I know this was years ago but, is it possible to know how long this bicycle ride is? About 30 mins perhaps considering driving takes 15 mins. I need to know for later this morning.

When you say “you have to be prepared”, do you mean fitness/training-wise? You’re a strong rider, presumably. Travelling with a few friends at the beginning of March and feeling nervous.

Just did it yesterday! It's been a dream of mine to try it for 3 years. It's a killer but an amazing feeling to get to the top. Especially as the skiing was just opened and I was the only idiot up there with a bike 😂😂 I've been watching this video over and over for years. Thank you for the inspiration.

Moin, schönes eindrucksvolles Video! Mit welcher Gesamt - Übersetzung bist du die Steigung gefahren? 12-36 hinten und vorne? Habe leider nur 39er Kettenblatt und hinten ein 32er Ritzel. Also 1,2er. Bin damit zum Zillergrundspeicher hoch ohne Probleme. Aber die Höhenstraße ist nochmal was anderes. Daher.. würde mich mal interessieren. Bin auch grade hier und möchte dort mal hoch klettern. Viele Grüße

Bin mit meiner Frau von Glurns aus den Umbrail hoch! Sie ist auch das Orbea Gain gefahren! Sie ist die Strecke (27km, 1600hm) in 2,5 Std. mit 157 Watt gemittelt (Garmin Rally beidseitig) gefahren! Zu 80% auf niedrigster Stufe! (Ausgleich Mehrgewicht!)Wenn mir einer erzählt, 157 Watt über 150 Min. hat nix mit Sport zu tun………! Nun denn! Muss wohl mehr von Sport verstehen! Das schaffen die meisten Menschen nicht mal 10 Min. beim Belastungs-EKG! Bitte demnächst vielleicht etwas differenzierter urteilen!! Ebike ist nicht = Ebike!!!

You are so lucky to live in such a beautiful area. I hate Ebikes. It saddens me so much that in the bike shop people make a bad choice or bike shops sell these people a bad choice. Ebikes are so bad for the environment with their motors and batteries which are so damaging to our planet to make and still require a big electricity plant to power them. As you say so many people now ride them. Lazy people. Leg and lung power only.

For me the biggest problem on long ride (I did 150 max alone) is sitting on the saddle for 5 /6 h without stopping. You need to get use to stay a lot of time on saddle to not get sore.

Brings back good memories! I used to cycle between Strand and Rooi Els every week in the mid 90s.

Herrliches Video, wollte am Donnerstag die Strecke fahren, allerdings habe ich die Karte nicht genau angesehen, bin von Fügen gestartet, Fügenberg und dann Hochfügen, das auf 1500 Meter liegt. So kann ich im September einen zweiten Versuch starten. Bis dahin werde ich auch ein bißchen mehr Kilometer in den Beinen haben. Allerdings mache ich mir keinen Stress beim rauffahren, und schon gar nicht beim runterfahren. Ich will schließlich noch mehr solche Panoramen geniessen wie im Video von dir.

I'm planning this climb in the beginning of august. Never did a climb like this, but I'm cycling weekly. I'm from Belgium and did already some climbs here but those are small haha.
