    Nice having the ladies join you guys!! Well done! You guys are awesome. Have only been following you since the last Sturgis trip, and being somewhat of self proclaimed Wild West historian, you guys have me pulling my old books out. Getting older now and have forgotten a lot of it, but you guys in your journey's have me reading again ~! Look forward to doing a ride down your way someday soon! Kindest regards Craig Reeves Vancouver Canada

    Hey guys. On your future trips and videos and you guys do a gas stop show price per gallon. I for one would like that aspect. I know when my wife and I did long distance touring it was interesting to see how some areas fuel cost differ.

    I haven't had a chance to watch this yet, as I just subbed to your channel. I found it because I was searching for FXR-P or T fairing on a Road King and I found your install and 3k mile review. Great video by the way, but I don't have the tools nor the time, but I do have a great mechanic.
    I've been wanting to do this to my 18 Road King for a while now. I know that Klock Works and similar company's even H-D have them for $2k. How many hours of labor do you think I will be looking at ? Do you think I should do the bars at the same time? Although, I love the way the stock bars are, and the way my bike handles. I have the Standard 2018 not the Special. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance !!!

      What's up Daren, thanks for tuning into the channel!
      This is all personal preference, but I would much rather take care of the bars first then prioritize the fairing. Not only will the fairing look a lot better with some bars and risers, but for us we feel the bike handles and maneuvers so much better with a set of bars set up just for you, rather than being too wide, too far, and wiggly rubber mounted.
      This is just a rough estimate, but if the fairing is already painted, the install itself should take no more than 2 hours for a mechanic that knows what they're doing. The first time we installed it for a test fit without filming, it took under 1hr. The bars on the other hand may take a little longer as there is a bit more wiring involved. Another thing to consider is if you decide to keep the stock bars and throw the fairing on first, doing bars down the road will require more disassembly given you'd have to remove the stock nacelle and access wiring with the fairing on, whereas road kings are much simpler to install bars out without a fairing.
      Hopefully that wasn't too much of a ramble and makes sense. Let us know when you want to pull the trigger on bars or fairing, or anything else. We've got it all at 2lanelife.com
      If you have other questions, feel free to email me at josh@2lanelife.com and we'll get it figured out👍

      @@2LaneLife Thank you so much Josh, for taking the time to write all of that out. I think you're right, about doing the bars 1st, if there is so much work involved to do it after the fairing. You have a loyal follower from here on out. Thanks again & Ride Safe. PS. How high can go, without having to change wiring around? 9' 10' 11" ? What do they consider stock size? I'm 5'10 if that helps.

    • @2LaneLife
      @2LaneLife  11 місяців тому +1

      You got it, happy to help. I went with 9.5" pullback risers and high bend bars (5.5" rise) for a total height of 14" from the tree with slack to spare in the wires/cables and no extensions needed. For a stock road king special, you'd have no issues at 14" or under. I'm 5'8" and at that height my hands sit just below heart height so no numb fingers on long haul rides. The most popular combo we sell is 9.5" pullback risers with mid bend (4" rise) thrashin bars@@darenc4459

    While it's a fact that they're not CE rated and very likely all from the same manufacturer (not that I care where they're made), all major companies use "influencers". Nike would've never sold that many basketball sneakers without MJ. It's how many do business and it works. But YN also has an online store where he sells gear that equal entries to giveaway bikes. So, while some of his statements are true, it looks really bad, like he could have his own interest in mind. 🤷🏽‍♂️
