    Always love seeing a Juji appearance! Meg, I would love to hear some of your thoughts on warms ups for us more hypermobile folks. I deal with this in my lower body and my PT recommended no stretching, only activation/stabilization style warm-ups. I feel like it's hard to find content about this in the lifting community with there being more of a focus on increasing mobility.

      I'm hypermobile in my knees and for stretches that require extension in that area i always make sure to maintain a micro bend. basically don't lock out your knees. dynamic warmups are your best bet so exercises like leg swings, lunges etc. im sure you can find some dynamic stretches for the lower body on youtube. hope that helps!

    It drives me nuts in fitness classes where I’m told that I have anterior pelvic tilt even when I know I’m standing up straight because of my body fat distribution

      It's very hard to stretch larger muscles! Please develop flexibility first and then grow big. I'm struggling at 273 lbs to get flexible.

    So, I have scoliosis...and don't arch at all (I put my legs up) or only a little arch...is it better or worse when you have a back issue like that?

    Back in the day (90's/2000's) I never arched my back and thought it was bad form - and it looked terrible in my opinion. Always had my feet up crossed ankles in the air. VERY surprised that this is acceptable form. Perhaps I've beed doing this wrong all that time?

    'everyone loves you' -- eh, not everyone. i watch megsquats because she's one of the few natural fitness youtubers (along with others like alphadestiny, natural hypertrophy, alec enkiri, and geoffrey verity schofield). so guests that are clearly on steroids (he's admitted it in the past) aren't really desirable by everyone. if i wanted steroid abusers, i'd be watching more plates more dates or coach greg instead.

      Steroids don't discredit a lifter from having good advice or mobility. I think it's important to get a well rounded mix of tips and tricks, and I personally appreciate Meg featuring other folks in the community. You can always skip this video if it's not your taste.

      As long as he is honest about using PEDs I wouldn't dismiss him. There are alot of people who are on peds who have great advice, as long as they are not lying about using then they should alteast get the benefit of the doubt. Alex Bromley has used PEDs in the past and has been honest about it and has discussed the cons of using, and he has been one of the fitness guys that I have learned the most from by far and I don't like the idea of using PEDs at all.

    • @rinkuhero
      @rinkuhero Рік тому

      @@reggie7716 i wouldn't dismiss him, and not saying he has no good advice. just that i don't personally like looking at people addicted to drugs who look so unnatural, and i don't think they are overall doing good in the world since they are causing a lot of younger people to have body dysmorphia. even if they are honest about their PED use, they are causing people to want to look like that, they are portrayed in media as having bodies that people should aspire to, which is encouraging drug use by their very existence.

    • @rinkuhero

      @@reggie7716 as for bromley, i don't mind him as much because he currently (or so he says) doesn't use steroids. juju currently still uses them, and still promotes using them, and juju doesn't talk about the negatives of them or warn other people away from them the way bromley does.
      though i wouldn't give bromley a 100% pass either. bromley has said in the past that he believes low/moderate steroid use is less dangerous than alcohol or cigarettes. which is just patently false. on average bodybuilders die younger than people who smoke all their lives and people who are alcoholics. it's just statistical fact. he might not be familiar with the science behind it, but he's still putting out false info (he's said that just using a low dose of steroids, at the level bodybuilders used in the 60s, is perfectly healthy, and it's only the higher doses that are dangerous. that isn't true, the lower doses are still dangerous, just not as dangerous.)
