For flushing my BRS 7 stage with booster pump and manual flush valve.
I use 3 TDS probes at various stages but I also have 2 more TDS probes, one on my source water line and one on my waste water line. I flush until the TDS matches or is within 10 TDS of each other. It ends up around 250ish TDS for and takes about 10 or 15 minutes. My source water TDS can be as high as 370 at times. It’s concerning how much it can fluctuate.
I’ve thought of doing another 75pgd membrane with the smart buddie, what is the TDS difference if there is any and what was the pressure loss adding another membrane? I see our booster pumps are rated for 50-100gpd rodi systems so just curious before I move forward with it

so now that you have had this for a few months who do you like it? couple of questions:
1. can you leave this hooked up to an open =flowing water line and let the shut off and the float valve manage it?
2. how long is the RO flush and why did you say it was on the short side?
3. looked like your pressure was bouncing is that normal with booster pumps?
4 my pressure is around 50 PSI debating on this or the water saver upgrade kit. if you where only to get 1 what would you choose? and why.
oh and I finally subed. as I fellow RS650P owner got to keep it real.

How did you stop the jiggling? Mine jiggles like crazy too.
If the pressure is jumping around like that it is indicative of some air in the system. Should eventually work its way out
ah thanks. I just installed this thing and my pressure is jumping like that and one of the lines is shaking pretty strong. Both should resolve after some use?
That’s wired wrong. It’s supposed to go into your DI resin then into the pump then out to your bin

I feel bad too. It was a really tough situation with the state locking down, the professional services all cancelling, a surprise cold storm, and unexpectedly low water pressure. My best laid plans went awry. Though, I am very happy to have the fish that did make it.
