- This is a music video I did for a film class in 2004. It utilizes stock footage from a Classic WW2 documentary, original footage filmed in southern california and modern news footage. Additionally a live performance from Thursday on Conan O'Brien which is synced (purposefully off sync at certain parts) to fit both the music and the lyrics.
amen man... no words can describe how much i love this band. I'd give my world to chill with them for a minute...
To everyone who is complaining about how the song doesn't relate to war.
Or to the ones who are saying it does.
It's open to interpretation.
And he made it for a class. Stop arguing.
i love you thursday!
hehehe.....
ol of ur songs r great!
hope i can watch u live!
no words can describe how much i love this song =]
just great!
I'm going to see them on the 25th is Cleveland. I'm uber stoked!! I heard the Common Existence tour kicks ass
Awesome. Very deep. Gave me chills... good song too
This is pretty much amazing.
You did the song more than justice :)
This is way better then the MTV version. Thank you.
this was beautiful.
dude! that was scary good... im from NYC and that footage of the towers still freaks me the fuck out! regardless of how anyone else interprets this song, this video really strikes a chord (no pun intended) with the hearts of many! you really should think about doing full time documentaries...
very good video it was very well thought out.
Congrats, great vid!
Thursday rocks
Nice vid dude it really helps explain the song.
awesome
i love love love this song !°!
it hit me right in the heart...
we also have war here in our country...
the christians and muslims could not get along....
good song and text
Great video! 5 stars.
Great job man!
@RobertTube124 I think it's about both actually. He's using 9/11 and a lot of other potent imagery to compare this with a traumatic event. A line like "we used to be very tall buildings" obviously is referring to the WTC but it also refers to a happy childhood gone wrong or something along that line
its kevin spacey with a line from the film american beauty
awesome vid.
@thekidbehindtherock Thank you for this comment.EVERYONE'S LITTLE MINDS CANNOT COMPREHEND THE DUALITY OF THIS MASTERPIECE.
a good song. true war is on going no end thats sad
Geoff Rickly's lyrics are all about his life. I'd kill to be able to chill with this band and share life stories. To get an idea of the origin of this guys lyrics. He's a lyrical genius. "Michael" was a stupid fuck that more than likely brought his death on himself. The only reason people care enough to buy his albums and listen to him NOW is because they feel bad for his family and all his debt they have to cater to. there's no comparison..
good video, though I feel the song is for the generation that has grown up in the 90s and 2000s and should probably have more footage of events shaping those times.
NIce, gz dude :)
I hella agree with you, This guy would be chill as fuck to just hang and talk to. Im sorry that ignorant people have to piss on other peoples parades.
Fantastic video, thanks for sharing! Have the band ever seen it?
