Asus Zenbook S16 (2024) | The SKINNIEST 16-inch laptop

- Unboxing Asus' Zenbook S16 (2024), an impressively skinny 16-inch laptop boasting AMD Strix Point smarts and a gorgeous OLED display. This fresh performance notebook is about as compact as a 16-incher could possibly be, but the Zenbook S16 certainly doesn't skimp on performance or battery life.
This is a pre-production sample so I can't benchmark or test the gaming chops properly, but here's an idea of what to expect from the retail model. Full review hopefully soon!

Creators will enjoy the colour accurate OLED screen on the Asus Zenbook S16, as well as that AMD Strix Point power. You've also got an excellent keyboard and some nifty AI features, ideal for video chatting and security purposes.

Love the style of your videos mate! 😄😄
A fresh and genuine approach
Keep this stuff going!!
👏🏼👏🏼
This guy's been LOVING his laptops lately
Hi mate, greetings from Australia, I was going to look at it after seeing your awesome video , just a tip , this is the Scandinavian white , the grey is much darker 1:27
Looks awesome! Wondering about the size of that trackpad and potential issues with palm rejection like on Spectre X360 and 16" GB4P
Love that laptop !
Notebook: $999
Repair: $3299
asus laptops bricks most of the time because sometimes bios updates are included with windows updates. be aware of this
At least 1 USB-A's are a must, for a desk and carry usage, without the Bluetooth receiver for the peripherals such as mouse and keyboard. love !!!
Hi
Could you do a video review on honor magicbook x 16 please?
Be good to hear what you think 🙂
Thank you
Hey Chris, which one do you think is better, this asus zenbook s16 or samsung book 4 edge 16 inch?
One of the best looking thin-and-light productivity laptops this year!!
what screen brightness do you use? because if it is really low its no surprise it can last 12 hours
What about font rendering is that smooth or still the same blurry font?
I just want a laptop that I can't use comfortably on my bed without it getting smothered/gasping for air. I assume that top grill vent will help with this?
How reliable are these large non-haptic touchpads are?
When is it coming out?
Will it overheat if I close laptop and use it with external display? Vent holes r under display,.looks like I can't use it that way
Love you too Uncle Spurt
Existing Asus users have upgrade facility or options .?
This or Huawei mate x pro 2024 for gaming?
Is the screen freesync?
Is it durable?
Where do you get those cool Anime Images it's pretty dope
Clearly, it's ai generated
Great video as always, just a shame there is no number pad. No number pad is a fail from me. Is the RAM replaceable / upgradable? Can you install 2 hard drives in this bestie?
I hope they mean there's going to be a Snapdragon chip version when they say CoPilot +Ai, because ARM on this would be amazing for the thermals and battery
Hopefully it doesnt heat up like a frying pan like my current zenbook. The laptop itself is great but when it heats up its literally scary hot
Can't wait for you to compare this Asus S16 to the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Edge...
Galaxy Book 4 Edge is ARM and full of bugs and low performence in running emulated apps. Not to mention no chance in hell for gaming, the all crash.
The touch gestures are found on 2 year old lenovo yoga series, they had exactly the same for a while. I disabled it, since it drives you crazy. whoever thought this would be a good idea never used a touch pad on a laptop for work, when there is no place for a mouse...
Apart from that this laptops looks so nice, just whished for microSD, since I don't use fullSize SD... that's only a youtuber or photographer thing.
How do you get all these dope wall papers!?
Wallpaper Engine, Steam.
if only we could start seeing some 3k monitors
GET CRACKIN!
2:16 we got the attack on titan buisness going on there 😎
16 inch laptop with 1.5kg is crazy good
5:27 "Hi I'm Co-Pilot, here to do your bidding... except for generating an image of James Corden just existing. I wouldn't want to damage your eyes"
Soon they will go portless just to try and get that thinness.
trust asus cooling solutions 😂😂
Where wallpaper
If they launch a version of this with the Strix Halo and up to 128 gb of ram it will make the macbook pro obsolete (for non mac specific users)
Yeah this thing will overheat in a jiffy 😂😂😂
will it be offered with intel ultra 9 for people who are not into any gaming tho!?
But why? The AMD CPU is more powerful than Intel Ultra 9 and will likely have equal or better battery life. Anyway their Vivobook S 16 is very similar to this Zenbook S 16 and comes with Intel Ultra 9. It is also 1.5kg with the same display and I/O layout. However you don't get that Ceraluminum top and there is a numpad so the monster touchpad is off-center.
Stop making everything thin. The new ipad can come bend out of the box
This is slightly true, the thinner something is the lighter it is, which is objectively better for travel, but after one point it starts to lose structural integrity in favour of lightness and sleekness.
A little more thickness with an entry level gpu such as a 4050 would have been nice. There’s few laptops that have such a balance.
@@yensteelthere's asus proart and zephyrus for that, asus covers wide range of laptops
@@xem6727i just wish those laptops geared for gaming looked anywhere near this beautiful instead of that gaudy gamer look
@@extra4542 for real tho today's gaming laptops look too futuristic lmao. the only gaming laptop i personally like are the legions, but man if they could change the look to a more sleek and office kinda look theyd look a billion times better
Skinny in the warranty dept as well.
I don't care about that device. I only watch your funny videos to improve me english skills.
Asus has improved the design for the people who may only buy on looks.
Professional want a fully upgradeable RAM
upgradeable SSD
Comes with Unix or Linux support.
upgradeable wireless card
Full fixable including new battery at year 4 and 6,that's no glued on components.
Don't want a distorting breaking over heating thin laptop....there is a saying in business it got to look like the price you are paying for it....16 mm or nothing
If there warranty service is as good as it has been with the rog ally as it is with this then yes i would highly recommend one
You mixed up the colors.
The bots oh shit I'm too early i thought those comments were jokes itd real T.T
Can't wait to scratch it and be forced to pay £2000 for it
Yeah but ASUS warranties aren't worth the PDF they're not printed on.
Co-pilot = cursed
£1599.00...hmmmmm.,maybe google got it wrong.....
16 inches of laptop
Probably prefer a 15-inch and below with the same features and capability. Waiting for the full review and less weird pronunciations 😂
A skinny guy with a skinny laptop 😊
He's British not American 🤣
Without force touch, too bad
Not the end of the world😭😭😭
A white keyboard is such a dumb idea.
Dats WAAAYYYCCCIIISSSTTT! ahaha just kidding. Yeah,. the white keyboard is cringe. Would have looked better imo with a black keys on the white chassis
The same reason why silver keys are often used, or white ones in the LG Gram 16. You can hardly see fat fingers or not at all.
AI is in everything these days and that whether you want it or not.
I hate that!
Fingerprint reader and or Windows Hello support? No. Then I pass.
There’s cam hello support
@@happios Can I put my finger over it to unlock the laptop like a fingerprint sensor? didn't know that. That's super cool

So based indeed, is it any wonder why you are my favourite product reviewer ever
