We called sea robins “sally growlers” up in Monmouth County,back in the day. I found a French recipe for them in a fish chowder, which was delicious. The meat held up well in the broth.

Bro. Hear me out!!! Blue fish fillets, wipe a TINY bit of mayo on it. Italian dressing and crush up ritz crackers and cover it. Tent foil and grill till it flakes apart!!!!! WICKED good!
Some soak in milk, some marinate. I haven’t heard of yours before man. That is really interesting. If you ever want some blues come on down!! 👌
Try wrapping the sea robin in aluminum foil and grilling it. Grill it with charcoal or wood (no propane). It is delicious and simple. Thanks for the video. Tight lines

Really good video you can definitely cook but from one fisherman to another stop pumping your rod when you reel in fish you’ll lose a lot less fish P.s I’m still never eating blue fish lol
Hey Joseph thank you for watching. I hear you. I find short pumps help get leverage at times. Barbless hooks is another story. But constant pressure is always key. You should try a blue!

What do you do with your extra rods on the beach and isn’t it a chore to carry extra when walking the beach? May I ask which beach this is? Water looks brown
Yes, it is definitely a chore carrying gear but It’s the price you pay to carry what you need. I usually pack an extra sand spike and use that when I’m fishing. I try not to blast the spots out, hope you understand. But it is a Jersey beach for sure! Thanks for watching.
Butter milk soak …. Flour egg batter … any fish will taste good with this process …. Worked at a fishery in Jersey growing up through college as well . Can’t beat that dredge
