The Joma's French accent is just so true. Nice job, the Joma cinematic universe makes me laugh every time I watch an episode. Take the compliment from a French native speaker 😊
I believe Joma actually knows French (at least from how it sounds). I found it is easy to do a French accent after learning French. 3 simple rules: 1. Imagine you're reading French even when the words are in English. So all the phonetic rules like "i" pronounced like "e", French style r, and lack of dominant emphasis on syllables etc can flow naturally without too much mental effort. 2. "th" becomes "z" 3. For every word that's spelled the same in French and English, just say the French version and completely forget about the fact it even exists in English. You can even bend this rule, for example you can say "naturellement" instead of "naturally" for a particularly strong French accent.
His french accent sounds exactly like how anglophones who speak good french would do it here in Quebec. Also on his fake resume he listed places in Quebec. The way he pronounces Lacroix, to me it looks like saying it right is the natural way to say it for him and when the Joma character says it, it sounds like someone who would normally say it right trying to mispronounce it.
Man, you should be in film making, talent is just oozing out of you. So much content in such a short duration. Would actually love to see you work on a full feature comedy-drama about tech marketing. Way to go.
