@Adam LB You are real issue to this issue when you don’t have idea what happens to SCS. US isn’t part of SCS but US isnt having a share or isn’t proximate in SCS, that’s hypocritical. malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines reclaimed islands in SCS, and many years later China followed, when US objected, President Xi proposed an offer to Obama to demilitarize SCS, yet Obama didn’t take the offer but instead sent the military troops to SCS, and so China then followed by sending the troops. Anything wrong?

China will win this geopolitical contest, America started this contest, not China, China has a meritocratic political system, and due to nature of it's political system, China is able to think & plan strategically for the long term, that gives China a big advantage over America's political system, where politicians that wins a presidential election, immediately think on how to win a 2nd term in office, because of that, it doesn't allow for long term planning, but rather short term thinking & policies, and also the US political system has become a plutocracy, where the rich & big business hold sway in the US Congress to detriment of the ordinary Americans, China is set to overtake the US as the no1 economy in the world within 10 years, so with these factors, China will win this geopolitical contest for sure

When this book was written, nobody in the world would have guessed that the US would resort itself to a military solution to keep its No.1 position. I think Kishore might need to write an Appendix to his book in the next edition. People will be very interested to read his scenario on this.
I heard a lot of talks from KM. I’m constantly impressed by his knowledge and insights. In this talk, I’m particularly impressed by his pragmatic view on the HK matters and Beijing’s trade off between the wills of 1.4bn of ppl and 7m in HK.

Good analysis. In my opinion, China operates more like a corporation/business house focusing on growth, increasing market share and prosperity. China is also very strategic and has long-term plans in place and is executing them flawlessly. Chinese leaders are open to suggestions and are willing to listen and rectify their mistakes. It would immensely help China if they adhere to international trade agreements and patent laws, not ignore human development and put a strong emphasis on ethics. China will work with any one and any country as long as their economic interests are not jeopardized.

If Asian countries are what Kishore claims them to be, aspired to be civilised, top, able to resolve differences without resorting to violence and with pride, then all Asian countries or large majority shoild be mature enough to sort themsslves out, yes it will be painful, time consuming etc... otherwise it is no different to a bunch of kids trying to convince others that they are matured and exprienced adults, however would run to a true adult for help if there is a disagreement within the group.
