You guys are amazing!!
OHHH YURRRRRR!!!
#Metallica #CreepingDeath #Drums
When you play it this fast, it's no longer Creeping Death, it's just regular death
it's thrash death
More like Sprinting Death
Instant death
death >>>>>>> metallica
InputSilver9 I agree
0:42 holy shit, I wasn't ready for that blast beat
neither was I, but damn how i loved it!
That is the meanest blast Metallica fans will ever hear!!
Don't like it one bit...
God I hate blast beats so much...
And it's so unenececery.
Dyers Eve 125% Speed 😏
Pretty sure he could do it
The original speed would do. As most of us are waiting for Samus to do that one.
FixxxeR208 He already did Angel of Death tho lmao
That's suicide
Rip
This is the speed they play it at live, right?? :D
I think Lars plays it that fast, but not the rest of the band...
Started typing exactly this before I expanded the comments haha.
Good ol cocaine Lars
No bad🤘
Flawless 🤘
Battery at the 125% speed of Seattle 1989, that would be awesome!😏
Yes!
YAS! This must be done!!
Nah, whiplash from 1989
That would be 200%
🤘🏽🤘🏽
I just imagined Hetfield downpicking this
He probably could.
He does, live speed is about 1.25× from the original recording. But it's not soooo difficult. Sure, you need a lot of practice and stamina, but it's possible
Renzo Fernández I kinda can, kinda
He definitely can!!!
His arm would move as fast as a vibrator
The slow double bass in the die by my hand part is fucking perfect! Total slayer vibe
This is one of the few metal songs that sounds badass whether it's slowed down a bit or sped up.
When you did the blast beat, I had a small freakout and thought lars actually played a blast beat in the song...
Why did you make me think he could actually do that, let alone on a recording?
If Lars did that blast beat. That'll be his first and last song to play lol.
I'm not even sure if Lars plays on some of the recordings because of how shit he plays live.
A delusional fan once asked Lars if there were going to be blast beats on death magnetic... Lars gave him the most confused look ever and said "Blastbeats... ?". Really looked like he didn't know what it was lol
He could have very much done it ON A RECORDING (editing, y'know?), and maybe even live before '88, when he started to lose his stamina, but here's a really good question for you: what Metallica song would benefit from having a blastbeat in it? The only good suggestion is the bridge before the 3-rd verse in Battery, but that's literally it. They don't fit neither their style of music, nor their songwriting. Also, IMO, blastbeats kinda fucking suck. They are just so incredibly noisy and unnecessary in most cases. I'm not saying they don't fit the musical context of their related genres, they are just not an integral part of it (I wouldn't mind if you would show me an exception, a song where a blastbeat really adds to the music), and I'm definitely not saying that it doesn't require any talent, 'cause it sure does take a lot of stamina and coordination. But it's similar to drawing Mona Lisa with a dog turd on a wall. Impressive, sure, but... why?
Again, it's just an opinion that I happen to have and, maybe, I'll change my mind. Who knows?
@@barbutahelmet8966 listen to gbk
Watch at x1.25 for x1.5625 effect
Did the exact same thing!
It's like RoS playing Metallica
That's Megadeth speed.
^
@@MrAndreCoutinho Lmao exactly, at that point it’s a Megadeth song
"125% speed AND blast beats" would have been more accurate ;)
Ok, this is just all kinds of fucking awesome.
“This song is perfect and cannot be improved”
Samus: “hold my beer”.
Sheesh, tough crowd. Oh well, have a nice day 😊
@Shallex drums are better and that should be obvious to everyone. The song may not be meant to be played at this song in some people's opinions.
@Shallex why would you say the drums aren't better?
@Shallex I can get the trigger argument. Metallica had great drum production. The groove in this I feel to be superior. I can see how the fills may be over done though.
@@hbomb495 just because it's fast, doesn't mean it's better. There are many more aspects to drumming than just speed. Samus is an extraordinary drummer and quite evidently he was doing a parody, not trying to make it sound better. And ofcourse his drumming is superior to that of lars (atleast the present day lars).
absolutey PERFECT spot to sneak those blast beats in, this is fucking awesome
I keep coming back to these blasts and the speed. RIP original creeping death
Wish lars hit that double pedal more often.. LoL
He’s not capable. Fame and narcissism has made him a lazy drummer who feels like he doesn’t need to practice in order to maintain or improve his skills.
@@robbyd9847 Maybe it's more like having a family and other hobbies just like myself and the reason I dont play my guitar 5 days a week anymore...
Strange Brew... point well taken and much respected. However, Lars has taken on music as his job/profession and I feel, as a fan since 1986, he has done nothing in the last years to become a better musician. As he would himself say, “sounds stock!”
Robby D
Yeah any self respecting drummer would keep practicing or retire. Plenty of musicians way busier with day jobs and families that still find time to practice.
@@DominicAirola Yeah because you sure look like you work 60 hours a week and have toddlers grabbing at all your guitars and turning the knobs on your amp anytime you want to play...
This guy makes it look so easy. Lars makes it look difficult
Also known as "CREEPING DEATH PLAYED AT COCAINE AND SPEEBALLS ERA SPEED"
:42 all I can hear is "would you like to....have some cuddy"
Sex!
Creeping Death but it's played by another universe Lars
watch metallica creeping death moscow please its so awesome
Creeping Death but in an alternate universe where Dave Lombardo was the drummer of Metallica
Hahaha. That breakdown riff. Takes me back everytime. Back in highschool. That was when I knew for sure I was a metalhead. Horns in the air, headbanging, the works. I even got my little kid brother to chant the lyrics with me!
i was watching in 0.75
I was watching in 2×
which is 93.75% of the original speed
I kept it at normal until the breakdown came up and I had to slow it down
@@just_nst2500 how? Wouldn't it back to 100%?
@@NovaMcKay if Samus plays at 1.25 times the speed and you watch the video at 0.75 the speed, you watch the whole thing at 1.25*0.75 of the original speed ;) you'd have to watch at 1/1.25=0.8 the speed to watch Samus play the song at original tempo
Wow this guy is killer, lars couldn't do it with this much extra pace or double bass, awesome!
Actually crazy thing Lars weird off tiking helps the band when live not gonna lie
One of the few RtL songs where Lars's nonsensical crash placement doesn't kill the pulse of the song. Love that blast beat in the pre chorus
Loved this! One of my favorite songs from Metallica, and you killed it. The little quad fill at 4:55 was especially slick. Loved the blast beats too, a gravity blast might have fit well in that section too, but you killed it!
There. I have officially liked all of yurrr videos.
This is the actual creeping death demo tempo. Awesome!!!
Amazing. Love his interpretation of this classic. He kept the framework, then did his own thing.
Love how you made the drum track yours.
It's like live speed 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Speed does not kill...only makes you LARSder
This is amazing 🤘
Tati Metal ..????? Buddy Rich is amazing
@@chazzlucas6395 yep, and so is Neil Peart, and Mike Portnoy, and Danny Carey, and Tomas Haake, and our boy Samus...
That was awesome Samus you nailed it OHHHHH YURRRRRR
Awesome job! Sick extra kick fills and the blast beats were a sick idea! Hats off dude!!! :D
Love this cover so much!!!😊
I Found it! you smashed it samus 3% speed away from 122
Mr Samus. You are an amazingly gifted drummer. I wish you much success. Your timing flawless. Very very well done.
I love the blastbeat in the bridge, amazing work here Sam!
as a guitarist, my right wrist hurts while listening to this version XD still awesome
EFFORTLESS AND FLAWLESS! dude. Great song and great drumming. Keep up the amazing work brother
For the first time blasts seems so natural in nonblast song. Thanks!!!
This is the best thing I've seen in a long time. Thanks Samus
Not so much did I always fancy what you play more as how you did this. Hands and legs all moving doing their job precisely as they are told and the posture, the torso is absolutely straight in any situation. That is really cool. My teacher whenever he plays is like a little goblin around the kit, all moving and bent this way and that, and it's fun to watch too but the solidness, the monumentality of a drummer always seemed more appealing to me. It's just awesome! And the good old tratatata as well ofc)
I just have one question. Are you self taught by any chance dude? I've silently been watching your videos for quite some time now, not one for commenting, would rather just admire, learn, like the video and share your stuff. But I have always wondered but never asked.
Awesome video, as always man! 🤘Another share for sure! 👊
Noice! \m/ always look forward to your videos. Saw you live a few times and you kill it! Waiting for next time
But what if you played the video at 125% speed?
“Does that”
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD.
Insane drumming. For sure one of the best drummers in metal :D
Great Cover Samus🤘🏻
That blast made my day
AMAZING MIRACLE
much better, much more metal thanks SAMUS!!
I just found you from Leo's battery cover and dude you are unbelievable. Good absolute FUCKING job your incredible keep it up. Just gained another fan today muh man.
your fills and your blast beats are insane.
I took a *sledgehammer* , positioned my mouse cursor over the *LIKE* button for this video.. and let 'er rip!
Hell yeah man. Awesome work!
Fuck this is awesome, the added blast beats give it such a cool new flavor :D
By far the best drum mix i heard around yt👌👌
Nice work!
love the Blast Beats, man!!! just the right amount , just right!
The blast beat before the chorus is soooo fucking on point!
yeah like the perfect amount of blast beats. not too much not less
just...perfect...please do something from sepultura's 'arise' album!
Those blast beats tho 👀
You sir are a very talented musician
Well holy shit. Metallica is one is my favorite bands but Lars is definitely my least favorite drummer. The main thing I love about this is the open hi hats and not using the drop clutch.
Can you do Blackened at this speed?
Hell yeah this is awesome...great job
Blast beats, double foot pedal work.... Amazing my guy 🙏🤘
Fucken talent bud ,amazing.
OH MY!!!!! Love this!!!
You are truly an awesome drummer.
Love it. Now i can´t hear the original Version anymore :D
HELL YEAH!!!!!!nice job
My ears appreciate that unexpected blast beat
HORNS UP BRO. LOVE THIS!!!
Haha absolutely amazing. As if Lars could do blastbeats...
He doesn't need to do blast beats. Besides he has done what everyone has tried and failed many times
MUCH better. Great work.
Awesome!!
Love your videos bro!!! I would love to see you play Dimmu Borgir's The Foreshadowing Furnace!! I never got to play that song, bet you can do it!!
The blast beats in this rule!
Damn that was tight! Nice drum sound ;)
Sick!
Ohh Yurrr !!!!!! Can't wait to hear the DT songs you did with him !!!
Those look like Ocean Pacific basketball shorts from Target. I have 4 pair myself. I like wearing them when I play drums. Gotta keep the plums cool and dry
Damn bro love it at this speed!
Love the blast version!! MORE METALLICA *+* BLAST plz
yooo. that double paddle on 'die, die' part was awesome! damn im gonna do that after this
Now its like a "Running death" Great moment of adding blast!
Plus, those 16th note triplets in the solo.. that needs to be mandatory!
Awesome 🤘🏻
Wow I like it 🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻
Excellence!!👍🏻👍🏻
You might not reply which is fine but I was wondering how many drum sets you have?
you are a master men, nice!!!!
Bad ass, brother!
Bridge @.75 speed is 🤘🏻💀
Sick
BLAST BEAT!
Great drummimg!🤘
Lars would drop his jaw 😄
all we need is just some brees in addition to blastbeats to make this a full on death metal song
What a great song
Awesome drum heads.
Creeping blast beats🤘
