Alan, awesome vid as always!! Loved the climbing footage, a lot of bike videos don’t show the fun banter when your climbing, & riding & keeping up with Tommy, Good stuff! Now, off to see Tommy’s video!! 👍👍🔥🔥
😆 Thanks! Hope you dig the channel. Joe (Calirado Kid) is a fun dude. If you wanna see some Joe in my neck of the woods: ua-cam.com/video/GYovkcBNV_M/v-deo.html
I always say if you want to get better, follow someone better! Whether it's speed or style, it's the quickest way for me to improve. You got some nice dividends on this ride!
Bro you was sending it Tommy and his crew are insanely fast and you was right there with them sketchy lines and all 💪🏾 respect 💪🏾. This was dope looking forward to the next one 🤙🏾💯
Naw. You’d have to make the chain short enough to cause the derailleur cage to hit its limit to make that happen, and by that point, the hanger would probably break anyway. I removed one link which isn’t enough to make a real difference to the suspension. Still replaced the chain with a new one though.
@@mtb_alan I guess because it was cause of the derrairleur, once I broke it and my dad tried to cut the chain so it would be fixed gear and I could at least pedal but that basically locked my suspension up so I removed the chain
Ah yeah. If you remove the derailleur and go direct chainring to cassette, the suspension can’t move. Actually, that sets you up to snap your chain again anyway, so it was good you removed the chain. 👍🏾
Hey Alan, where did you get that wrist guard? I recently fractured my radius, and would love to wear something like that when I’m back on the trails. TY!
Yo! Sorry to hear. Healing vibes. 👊🏾 I have had that wrist brace for about a year now. I had one of the worst wrist injuries you can get (dislocated lunate), and that wrist guard has been the shizz. It's the Mobius X8 (amzn.to/3rJOsUs). I love that thing.
I always tell myself the climbs make me a better/stronger rider and whatever I gain on a climb carries over to other mountain biking skills... no idea if it's true or not, but that's what I tell myself, LOL! At least there can be no denying that it burns calories pretty quick. Also, just out of curiosity, was that the original chain or no?
Ha! I think the main thing climbs do to help my skills is get me to the top so I can descend. 😅 Yeah. Original chain so about a year old. Probably was time to change it.
Correction: Rock-it Garden PR was -3 seconds. Not -6 seconds.
Thanks for the heads up MTB MOR.
Gotta Love Tommy and how fast he is! Much respect for keeping up with them! :D
Yew!
Super fun day 🤘🤘🤘 stoked to ride with you again, hope to do it again soon 👌
Heck yeah man! Thanks for letting me tag along. And indeed...again soon!
I’m impressed how well you kept up with them. I’m always amazed at how fast Tommy and crew are. Good vid! 👊
Thanks Bobby! Tommy, Kyle, and Hunter cook. 🚀
Lookin good Alan. Tommy is FAST!!!! That's what happens when you have no brakes installed on your bike. :)
LOL! Right?
Yeah...it's been a while since I rode with Tommy, so it was good to get some perspective on speed.
Hahaha, outro music was on point! Glad to see you down in our neck of the woods! I need to head to Aliso for sure.
LOL! Sometimes you just gotta DIY. 😆
Aliso is a bit of a drive for me, but it's always a good time!

Ha! Thanks Richard. 🙏🏾
Just found your channel via Calirado kid, the lost chain section was brilliant! lol

Epic day! Thanks for having me in your vid!
Heckin' A, man! Was rad to ride with you. By the way, what brand of sweatshirt were you wearing? 👀
@@mtb_alan It's a limited edition YT sweater. We no longer make it : (
🙏🏾

Well said!
Indeed. I always up my riding with Tommy.
Wreckless Riders is an awesome group. Tommy and Big booty Chris are awesome. Glad to see you out ridding with them.
Heck yeah! Always a good time with Tommy and crew.

Ha! Thanks. I wish I was keeping up with them. But I did get a little closer. Woot! 🤘🏾
DAMN- You guys were going FAST 💨 . Got to check all your bolts after shredding like that.
😆 Good idea. 🔧
Fun place to ride.. will have to hit next trip down again
Definitely! Hit me up if you want to get some laps. 🤘🏾
Nice of Rob Warner to do a little chain commentary.
😆 Don't forget Claudio.
I think the same thing would happen to most of us if we joined your crew. Did I see that right? -6 seconds on the rock garden?
🤘🏾😆 It was like -3 seconds in the Rock-it rock garden.
Looks like I made a typo.
@@mtb_alan That's still pretty big....I'd be stoked with half that.
🤘🏾
love the new outro music
🎤😆
Hey didn’t the suspension feel hard when you put a shorter chain back on?
Naw. You’d have to make the chain short enough to cause the derailleur cage to hit its limit to make that happen, and by that point, the hanger would probably break anyway.

@@mtb_alan That sounds gnarly!! Glad you're back out shredding!
Thanks, I'll have to check it out! -Cheers

Egad you all are fast! 🔥✌🏼🤟🏼
I was just trying to keep up. And tbh, I think Tommy and crew were chilling. 😆
Does anyone know then brand of the Sweatshirt that I believe “hunter” is wearing at minute 9:38?
I messaged Hunter and will let you know when I do.
@@mtb_alan thank you
Hunter was wearing a YT sweatshirt that's no longer available.
@@mtb_alan dam it!!!! Ok thanks bud keep that RAD content coming!!!
Will do!
Where is the bronson?
Probably in its owner’s garage.
yewww🤘
🤘🏾
I’d rather go up Cholla three times before I go up Mathis once…
😅 I prefer the long way through Canyon View Park. But it was good to mix it up.
