Thanks for the lovely video . you re right , Umbrail pass is not that known even in Switzerland despite it is the highest road pass in the country . did it once back in the early 2000's coming from Engadin , Fuorn Pass first and then Umbrail pass , at that time the road was not fully paved , about 6km were in gravel which add some special touch to the climb . take care
Great ride and great video. You said the passes are closed from novembre may till may. That is Such a funny thing to realise... Here in The (crowded) Netherlands it is a long time when a road is closed for one day. But yes, we don't have mountains...
Servus Ingo . Umbrail ist für mich die härteste Stelvio Anfahrt . Ein Traum , wenig Verkehr . Wir Kölner sind gerade am Nassfeld , seit Tagen nur Kaiserwetter im drei Länder Eck . Morgen gehts nach Slovenien , keep on pedaling
Fantastic climb, fantastic filming, fantastic video. You want to keep the Umbrail unknown because once the crowds, coaches, cars and motorbikes come it will be ruined. Only cyclists should be allowed to ride it and the Stelvio ;@). Btw have you done a video on climbing/descending the old Gothard Pass or the old Passo di Tremelo it might be called, the one with the cobblestones? That is pretty nice to do from the few videos I have seen.

Super, gebt Gas👍
Fantastic ride!!
Inspiring!
Superb
Thanks for the lovely video! Which way would you prefer cycling the Passes. Umbrail - Stelvio oder other way round? And why?
thanks Conny, appreciated. You can't to Stelvio / Umbrail unless you fancy a downhill. Go up to Stelvio via Umbrail - brilliant ride.
@@BicycleBeyond I don't understand. You always have a downhill. Either way.
@@connysoutdoorworld talking about Umbrail, go up Umbrail and then continue to Stelvio. From there head down to Prad or Bormio
I did the Umbrail Pass and the Stilfser Joch now as you recommended. Look at my video. It's now online.👍 Enjoy!
Gratulation, Hut ab!
