@@machinayrequiem8596Tje thing is though most people who do that are NOT even part of the culture being 'appropriated' 😢. I remember going onto a UA-cam comments section once where they were discussing removing the black caricature pictures from products like the Aunt Jemima brand foods because it's 'racist'. Guess how many black people were in that comments section commenting that they gave a shit? I found NONE. They didn't care and neither do I or any of my black friends. The only people fighting for the pictures to be removed on products were white, blue, orange and every other race except for us African people.

You need to use the fat of the beef for it to really crisp up, if you are just dipping in the juice you will run a higher risk of them turning out soggy.

*dip the tortilla in the fat. Dip them on the grease that rises to the top of your stew and fry them on the grill till crispy. Do not dip them in the actual broth before frying cus that makes the tortillas soggy. If your stew didn’t generate enough fat up top, I would just fry them in a little regular oil.

My gosh, those look so good!! 🌮✨
Yes, they're supposed to be slightly crunchy on the outside but not completely... Try covering them with ONLY the fat instead of dipping them in the juice. That's why you want a really fatty birria.
Also, longer time at a slightly lower temp helps to make them crispy without burning and definitely add the onions and soap... I mean cilantro, after they're done.
I'm NOT an expert, just talking from experience... Anyways, give me tacos!! 😠💖

I recommend doing your beef one day prior then let it cool completely, this will make the meat taste much better plus you’ll be able to remove easily all the fat that sits on top and put it in a plate. Once you are ready to make your tacos, warm the fat you separated, dip the tortilla and then to the grill use it instead of any oil. Works every single time! Hope it helps!!

Maybe leave it on a little longer to get the crispness you want it to be try not to dip the whole tortilla in the juice try to grab more of the fatty oil from the top layer also I prefer the los Comanche tortillas if you have that choice near you.
