Music video by Thursday performing Cross Out the Eyes. (C) 2001 Another Victory
It's only Wednesday, but I couldn't wait.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🔥
This band is the reason I dedicated my entire life to playing drums. I am 27 and finally starting to make headway in my local scene. I owe everything I know to this band.
congrats man
I once saw these guys in a sweltering basement in Lancaster, PA. I think it was 2001, with Skycamefalling, Set Ablaze, and Christiana. I remember it so vividly. There was close to a hundred people packed into a tiny town house basement in the middle of summer. Thursday played their asses off. To this day, it's one of the best shows I've ever been to.
Saw them at Rex’s in West Chester around the same time. Makes me nostalgic for all the small venues that don’t exist anymore.
My experience with them was house of blues in ac roughly 18 years ago
Skycamefalling!
Best part is when music going down at 1:10 and the melody goes dissonant and drums syncopated and the metaphor lyrics omg makes me float
I was introduced to these guys in 2000’s when I was 13 and just getting into punk. First two bands I fell in love with: Thursday and Dead Kennedys
Jesus. How does this only have 49k views? One of my fav songs of all time.
sike
didnt expect to see the most well known minecraft parody singer here

My ex drum student got me hooked on Thursday, thanks Jennifer wherever you are.
Watching this on a Thursday feels... right.
Im 29 now and i listened to this band in high school. Still has the same impact on me now that it did back then.
+Aaron D. Same here, 29 as well
+Aaron D. Same here started listening to them in the 8th grade and now 29 still rocking out. Bands these days just don't quite compare the raw energy that Geoff gave on the stage to his fans and his love of music
Same here!
+Aaron D. 26 and still rocking to Thursday.
same, but I'm only 26. Thursday is still my favorite band.. although I've never met anyone who has even heard of Thursday much less a fan. that's fucking ridiculous. so underrated.
this is not any genre that ends in core...it is just pure poetry...
@tearsofromance that's bars
Poetry-core?
I’m 40 yrs old and this song and Thursday was the definition of my youth. These lyrics got me thru some of my worst days, and still do.
That’s the difference in REAL music/art and today’s dime a dozen bullshit. Real music stays relevant years and always
Right on bro 🤘🏼
I love you brother! You just summed up my thoughts in a single paragraph, 40 in December, I get you x
38 y/o here, this was such an important record
Still holds up. Amazing songwriting with a passionate delivery. The whole Full Collapse album gives me chills. Perfection.
I just listened to the album all the way through for the first time and wholeheartedly agree. Perfect album.
Couldn't agree more.
I miss my good friend we would listen to Thursday and other emo music all day and play video games and hangout. I miss him. He tried to tell me certain weed smokers I hu h out with were scumbags and I was “smoking too much” I offended and we never really had hate, we just fell apart. I miss him a lot but oh well. I was born to abuse substances because of my personality disorder.
Miss you bro. Always with ya
Figured i'd join in here...31 with 3 kids here and still to this day...Thursday is fucking amazing. Half the reason I wanted to play music. Music these days lack passion...that can never be said about Thursday.
Thursday was amazing. Jet black new year was so good. Check these guys out. ua-cam.com/video/0lk4NlqJlKY/v-deo.html
Yepp Thursday is a legitimately fantastic band and if you like them, I think it's for life. This isn't Blood On The Dancefloor where you realize all the music was childish trash, I actually understand the depth of the lyrics more as I age. And the music itself is very complex, I started taking guitar lessons and realized how difficult it would be to play any of Thursday's songs.
hey man i figured you needed a reminder to listen to thrice and saosin / circa survive too. yer welcome
Just getting into Thursday
Welcome to a new addiction.
Check out their albums War All The Time and No Devolución as well! I've been a Thursday fan since high school, graduated almost 3 years ago, and just heard No Devolución the other night. One of their best, easily top 2
Never too late
@internet internet damn dude that just like actualized how old I am. thanks...
@internet internet you both are young i was in my 20s
He's a phenomenal singer, and so much raw emotion goes into his vocals. I love him!
Good ol' jamz🎶
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🎶
Fit Black T-Shirt
Slim Fit Jeans
Converse or Vans Oldskool Sneakers
This Is My Favourite Rock Band Style Forever
do you still wear like this?i still rock black or band t shirts, slim fit or skinny jeans, vans shoes and checked flannel shirts
Hardcore band t-shirt
Camo cargo shorts
Saucony Jazz sneakers
Military cap
That was my favorite look from back in the day. I still dress like this, except for maybe the camo shorts (though I still own a pair lol).
The band's look is more straight leg cut jeans. Not slim, skinny.
This song was the gateway into an unbelievable amount of music when I was in middle school. Crazy to look back and see that they were basically just kids, too. Kids making the music that I really needed then, and that I need again now that I'm in my 30s.

I love this song still, classic!
I remember watching this on MTV during the early morning hours....
yes, mtv actually played MUSIC at one point.
Kinda stupid how a channel that's literally called "Music TV" rarely ever shows any music related anything. Oh well I don't even like TV anyway, except for Comedy Central, that's about it though.
i was just thinkin this. when headbanger ball return in the early 2000s n started playing screamo
Unless you buy every record you listen to and are a crusader for musical justice, you complaining about MTV not playing music doesn't make a whole lotta sense.
I remember watching them play this at coffee shops and shithole bars in the midwest ~2001. Was much to my surprise to see it at 6am on MTV a couple years later.
i remember when the whole emo trinity ( mcr , panic!, fob) were on mtv ... now its just fob
Masterpiece
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🎶
I remember having this one completion dvd I got from
Best Buy or some place. They also had Grade-termites hollow and some ska band-

im 29 now married with my first child on the way, and can honestly say this music defined me
i thought i was the only 29 year old enjoying this music haha.. married as well! No kids yet.
28 here and still rocking this..Thursday was my jam back in jr high high school..saw them live :)
27 and still rockin out!
26 reliving the past
I'm 28 and I think this was the last kind of music to have real substance
Full Collapse has stood the test of time.
Curiously Panda absolutely
AND War All The Time
Dunno who THE ALGORITHM demands I watch this again today, but it is a good recommendation.
My favorite band during High School. I saw them just once in Houston, they played Full Collapse in its entirety. And then I got to say Hi to them outside the venue. Those were the days.
Yes me too. They were do down to earth !!
I saw these guys with Coheed and AFI back in the day....epic concert.....miss those times...
Ugh I would give anything to see AFI and Thursday together.
Thrice played on that tour too
+Zeke's Roaster yes they did. It was outstanding show. Top 5 I have ever been to.
Holy fuck, what a line up
Jackhammer so did i, Warp tour 2003 in Los Angeles!!!
I love coming back to this band and re living my childhood. So much nostalgia. So much talent.
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🎶
33 years young and still play this like it was the first time I listened to it.
I feel like this song changed my fragile teenage life for sure. Or maybe this band period. Either way, 37 year old man now and it still makes me feel a type of way❤ ..Love THURSDAY
So good this band never gets old to me, same with Thrice.
Im a 40 yr old middle aged man and this still holds up. Fucking timeless
Discovered this band when I was 12, 2008. Now, February, 6, 2021, still listening to this. Emo Not Dead!
I've been listening to this for half of my life now. I was given the album as a gift in highschool and I'm turning 33 soon.
Been singing this song since my junior year of high school! Spring 2001 baby! Thursday was and is still a life changing band for me! Thanks Thursday!
My nephew's favorite band. Who unfortunately completely planned his suicide on Oct 13th fell on a Thursday. Plus it was my own sons birthday that day and so also introduced my nephew to this band. His mother cremated him in his Thursday shirt. I recently seen Thursday for the first time. House of blues , they true to their sound and style. They carry a very youthful signature sound. Capturing a generation that's in my opinion, going extinct faster than most. .
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🎶

May he rest in power. ✊🏿 We can always find solace in these jams.
"TILL....WE.....DIIIIIEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" So good!!
Why does this album perfectly describe what just happened in western North Carolina on a Thursday night (September 26th 2024)? I can’t explain it, but it’s helping me get through it. I’ll forever love my Thursday! One of the bands that completely changed my life, helping me through the aftermath of a devastating storm that completely changed the lives of everyone around me. I don’t know what kind of tragedy you guys had to go through to write this, but I’m sorry and I love you guys ❤
Music video gives off serious saw vibes
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🔥
This whole album is a masterpiece
I remember being a freshman. And I fell in love with this album. And I heard they made a video for this song. Cause my drummer saw it.
But back then. Streaming and UA-cam didn’t exist. And it wasn’t until 06 that I finally got to see this video haha.
I have at least 10 hours of VHS tapes recording Head banger ball hoping that they would be featured. But i never got it recorded. And didn’t get to see it for another 5 years haha
Amazing. I gotta admit. Sometimes I wish I was born in a different time.
But I’m glad I got to grow up with bands like Thursday. And taking back Sunday’s first record. Etc.
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” by SLT 🤘🪖
love how intensely and passionately they played...oh man the nostalgia is overwhelming...

Song Lyric :
Let's call this the quiet city:
Where screams are felt as a wave of stoplights
Drive through the the streets as gunshots punctuate the night
The sides we take divide us from our faith
And the morning dove gets caught in the telephone wire
Asleep you set the fire in your own house
And the night was a knife that cut
And I'm paralyzed
Cross out the eyes
Blur all the lines
Tearing this canvas from the wall
We crossed out the eyes
Put lines through these cries
We pulled all the leaves from the trees that fall
A silent dance that we did into this hospital bed
Hear voices from another room
"It happens all the time"
But July in the sand
Then the leaves fall down
And counting down our days to live
Drain the blood from this valentine.
"We can rise on the wings of the dove
See blue skies getting caught in the trail of all this smoke
We can rise like candles in the dark, yours always"
and an envelope marked with your new address
It was the first time face to face
I'm crossing the line
Talking to the other side of death
Hearing the words that choke memories into flat lines
I'm calling your name hoping for something to wash these dreams of you away
Our fence was blown down in a winter storm and this field
Stretched out of this world into the sound of a trace of blood in a love song
What can we do to put a stop to the coming white days?
I'm hoping the snow will push these dreams of you away
Thusday - Cross Out The Eyes.
Damn, remember being a sophomore in HS and excitingly showing my friends the Thursday song from a victory records compilation cd I got the night before at a concert, those were good times.
One of the greatest bands ever… period!

why can't modern post-hardcore bands be this awesome......? ugh.. i've been listening to these guys since i was 13.. still have yet to find a band as amazing..
I remember when I was 13 and constantly played this song. Glad I came across it again.
You and me both man. Thursday is a fun band to play guitar on. This and wind up were always fun to play
Im thirteen rn and this is just so cool
Jealous you got to know about this band when you were 13
Can’t believe these guys will be in my city this week.
Happy 20th anniversary dudes
If your listening to this in July 2021 or later, your an absolute legend.
Amazing❤
got the dove tated on my left bicep. best band ever
Cross out the eyes, blur all the lines, tear this canvas from the wall!
Words can not express what this song means to me. I Feel like this is my soul.
Still listening!!
This is such a powerful video. Such a good song 🖤
35, 3 kids, wife, mortgage, truck and car payments etc etc... still fucking love Thursday. Have since their very beginning.
Shitt I'm 32 years old and still listen to this band
No worries. 31 here and still super dope. Rock on brother. Music ain't even close these days.
Haha I'm 40 ...these guys were my lifeline in my late teens and early 20s. Amazing music.
i remember this on a kerrang cd in 2001, fully got me into this band

This is so good but you must hear “Glory” or “Seen/Unseen” by SLT 🤘🪖
they screaming adlibs are too dope over his voice
This is what a lot of bands that tried biting their style completely missed. The screaming doesn't have to coincided with the vocals at the same time. Thursday went for a purposely sloppy overlacing for dramatic effect and it's pure art
Always keep faith 🌸
This is so good but you must hear “Whispering Wolf” or “Glory” by SLT 🤘🐺🔥
Saw them in Toronto open for alexisonfire in 2011. All the while not knowing that it was the 10 year anniversary of Full Collapse which they played in its entirety. Pure gold
i'm incredibly jealous you got to enjoy this! lucky u!
I would love to buy the camera operator a beer. I love the random and quick camera movements of the band. Beautiful filmography.
2019🔥🔥🔥 This band, this, album and their live shows during this time. 🤘🔥 Sooo damn good. Glad I got to witness it all.❤
Sab L same.
2021 still bumping this
Can’t believe this video is not at 1 million views
Saw y’all in Vegas back in October 2022, so fucking good. Love y’all

I'm 37, married with 8 kids and can tell you that listening to Thursday on a Friday makes time stand still (figuratively speaking).
this was the first song I heard by them via Victory Style 5 and I HATED it at first... it sounds so different from 90s emo bands that I knew, and definitely doesn't sound like what I expected from Victory back then. I hated the vocals especially, because his voice was too weird and distinctive for my taste. But something was stuck with me and I kept coming back to this song again and again. I still didn't know if I like them or not, but I kinda became addicted to this song. I finally decided to buy Full Collapse CD one day at Tower Records in my small hometown in Japan, and it took only a few weeks for me to consider them as my #1 favorite band. I got to survive really hard times thanks to them since then, and got to know so many great bands via them, including You and I, who I admire so much and took one of their song title as my username. 20 years later I still love them as much as my teenager days. I really hope they will make new music again. No Devolucion was such a great album and I want to know what they progress from that album.

This is the band that inspired MCR?
No wonder they blew up, this is some good stuff right here
This is so good but you must hear “Glory” by SLT 🤘🪖
Definitely one of the bands that inspired them and they were both from NJ. Geoff Rickly (singer of Thursday) produced the first MCR record. Geoff also provided guest vocals on "This Is the Best Day Ever" from MCR and Gerard Way did some guest vocals/screams on Jet Black New Year by Thursday.
How this video doesn't have even 500k views blows my mind
It's 866K now 🤘

Heard this song when it came out, Comcast on-demand iykyk, and never looked back. Full blown metal head.
Full Collapse de Thursday y What it is to burn de Finch estarán siempre enlazados en mi mente, una excelente época, grandes álbumes de grandes bandas desestimadas.
