It would've made a hell of a lot more sense for Moff Gideon to have been trying to use the cloning tech being developed to resurrect Palpatine to try to clone Maul instead of himself which just felt jarring and disappointing. It would've been poetic irony that what was being used for Palpatine was being coopted to benefit Maul as Maul not only sees it as his right but also since Gideon was so obviously a Maul loyalist. It would've felt a lot more appropriate and been more rewarding for a loyalist to remain loyal, especially for so long.
If we're fantacizing about possibilities for a second return of Maul, a clone of Maul could take the place of Joruus C'baoth in the story with Thrawn. Mauul... That could connect to the story threads about the Empire experimenting with Force-sensitive clones, and it'd make more sense that Palpatine would try to clone Maul than a random Jedi from the Clone Wars. George Lucas also said that he would have brought Maul back for his version of the sequel trilogy, and we can get a taste of that flavor this way. I wonder how they'd retcon it to allow Maul to return, but I think I'm for the idea now.
Can we just have an interesting new character without him being someone we already know? Aren't there trillions of beings in the galaxy... Maul was killed by Kenobi, twice... How many times does a person have to die?
As satisfying as Maul's ending was, I would still very much love more of him and especially if we get to see his true potential more flushed out. I'm glad that someone else has seen what I had been saying since his death: his vengeance against Kenobi was holding him back & clouding his mind from his full potential
Can't believe ya'll missed one way he could come back. Ezra pulled ahsoka thru a portal in the world between worlds and brought her back, if elsbeth or someone else got access to the world between worlds why couldnt they find a portal with maul in it and pull him thru too.
This update is pure "Click Bait" and you should be ashamed of yourselves. Maul returning wouldn't even be fanservice. People who only watch the movies think he's dead. People who watch the animated series, KNOW that he's dead. His return wouldn't please ANYONE!!! Moreover, Kenobi was a weak show, and Season 3 of The Mandalorian was not its finest. The people in charge of the Franchise are NOT idiots. Do they have issues getting their BIG IDEAS to screen, Yes. Book of Bobba was a perfect example of them trying to set the table, but doing it clumsily. Season 4 of Mando is where I expect the most payoff.
Faloni killed Maul in Rebels and he is using that show as his template for Ahsoka. There is no shot he retcons his own show. Maybe in a flashback we see Maul, but he aint alive.
He already kind of did. Ashoka seems more unsure of herself than she did at the end of rebels. Her robes are very distinctly changed and her staff is gone. Showing her character is not like the Gandalf the White reference she was based on in revels. She’s less enlightened in this show than he set up in the end of rebels. Which is fine, it’s a small retcon, but that means he will be willing to retcon things in his own show. That doesn’t mean maul will be the retcon, but just that he could retcon and clearly doesn’t care about 100 percent matching rebels
@@wings31 the rebels epilogue was after the galactic civil war ended. I thought this was supposed to be the same scene. It also wouldn’t make sense for her to wildly regress in enlightenment.
@@RiceCubeTech no, lol. This was years later. The Epilogue happened right after the civil war. Ahsoka trained Sabine then. Something happened, and now Sabine isnt her student anymore. Sabine retreated to Ezra's house, stopped wearing her armor and grew her hair out. About 5 years later is when the Ahsoka show is happening. Ahsoka returns with the map, Sabine cuts her hair and they go off again. It was just a homage to the original Rebels ending that it happened at the same place
I do believe the the man behind the literal knights helmet is Kanan Jarrus - the night sisters could bring him back; don’t ask why they should or would do… But it makes sense in terms of storytelling- they force his son on us quite a bit, and not in a „he is cute and our mascot“ kind of way. And the blind guy probably is the one able to see through this ridiculous helmet
@@jeffkidd2959 I said it definitely isn’t one that would withstand poking holes in it 😂 - but the fact that his son is so present and they need a plottwist once Ezra returns …
Imagine Maul as a dark side force ghost with a hatred for Jedi and Sith(Kenobi and Sidious in particular) who believes entitled to rule (like his criminal underworld syndicate). He now strives to overtake the broken empire or serves as a dark side temptation, but on the side of the Republic. A spirit haunting Ahsoka of her traumas(order 66, etc.). Could be an interesting story.
When maul says to Ezra they could have been brothers that one time, he looks so vulnerable that I really can't tell if he's trying to trick him or if he's a broken man looking for attachments.
The real question is where is Mace Windu? If Maul can survive being cut in half and falling a half mile down, Im sure Mace can survive a little window toss
Don't think they'd want to undercut that perfect ending he had with Obi-Wan. Plus all the characters and deep canon references are already confusing enough for average viewers. Ya'll are reading into things too much...
Another way that Maul could come back is if Ahsoka or, if she finds him, Ezra gets back into the World Between Worlds via a temple like the one we saw in many episodes of Rebels as well as Episode 1 of Ahsoka. Then one of them yoinks Maul out/in right before his confrontation w/Obi-Wan. Since this was how Ahsoka, a Jedi (for all intents & purposes) was saved from being killed by a Sith, Vader; it'd be kind of neat to see a mirror image of that. A Sith is saved from his own death at the hands of a Jedi (Obi-Wan). I really think we'll see The World Between Worlds again, simply because it looks like the background of the Ahsoka series logo.
Morok is darth maul. Palpatine has returned. Ezra Bridger is Thrawns new Sith apprentice and Thrawn is force sensitive. Rey shows up as a child and stops Maul Thrawn and Ezra. Sabine becomes trans and changes her name to ezra
You mean The Force Unleashed video game. We don't talk about the second game. Actually the best part of the second game was the dlc content with Leia. I think Maul needs to stay dead. It makes the scene with Obi-Wan so much better.
The problem with every Star Wars theory is that every fan takes them to heart hoping and knowing that they won’t come to fruition. Then they blame Kathleen Kennedy and continue watching whatever is pumped out next. Toxic cycle
It would be great if Filoni bring back George Lucas original ideas for the sequels. Maybe Darth Maul couldn't return, but the concept about a galaxy without law, a crimelord making a chaos, Darth Talon as the new Vader, the offspring of the Skywalkers, and the mysteries of the Force could be part of a new Skywalker Saga trilogy.
Interesting but terrible theory that would completely destroy the poetic death of Maul. If Morgan Elsbeth is to resurrect someone, it should be Malicos from fallen order. From what I remember he should still trapped in the ground of dathomir.
I can handle Maul returning. I welcome him back. I’m very excited right now just thinking of the possibilities….I will go to bed tonight and have another reason to live and awake tomorrow in the hopes this may or may not happen….
just imagining how fucking nifty it would be if Maul was revealed to be some sort of incarnation of Death itself, a kind of Reverse Chosen One, a dark side reflection of the Skywalkers, and by extension, Ahsoka. his presence is meant to instigate awakenings in the Force and test the strength of light side users, hence his appearance all over the timeline in so many Star Wars stories. heck, each time he dies, he dies on the respective home planets of Luke and Leia's parents. each time, killed by the same man. but he's a loyal servant of the dark side, so the dark side brings him back again and again, to fulfill his role in keeping balance. that'd be neat.
Here is a crazy idea - Marrok might be Darth Maul's brother. In the clone wars - Count Dooku needed another apprentice after betraying the dark sister as Savage Opress or Feral.

This is absolutely ridiculous. And Maul is my favorite character. Now if you said Marrok is possibly Maul’s apprentice…
Nice to hear another voice on the channel, this one is a little easier on the ears especially with headphones.
Can we just have an interesting new character without him being someone we already know? Aren't there trillions of beings in the galaxy... Maul was killed by Kenobi, twice... How many times does a person have to die?
You all need to remember that this is Dave Filoni. He’s not going to do anything that stupid.
Dave supports the acolyte so yes he got no problem doing stupid things
That would be crazy if Maul returned
I heard a couple months back of a leak of him and ahsoka in a desert. I think it might be real.
Or maybe that Darth Maul was a clone of the original Darth Maul like a reference to the cancelled Star Wars game, Battle of the Sith Lords.
it was clearly a fan film@@ev1627
Bring my boy back! He shouldn’t have died that easily.
As satisfying as Maul's ending was, I would still very much love more of him and especially if we get to see his true potential more flushed out. I'm glad that someone else has seen what I had been saying since his death: his vengeance against Kenobi was holding him back & clouding his mind from his full potential
I agree
There's plenty of backstory to tell when he's running the Shadow Collective, and the Crimson Dawn. No need to bring him back from the dead....again.
I would rather see a series of movies post Solo with Crimson Dawn featuring Kira & Maul
Can't believe ya'll missed one way he could come back. Ezra pulled ahsoka thru a portal in the world between worlds and brought her back, if elsbeth or someone else got access to the world between worlds why couldnt they find a portal with maul in it and pull him thru too.
Fingers crossed we get Darth Talon.
@@RiceCubeTech ahsoka is just older. It's been 5 years or so since the Rebels epilogue. She's changed. It's not necessarily a retcon
@@wings31 the rebels epilogue was after the galactic civil war ended. I thought this was supposed to be the same scene. It also wouldn’t make sense for her to wildly regress in enlightenment.
@@wings31 it’s why Sabine had the exact same haircut, the same color scheme on her armor and the three taps on the painting.
What body would they use lol his was definitely vaporized in the explosion
@@jeffkidd2959 I said it definitely isn’t one that would withstand poking holes in it 😂 - but the fact that his son is so present and they need a plottwist once Ezra returns …
That's waaaaaay more interesting than bringing Maul back.
Maul was reconciled with Kenobi in the end though.
Nope. No ghosts.
Mandalorian cloning cylinders are going to "Pet Sematary" Maul into Snoke.
Isn't it well established that dark side users can't return as ghosts without being attached to an object
When maul says to Ezra they could have been brothers that one time, he looks so vulnerable that I really can't tell if he's trying to trick him or if he's a broken man looking for attachments.
Yeah I really think he loved Savage at the end at least and that he misses him he probably misses mother Talzin as well
Great video. When you guys read a script and don't adlib into saying " You know what I mean?" It makes for a very strong presentation. Keep it up.
The real question is where is Mace Windu? If Maul can survive being cut in half and falling a half mile down, Im sure Mace can survive a little window toss
You forget the electrocution. He was long dead before being launched from the office. Sidious knew he was dead.
@@trillionbones89 somehow palpatine has returned ? 😂
They miss their opportunity to bring him back in force awakens could’ve been related to Finn …but instead they made Rey the hero
Without defending Rise Of Skywalker I'll just say that essence transfer is something Sidious used in the EU.@@jonnycashh3876
Snoke is Maul.
Ryan said so.
Bacta was released by the Galactic Food and Drug Administration the week after Qui Gon was killed. Maul may have scored some early black market bacta.
You're really reaching here screencrush
Don't think they'd want to undercut that perfect ending he had with Obi-Wan. Plus all the characters and deep canon references are already confusing enough for average viewers. Ya'll are reading into things too much...
Maul is dead. Period.
I don't think we'll see Maul comeback, but the ideas here are really interesting and could make for fun fanfic
I think it’s gonna happen. It’s mauls curse. Also there was a leak a while ago that looks very legit. And he’s there with ahsoka.
@@ev1627 well if is true it's true. I'm personally just gonna wait for all the episodes to come out.
@@ev1627 That leak was a set photo of a fan film
that was not legit it was probably a fan film@@ev1627
You really think Dave Filoni would cheapen the ending he gave to Mail by bringing him back?
Only if Darth Kennedy is forcing him to reveal Snoke is Maul to tie up all the loose ends.
Maul with Plagueis! Let’s go!
Screencrush, make up your mind: less than a week ago, you guys were sure Marrok was Ezra 😂
THANKS for this, SC Crew!!!!
Morok is darth maul. Palpatine has returned. Ezra Bridger is Thrawns new Sith apprentice and Thrawn is force sensitive. Rey shows up as a child and stops Maul Thrawn and Ezra. Sabine becomes trans and changes her name to ezra
*Colton hits a huge bong rip of THC, DMT and PCP*
Colton: So anyway Maul is coming back
Coming back to support my comment after the finale and support Colton get the rehab and help he deserves because, my god, he was so so wrong
Mual is the heir to the empire
You mean The Force Unleashed video game. We don't talk about the second game. Actually the best part of the second game was the dlc content with Leia. I think Maul needs to stay dead. It makes the scene with Obi-Wan so much better.
The problem with every Star Wars theory is that every fan takes them to heart hoping and knowing that they won’t come to fruition. Then they blame Kathleen Kennedy and continue watching whatever is pumped out next. Toxic cycle
It would be great if Filoni bring back George Lucas original ideas for the sequels. Maybe Darth Maul couldn't return, but the concept about a galaxy without law, a crimelord making a chaos, Darth Talon as the new Vader, the offspring of the Skywalkers, and the mysteries of the Force could be part of a new Skywalker Saga trilogy.
magik with a k is how the witches and occultist use it
Interesting but terrible theory that would completely destroy the poetic death of Maul. If Morgan Elsbeth is to resurrect someone, it should be Malicos from fallen order. From what I remember he should still trapped in the ground of dathomir.
Definitely a stretch but I get having fun just tossing it out there
Darth Maul is one of the only characters i like in Star Wars.....kinda pisses me off that he keeps getting killled off 😤
Marrok is not Starkiller. Youre deliberately ignoring who's credited as playing Marrok to fit your theory.
Yup
It's not Maul it's your mom....
this would be great vid Colton
can we get a little more Colton? Lol
he’s great
That was a brilliant hand off. 🔥😂
Keeping your bud lined with voice work checks is pretty cool tbh
The was always something very special about Maul addressing Ahsoka as, "Lady Tano".
That doesn't feel like Star Wars tho I mean the Mortis gods in one thing but a random Sith becoming death itself? That sounds weird
Here is a crazy idea - Marrok might be Darth Maul's brother. In the clone wars - Count Dooku needed another apprentice after betraying the dark sister as Savage Opress or Feral.
Both died tho and we know now that Marrok was a nobody
The witches are totally gonna do a seance with Darth Maul! Maybe Ashoka & crew uses the Magick in a twist?
Many thanks for this video!
It would make more sense to resurrect savage opress
I’ve never seen a full Colton episode, and altho I disagree with Maul coming back, I really enjoyed it. Great job Colton! (Psssst… you’re being held captive in a TV)
Thank you! The last part of your message cut out, the part in parenthesis. The video store wifi is blurring it out for some reason.
@@TheTotalRecap 😅😭 Now that I think about it, don’t worry about it. If things stay the same, we get more Colton content and that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make 😬😈🤷🏽♀️ What can I say, the dark side is strong in me lol
I am only okay if Maul is simply a "voice from the grave" type of thing
Maul, as the only apprentice Sidious deemed worthy to axtually train knew abot essence transfer. Thats what we saw eaxh time he and Ezra Merged... He found his own way to cheat death. The Fact Sabine had been possessed by a Nightsister witch means that it is possible Sidious Heir is still inside Ezra, explaining why he removed Thrawn
The night sister ghost is how Kanan was able to temporarily become a Force Ghost and Kenobi carried a piece when Maul died too
