I️ really like how this season, the most expensive dishes aren’t only expensive due to gold and/or truffles, but rather the quantity and quality of the food. $30 for that whole fish? That’s such a good deal.

I was expecting tacos with flakes of gold and truffles. I'm glad that I was wrong and they show a lot of Mexican dishes that people in the States do not have idea that exist.
That fish could probably feed a family of four but at holbox, you can only get 5 tacos for the same price.

in nayarit a hole fish is up to 10 bucks, zarandeado style at the san blas bay a really lovely place.
Im no expert but My guess on why its not too expensive its cause the ingredients are local and dont need to be imported, no excessive condiments so the prices can be kept low plus the self serving of the last food. in new york this stuff would have all kinds of preservatives, have to be imported from costal areas or specialized fish farms and cost 3 times as much

But it really is better (at least for me) as it has more flavor and the texture is better too. The only problem is that it only tastes good when it's fresh unlike chicken which can be stored for quite a while and still taste good.

That is seemingly all last season was. 500 fried chicken, 130 pork belly sandwich, and so on. It was ridiculous. This season is so much better already. More realistic for the normal person.

Lately I've been seeing Andrew looking at Steven with such warm eyes when they talk to the chefs ( for example 11:27). Eyes dont lie (unless your acting is that good...). Its like you can tell he really cherishes Steven as a friend, as he smiles more and acknowledges Steven for good humour (3:27). We all know he had an A+ character development, but I still went back to their first pizza clip and yeah he didnt look at his partners that much, and when he did, its seemed like the look that you would give to a stranger.
He used to be there just for the food, but now he wants to taste the food as part of the crew. I'm no psychology major so this is just a personal point of view based on observations.

I actually agree with him. It's not to say that fried fish is inherently better than fried chicken, but I would prefer non-fried chicken over non-fried fish most of the time assuming they both were cooked well, therefore fish is better fried.
