @speccivilian Thanks for your answer. The gun is less than a year old, and only the sights have been changed. Everything else is stock. The 1st time, I only shot 30 rounds or so. The 2nd time these issues began with the 3rd mag. I'll contact CZ, but the word online is that their customer service and warranty claim process is terrible.
Have you tried different ammo brands? Could it be a crappy ammo issue?
@tsomers01 Yes, although I can not name all the ammo, I have tried 4 different types and have not used any reloads. These failures occurred regardless of the ammo that I used.

I didn’t like the trigger on the p07 at all. I like the 75 compact way more than that gun.
The ability to change the decocker to a safety aside, would the Omega trigger be a better purchase over a stock trigger?
I would love to have a safety, but I keep hearing that the Omega trigger is a downgrade in terms of shooting over a stock one. One of the reasons popping up is what you mentioned in the video, the long take up.
The OG P-01 is more meticulous but is much easier to try and tune to be close to a Shadow 2 trigger with a super short reset and short take up before hitting the wall. The Omega system takes some big upgrading to try and get the same clean break in the trigger stroke. Even then it’s not the same, not bad just not the same. If you plan on going through an upgrade process then I would just do the OG P-01 if I were you. Check out my P-01 vs Omega video and I go into detail for you

I Was thinking between these two guns as my carry. I want one so I can protect myself as I live in Chicago, and going to be possibly getting a city job as a parking enforcement, and we all know that kind of job can go south with some people so i was looking into maybe the P01 as to me it looks more aesthetically pleasing, and pretty lol, but I wanted to get the upgraded 15 rd flush fit magazine for my piece, and possible future hammer, trigger, and sight upgrades in the future. If anyone has any advice on this please let me know thank you!
Appreciate the feedback! I grew up on the south side of Chicago so I know all too well what you mean. Much respect for even handling that line of work. Both are amazing choices so I get it. The P-01 is definitely more aesthetically pleasing until you realize that the P-07 is the polymer Shadow 2 Compact then it’s start to look a bit better lol The P-07 has the Omega internals which is much easier to clean and maintains while the traditional P-01 is some real work. The P-01 omegas are discontinued so it’s a wrap for those unless you can catch a deal. If you know you’re going to wanna update some things later then one thing I will say is that the P-01 you will have to send off and depending on who you use turnaround time could be ugly. If you have a good gunsmith at your local shop then the P-01 could be a solid choice but if no then the P-07 has a system that is easy enough for most people to update things themselves without fault. Of course if one is not comfortable then by all means use a gunsmith. You can easily get the 15 rounds mags for the P-01 but the new issues should come with 15 rd stock unless you’re getting a CA restriction firearm.
