I'd love a project planning video! I've not found a good beginner friendly project planning anything. And I've looked, but usually there's a lot of jargon and they don't break down simple concepts that are totally alien to me. I love how you explain things, so I'd find it super helpful!

I would love more on project planning. Social media boundaries definitely spoke to me and anything you’d like to share about your journey would be great.
Also, have you ever thought on doing a video about your media consumption and providing links/lists? Your book choices are great and I’d love to hear about your top recommendations or Goodreads and also about who you find value from for productivity and health online.
Thanks for all you do. Balancing (whatever that is 😂) both work and UA-cam work is hard and you make a huge difference.

A couple of the things I'm working on/towards are things it's impossible to set goals for, because they are embryonic. I don't know enough about how they're going to evolve as I continue to work on them to be able to set meaningful goals. But choosing which projects to focus on that will move me forward in these areas is totally doable! I'm already doing that, and this video gave me some clarification and validation. Thank you!

Omg I loooove the yearly goals and how it was broken down! And yes I would LOVE to see a more in depth video on project planning and implemention into daily life. I’m a freelancer - I’d love to hear your tips. Thanks for the informative videos!

I would change the deeper meaning from „Motivation“ to „Inner Picture“, from „Difficulty“ to „Have fun in growing“ and „Planning“ to „Count only to 3“. That‘s how the goal game works for me. Why?
The inner picture is necessary to believe in what you want to achieve. If you cannot imagine it, you cannot work towards it. One can reduce difficulty (and that‘s an important step, too, for sure!), but in my experience the key is, that you reduce anxiety from complexity or aversion against failing. Growth mindset is what you need as a contrast. Last but not least: I plan a lot, in my job, too. But private goals work a bit different I find. They are „optional“ (important, but often not urgend). So what you need is a strong limit of private goals that you are committed to at the same time. 3 is good here: Three goals max, three subgoals max. That‘s it. Always. This way you agree on a contract with your inner self - if you stick to it, trust will grow within you and adventure feeling takes over. :)

I came across the song “I like Mondays” by Taylor Bickett in iTunes today. Really resonated and reminded me of this video.
We aspire to great things, we fail, we get back up and start again tomorrow. Thankfully, we have Mondays, first of the month, blank planner spreads, and new ways to try again. Thank you for sharing! 😅 Really enjoy your content.

Love this! I am retired and enjoy learning from your videos. I have always been uncomfortable with setting goals. This language and approach breaks down my emotional barriers.

I love projects over goal setting! Mine look a little different. Right now I have a goal to get better at a programming language, I've signed up for an online course and my 'project' is just to complete the course. I don't set deadlines (that just makes me miserable) and instead think about - how fast can I get this done? I of course have a tracker in my paper planner where I'm filling in boxes as I go so I'll be able to see the page fill up.
I am doing a project for March to move (walk or run) 3 miles every day for the whole month. I'm historically terrible at this sort of thing, but my approach this time is to keep is EASY and playful (a word I got from you, Rachelle). Streaks are a fun way to do a project, and also I love walking (and sometimes running) so it's not like I'm forcing myself to do something I don't like (*cough* weight lifting *cough*)

How do you know these things? This chain value->ambition->project is very eyes opening.

Hi Rachelle, this is very interesting and insightful, thank you for sharing!!! I would love to hear more about your process. I'm trying to adapt it to my 2024 goals/values and I'm getting a bit confused in the process. For example, where would 'milestones' go? ie I want to become more financially conscitious (value), so I want to save money (ambition) and for that I will limit getting take out to 5x a month (project), which I'll set aside a budget and tasks would be to research and reflect on the days I want to get take out. My milestone would be to save $5k by the end of the year. Where would I write this down? It is a deadline, but it is also a goal in itself hahaha see, I'm a bit lost on that 😅 would appreciate any help and advices!

If you separate the eating out vs the saving $5k - are you familiar with the 100 envelope challenge? They're numbered 1-100. Put the number of $ in that matches the envelope number. By the end you've got just over $5k saved.
I've seen it done where people fill two envelopes a week, giving them a firm timeline.
There are downsides , the biggest for me is having $5k just chilling at home. Plus, saving $100/week isn't in the budget. It would have to wait in line behind other milestones.
I've almost convinced myself I'm going to buy a cheap one from Amazon so when I do decide to take the leap, there's no barriers. I'm REALLY good at not doing something because a beginning step is annoying.
