Greg, let me say this ( I am 50+YO man) when I was a kid I always dreamed to one day have a friend that I can seat in a rocking chair and just enjoy the time as he recap the glorious days and experience, that’s exactly what I have in this episode you on the hammock going back 1980’s adventures and move around continents… absolutely amazing you’re a guys full of wisdom and we are blessed that you share with us all that on this thing called “internet/UA-cam/social media 😂 God bless you man, God bless your heart. Happy new year buddy.
I absolutely love this series. You and Amos are a great combo 💪🏻 good job! When I saw you in Hawaii with zack I was like hmmm maybe I’ll check out his channel and turns out I love your adventures and I’ve loved watching these videos I know you’ll need your rest after this but I can’t wait for another 30 day challenge! Keep it up Greg
Female salmon jump up and splash in order to loosen up their eggs for a easier mating. You are correct basically part of their mating. Great series Greg!
I'd LOVE to see you guys do another one of these. I know it takes a lot out of you and it's probably pricy, but man, I LOVE watching these. You're both so resourceful and use the land to your advantage. Thank you for sharing your fantastic journey with us!!
Greg, You keep great company! Amos is a super cool happy dude and always has a smile on his face that's contagious! Enjoying your adventures very much from West Michigan.
Wow, I can’t help but notice, fin seems to want to help Greg, his such a good dog, and this adventure is one of the Best ever, I love it a lot, very helpful, ✨
Best combo ever, I absolutely love your videos Greg as soons as I'm finished with your videos here in vancouver im gonna watch all Amos view of the challenge, thanks to you both
Hey Greg, the reason those salmon are jumping is because they are trying to loosen the eggs before going up to spawn. And salmon do not usually eat top water Flys or bugs. Mostly small fish. That's why the lures work so well. or a cut plug herring also is great. Awesome video's. Keep it up !
You are my new hero!! I wish I could be half the man you are!! Please keep the videos comin🤗 You’ve taught me a lot and I’m ready for more. Thank you!! 🤙🏼
im loving those adventure stories you are sharing. feels like when your grandpa telling you some amazing stories of his life and you're there listening and getting amazed.
The reason the fish jump other than for flies is to see what rapids and shallow parts are up ahead for them to get up the river and spawn. I live really close to a salmon and sea trout river and when people catch them it's just by chance of them going for the lure as it passes past their nose when they are running up the river. You do catch them when they are stuck in pools until the next flood because they are feeding and building their energy up for the next run.❤️💛💚
Another theory I've often heard is that the salmon jump and flop on their bellies to help loosen up the eggs in preparation for spawning but I don't know how true all that is.
@@socalrcr ok that's interesting but we will never know! I don't think it will be true or all fish would be doing it. Trout only jump for flies. cheers 👍❤️💛💚
Hahaha its so awesome to FEEL the energy kick you guys got from the success and the delicious sustenance. I'm literally going to eat some fresh fish tomorrow.
I really love these challenges and the 30 day challenge videos are the best. Also Amos ❤️ is an awesome partner with Greg. You guys are great together out there in the bush. Of course ❤️❤️ for Finn🐕🦺🐾

Hello Greg, love the videos and always waiting for the next. Just a bit of insight on the salmon jumping but not not feeding, the females jump and land in their sides to break up the eggs in their skanes so they can come out one by one. Cheers
51:00 Greg, I think it is hilarious that you we're saying, wouldn't that be something if I caught a 200lb Halibut in this thing.... then you proceed to catch a baby Halibut, but didn't even know it was one, calling it a flounder, lmao!
I'm sure you got this comment already somewhere, but man... You and Amos make a great team. I would love to see you 2 team up again on another 30 day challenge. or build some bushcraft things together
@TEᒪEGᖇᗩᗰ ᗰE@ovensrockymountainbushcraft Greg and Amos are 2 really great guys and here you are being predatory to their fans trying to scam them... Do you have no shame? You have to be better than this. Somewhere deep inside, you have a talent gifted to you by God. Go do that to make your money instead of harming innocent people.
Yeah that fish was a sole. They don't get very big. I believe they would be good eating though. Fin was sure president with the fire wood! What s great adventure this has been!
@@williambenner701 No! Because of high amounts of pollution and industrial waste, flatfish varieties like sole fish are more likely to contain dangerous contaminants that could wreak havoc on health. Studies analyzing biomarkers of contaminant exposure have found that Flatfish 'Sole' fish in some areas may be exposed to high amounts of polycylic aromatic hydrocarbons, toxic chemicals associated with damage to the DNA and cancer development. So it's highly advisable to never eat any 'bottom feeding' fish of any sort.
I believe those are Sand Dabs. Great eating fish. And don't think they get too much bigger than that. That could have been an opportunity to get some delicious meat in the frying pan! Love the series! Great job guys
I'm sure I heard you and Amos say you'd stay out there until we got sick of watching right? :) Amos is such a generous person, what a nice gift of his bow he gave you Greg.
